Bad Boy Mowers I got a Maverick with the bagging attachment

I got a Maverick with the bagging attachment. The bagging system needs some serious re-engineering. It's a two bagger so the bags are extremely heavy when full. The left bag fills 5 or more times before the right bag. In fact, the right bag hardly gets clippings until the left is overfilled. Very difficult to remove blower if you want to leave clippings, service, or clean. Potential premature bag wear from sliding heavy bags off framework. The Maverick itself is satisfactory but does tear up turf on tight turns. Overall, the Maverick is overbuilt for residential and very heavy, especially with the bagging system. Mower OK, but pass on the bagging system.

I purchased a new MZ Magnum 54" last spring and I couldn't be more happy with it. It provides a uniform cut and my yard literally looks like carpeting when I get done. It is very comfortable to use and turns on a dime. The dealership I purchased it from was very knowledgeable about the mowers and made sure I understood the 3 year warranty on the engine and 2 years on the mower itself. I would highly recommend a Bay Boy to anyone in the market for a new zero turn mower.

Bought my 1st zero turn at Tractor Supply new in Nov. 2018 for approx. $4,000.00 (Bad Boy MZ Magnum 54"). May went to mow and right side transmission/transaxle went out, that's 2 years 5 months old. Warranty is 2 years... so the 5 months when it wasn't being used got me. I did the belt adjustment and bled the system in case air was in there nothing changed "Transmission is a sealed unit so no filters/oil or anything to change". Called Bad Boy and well, 2 years is 2 years... the positive is they sold me a transmission directly a little cheaper than I could buy from a dealer - for me to "install myself", cost was just under $500.00. In the 2 years I used it a cable broke twice also went thru 2 sets of proprietary blades which aren't cheap and the hour meter never worked from day one. The one time I let my son start it he double bumped the starter which bent starter shaft (so just an extra FYI) the starter it comes with is cheap the replacement is better. My yard is about 1 acre, the mower wasn't over used or abused by any means. I'm very disappointed in Bad Boy, I thought they were the best zero turns out there but sadly found out different.

In 2014, I bought a new Bad Boy Mower for $14000. It currently has 82 hours on it in the 6 years I have owned it. Last week while mowing, the right rear tire came loose on the axel and fell off. The wheel fell off! This is something that should never happen in 10,000 hours much less 82. The fact that it is 6 years old is immaterial. There are two possible explanations. Either the axle nut was never properly torqued from the factory or this is an inferior design. Either way, Bad Boy needs to make some concession on the repair. Thus fat they have refused to do so.

My badboy mz 54 inch mower had 125 hours on it when the bolts holding the transaxle's broke resulting in the brackets that holds them on breaking off and the wheels bending up and hitting the sides of the mower, badboy supplied me with new brackets to be welded on at my cost, 11 hours later the left transaxle started leaking hydraulic fluid resulting on me replacing it for $645.00, badboy said there was nothing they could do to help.

Bad Boy Mowers I got me a Bad Boy Rebel lawn mower 'bout two months back and just got it this month

I got me a Bad Boy Rebel lawn mower 'bout two months back and just got it this month. Used it for only four hours and dang, the wheel motor went kaput 'cause them folks didn't install the axle right. Got it fixed up and used it for another four hours 'fore the wiring harness went haywire. I tell ya, it's mighty frustrating 'cause I make my livin' mowin' folks' yards. I shelled out over $12,500 for this fancy new mower and all I got is trouble. Called up them manufacturer fellas to return it, but they said they don't take returns, not even in the first 30 days. As of now, this mower's still gettin' fixed and I can't even use it. Thanks a bunch, Ronald

I purchased a BadBoy ZT Elite 54inch with the Kawasaki Engine. Ever since I have owned it the mower has had nickel and dime problems. It has had broken deck arms, broken plastic deck blocks, a broken tension spring (some of these within 10 hours of use) the electric deck actuator broke twice, once I took it to a dealer and it was fixed under warranty. The work took over a week, so the second time I installed a manual deck lift. The company sent it to me for free, but the point is I bought a mower with an electric lift that should still be working flawlessly. I cannot get this mower to cut my yard even AT ALL. I have leveled the deck dozens of times and it cuts like garbage. I have put new blades on it thinking that might be it, (4 sets) still cuts like absolute trash. I use my sons 800 dollar rider and it cuts better(John Deere) now the hydraulic wheel motor is sticking and will not engage unless I move the handle back and forth, over and over. And the kicker, this machine has 94 hours. I'm sorry, but I would love to either get my hard earned 6000 plus dollars back, or have BadBoy trade me a new machine for this because maybe this is just a Wednesday build. But customer service says they can't do anything for me. I will probably have to drop more money into it to get it the way it should have been from the factory, but hey maybe BadBoy corporation might do the right thing.

We purchased a 2019 Bad Boy Renegade from a local dealership. After less than 60 hours of routine, light use the engine began to misfire. We returned it to our local dealership only to discover that in fact that despite being listed as an authorized dealer, they were ill equipped to service the mower, acknowledging their lack of experience and absence of on-hand software to run proper engine diagnostics. After nearly two months of the dealer struggling to determine the cause of the engine misfire issue, we wrote Bad Boy mowers via their online contact option in hopes of a robust response. Unfortunately, no response was received. After receiving no response via their contact form we relayed our message to the individual emails listed on their website. After finally receiving a response, Bad Boy mowers simply deflected and deferred all responsibility for the issue, offering their apologies and nothing more. The response, which came from Jeremey *** simply deflected responsibility to the mower engine manufacturer. The only offer of assistance and extent of customer service Bad Boy Mowers presented was to provide contact information for the engine manufacturer. This was the response after communicating that not only were we without a mower for 45+ days, but deployed overseas serving our country, thus challenged with typical means of daily engagement in the states. There was no offer to contact the dealer. No offer of a loaner. No offer of a replacement. No offer of a refund. No offer of anything but provision of contact info to deflect the issue to another recipient. While we understand and appreciate that any product is comprised of components from individual vendors and suppliers, in this instance, Bad Boy Mowers failed to value us as a customer, failed to recognize that while it was apparently a individual component that failed - that component is part of the product they market and sell - their brand - their reputation. Lastly, they were and apparently continue to be willingly distributing their product via dealers who are ill equipped to address any mechanical or warranty issues encountered and apparently either unwilling or ill equipped to compensate for that calculated decision at the corporate level . Bottom line - based on our experience, customer service and product support is woefully inadequate, and Bad Boy Mowers does not appear willing or motivated to address their organizational, product and service deficiency. We made a mistake trusting the reputation of Bad Boy Mowers.

Bad Boy Mowers Claims to be a beast but is just OK

Claims to be a beast but is just OK. The power deck and lack of greaseable spindles are gimmicky and cause problems over time. The dealer we bought it from is terrible. They don't provide any support for service and have no interest in taking it back for a bigger model. If the local dealer in Mississippi doesn't care about these mowers, it's best to avoid them in the future.

I have a 2016 Bad Boy ZT Elite 60" Kawasaki with 120 hours of residential use (only one residence). I paid around 5k for it but Ranchland Tractor only offered 500 in trade-in value. They promised free service pick-ups and deliveries during the purchase, but they never followed through. Corporate doesn't have any influence on how local dealers sell their products, and there are ethical issues with them.

Bad Boy Mowers I bought a Bad Boy Bagger from Abby Farm Supply in Millington, TN

I bought a Bad Boy Bagger from Abby Farm Supply in Millington, TN. I've had problems with the bagger since I got it. Abby Farm Supply tried fixing it five times, but couldn't help me. I contacted Bad Boy, who's supposed to be the best at lawn mowers, but they did nothing. I sent them pictures showing the bagger was installed wrong, but still no response. Then they had the nerve to ask for warranty info. Don't they know their own warranty? Don't buy anything from Bad Boy. They just want your money and won't support their product. You'll be disappointed if something happens to your lawn mower and accessories. They won't help you. Check these reviews before buying from them. I wish I did. What a letdown. Customer service is terrible.

Bad Boy Mowers I been lookin at zero turns for a few months, but decided to buy the MZ Avenger 60" at my local store

I been lookin at zero turns for a few months, but decided to buy the MZ Avenger 60" at my local store. The 60" was only $100 more than the 54". No brainer there. So far this mower been livin up to its name. I mow bout 6 acres all together between 3 different yards and it cut my mowin time in half. Did the "break in" oil change last weekend with no problem. The accessibility on this mower to do regular maintenance is one of the main reasons I bought it. I can lift up the floor panel and blow out all the grass easy. The deck is the best part. I like that Bad Boy puts 7 gauge decks on all their mowers. I put it through some test cause my yard ain't level and I mow round a lot of trees and bushes. All in all I really enjoy mowin on my Bad Boy. If only they could build a weedeater that would make that activity more fun. I would highly recommend the Bad Boy ZT Avenger to anyone.

Bad Boy Mowers I gotta say, I ain't got no problems with them mowers

I gotta say, I ain't got no problems with them mowers. I had a 60" ZT elite for a few years and some weird stuff happened, but they fixed it under warranty. Other than that, no problems. But let me tell ya, them tractors are a whole different story. I bought a brand new 2024h this year and I already got 50hrs on it. When I hit 42hrs, I called up my dealer to get some parts like filters and oil 'cause they're so dang far away. But that dealer didn't respond, so I called up Bobby at bad boy and asked him about them tractors. He was real quick to answer all my questions and sent me a list of all the part numbers I needed. A few days later, I ordered all them filters and found some good fluids nearby. At the same time, I had a warranty issue that my dealer didn't care about. Now, that ain't the dealer's fault, but Bobby helped me out by getting the warranty processed through another dealer. They gonna drop ship the loader valve I need. But here's the thing, I been waiting a whole month for that loader valve from Bad Boy. Meanwhile, all them filters showed up just a few days after I placed the order. I get that warranty claims take longer, but it's been a whole month since I submitted it. Now I'm stuck between Love Power Equipment in Homosassa FL and Bad Boy. I'm seriously thinking about taking my equipment back and getting me a Kubota instead.

Bad Boy Mowers Not happy with my bad boy purchase

Not happy with my bad boy purchase. Purchased one in 2019 and spent more time in the dealer than I had It. Still have it to this day and has a lot of issues that should've been under warranty but the dealer wouldn't do anything. Would not recommend and will let everyone know not to buy a bad boy. They never did try to make it right. Over priced and not high quality.

Bad Boy Mowers Choke and throttle cables

Last month I bought a 2023 rouge mower. When I was mowing. I smelt something burning. It was the coating on my choke and throttle cables. They’re routed against the manifold. Also my caps or covers back there on my frame was melted. Only put 4 hours on it. I spent over $100.00 dollars on heat wrapping. And tied them back from the manifold. ( a little ) hope that works. It’s a non fuel injected 35 horse mower. With a Kawasaki engine. I feel they should be a recall on them. So it could be fixed. I’m happy with the mower. But a poor way to route cables.

Bad Boy Mowers I took my mower to Badboy dealer

I took my mower to Badboy dealer. It's Cole tractor in Mendenhall, MS. I took it on July the 5th. It's been almost 3 months and still haven't got it fixed even though they said they would in 2 weeks, 3 weeks max. They give me the runaround on it and keep saying they're waiting on parts. I've been patient but it has become ridiculous. I only wish that someone with some authority would look into this.

Bad Boy Mowers Renegade bought brand new in February '22

Renegade bought brand new in February '22. Had issues with the deck staying level multiple times. Also had to change parts on the deck level adjustment knob 'cause it would drop a level. Bought the first deck belt when it broke. Had to adjust the pulleys. Had to replace one pulley with 2 others that were bad at the moment. Another belt broke today. Mower only has 120 hours. I reckon this is the third belt that breaks. Way too much downtime. Some of it was covered by warranty and the dealer did other stuff in-house.

Bad Boy Mowers I bought a new mower from Bad Boy dealer on 3/19

I bought a new mower from Bad Boy dealer on 3/19. The mower ain't been cuttin' right from the start. They tried fixin' it many times, but it always comes back with the same problem. The dealer gave up on it. I reached out to a Bad Boy rep, and he promised it would be fixed months ago. They picked it up 6 weeks ago and left us with nothin' to mow. Still no solution, and now neither the Bad Boy rep nor the authorized rep are returnin' our calls. The dealer says the unit can't be fixed. Bad Boy better give us our money back in full!

Bad Boy Mowers I bought a mower from a local Badboy vendor

I bought a mower from a local Badboy vendor. I had the mower for about 8 months and only used it for 23 hours. One morning, I started the mower and after driving about 20 feet, the motor died and wouldn't start again. I called the dealership and they transported the mower to their facility. When we got there, the tech checked the fluids and they were full. The tech started the engine and it ran, but they said that oil was coming from the rear of the engine. They told me it would be covered by the warranty (2 years). Later, I received news that Kawasaki wouldn't cover the warranty because the mower ran out of oil! This is not true, and I have two witnesses to prove it. The dealership told me it would cost an additional $3,000.00 to replace the engine. That's not acceptable.

Bad Boy Mowers Bad Boy has been real slow and ain't been gettin' back to us 'bout our refund for this equipment that just don't work right

Bad Boy has been real slow and ain't been gettin' back to us 'bout our refund for this equipment that just don't work right. We got ourselves a 3 bagger system for our Cowboy Outlaw mower 'round June . We bought it from this dealer in O'Fallon, MO called Western Lawn. Right from the start, the bagger didn't do its job. The tube kept gettin' clogged up, the bags didn't fill up right, and the dang bagger itself made one side of the deck all lopsided, messin' up the cuttin'. We went to Western Lawn to complain, and they tried callin' Bad Boy lots of times, but all they got was some short and useless emails back. Western Lawn told me I had to deal with them, 'cause Bad Boy wouldn't talk to me directly. Here's my call log: June 6th, June 18th, June 30th, Aug 6th, Aug 14th, Sep 11th, Sep 26th, Oct 3rd. I also got a little email thread goin'.

Bad Boy Mowers We bought a 50" Zero Turn Bad Boy Mower July from Texarkana New Holland

We bought a 50" Zero Turn Bad Boy Mower July from Texarkana New Holland. In June we noticed the seat was breaking. In July we went to the store and was gonna order a new one. Found out it was still under warranty. I was told since it was, it would have to go through the Service Dept. I said ok and to order it. Didn't hear back from them in a month so went back to the store. They hadn't ordered it and they told me they had a lot of trouble with those seats and may not cover it. Found out the seats are made of wood! Why not metal? Then in Sept I got a bill for the seat but never got the seat. When I called they said a seat cover came in instead of the seat so they reordered. On 11/29 I called the office in Batesville and was told if one was ordered it would be a 2-3 day turn around. Called in December - no seat. Called in January and said it was ordered but with the Holidays they were backed up. Here it is 6 months later and still no seat!

Bad Boy Mowers BRG6135KAXXXXXXXX X/27 price $11127.62

BRG6135KAXXXXXXXX X/27 price $11127.62. Financed @ *** Finance owe $7100.00. The drive belt on my 2021 Bad Boy Mower broke, and it turns out it was put on backwards at the factory. Unfortunately, there were no available repairs for a whopping 3 1/2 weeks. I had to shell out $48 for a new belt and find someone to put it on for me. As if that wasn't enough, the choke cable also broke, making it impossible to start the mower. I tried to schedule repairs and maintenance at ***'s motorsports, but they couldn't fit me in until the second week of June. I needed new plugs, oil, and blades, among other things. When I finally picked up my mower, I discovered that the USB port was damaged. The guy at the shop said he would fix it later, but who knows when that will actually happen. When I attempted to cut grass, I noticed that the deck was uneven, with the right side measuring 5 1/4 R and the left side measuring 6 1/2. It was a sloppy cut. Frustrated, I called *** equip and they charged me $50 just to pick up the mower. Turns out, the rear suspension "O" bolt had broken, and it was made of inferior metal. I have the broken part as proof. On top of that, the accelerator wouldn't hold, and the deck spindle squealed. I had to return it for repairs, and it took another two hours of cutting grass before I noticed that the left rear wheel was tilted about 4 - 5 degrees. It seems like there are some broken parts or low-quality metal used in this mower. Honestly, this thing is a complete lemon-junk.

Bad Boy Mowers The mower I bought from Bad Boy Mowers, LLC about 6 months ago is giving me a lot of trouble

The mower I bought from Bad Boy Mowers, LLC about 6 months ago is giving me a lot of trouble. Nobody seems to know how to fix it, and even the manufacturer themselves won't do anything to help me. It's still under warranty, but they won't do nothing to fix it.

The first time I took it in, they looked at it and said there was nothing wrong. They sent me on my way, but the shaking problem persisted. The second time, I managed to get the owner to look at it. He said it was a bad pulley, but told me to keep using it while he ordered a new one. I took it back to have the pulley put on, and the guy there told me it was fixed. But when I tried it, it was still shaking.

To make matters worse, the guy also lowered the deck without telling me, so when I went to mow some nice yards, I ended up messing them up really bad. I even got fired because of it. I had to pay for parts out of my own pocket because they said they weren't covered under the warranty. And I lost a lot of money because I couldn't use the mower properly since it was mowing too low.

I contacted Bad Boy directly to seek help or maybe get a new mower since it's still new. But they told me they can't send out a new one just because the deck is out of adjustment. They told me to go to a different dealer, which I did, but I got the same runaround. They said everything looks fine, but the main problem I was having, the shaking, still hasn't been fixed. I have a record of all the emails they sent me.

Bad Boy Mowers Safety issue with Bad Boy mower We recently purchased a ZT Avenger from an authorized

Safety issue with Bad Boy mower We recently purchased a ZT Avenger from an authorized. The dealer was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable. After getting the mower home I realized when trying to go in reverse the steering bars go into your ribs. The bars also go into your ribs when trying to turn sharp. This could also be a safety concern because you are unable to back up very good. I am a small person and only weigh 135 pounds so my weight is not the issue. It just so happens that Bad Boy makes adjustable bars to resolve this bad design issue but you need to purchase for an additional *** dollars. I should be able to use my mower safely without having to purchase these to do so. I have made numerous attempts to contact the Bad Boy company via their website. I have also called. FINALLY received an email saying they would do 25% off the adjustable bars. This was the only email and can not get a reply to my other emails. VERY frustrating and they do not have very good customer service at all. This may have changed my mind if I would have known in advance. If they can't make the steering bars properly I feel the adjustable ones should be standard on all models. I did mention to them I would be contacting the ComplaintsBoard.com if I did not hear back from them and got no reply. I really did not want to take this route.

Using "part out of stock" on web site as scam to call with high pressure to get some kind of "gift card" On March 10, I went online to the Bad Boy parts department to order three parts for my MZ Magnum 54" zero turn mower. The first two, deck idler spring (XXX-XXXX-XX) and pump belt (XXX-XXXX-XX) were easily ordered, but when ordering the third part an all thread pump idler tensioner (XXX-XXXX-XX) a note popped up stating the part was out of stock and to call a number. I spoke to a man with a heavy accent (believe Indian) who was hard to understand especially with my military related hearing loss. He started talking about a special offer, promotion, or something of the sort. Unfortunately, I have the habit of saying OK when I don't hear something clearly and he entered into a high-pressure and, possibly deceptive, pitch for a gift card. He repeatedly stated "there's no cost to you," "won't cost anything," etc. Was then put on a mechanical line that collected my credit card info and went on to ask my birthday for which I asked why. The individual came back on line and I finally understood him to say "for verification purposes." The process was frustrating and suspicious, so I told him to cancel the order and hung up. Shortly thereafter the man called back with a confirmation number (XXXXXXXXXX) and said something about the gift card, to which I replied "OK," which probably inadvertently gave approval for whatever the hard sell was about. I only want the all thread pump idler tensioner (XXX-XXXX-XX) and nothing else. I do not want my information collected from this call to be used for any promotion, card, mailing list, distribution, sharing with other parties, or any other purpose other than sending the ordered part. The notice to call as the part was out of stock was an apparent scam as I went online this morning to the Bad Boy online parts site, entered the tensioner part and received an immediate fill in the shopping cart for *** Therefore, the part is not out of stock. I did not complete this transaction as I was just checking on actual availability. If this card is actually sent to me, I want it to be immediately cancelled. There should be absolutely no cost for getting this unwanted card, no cost for cancelling this unwanted card, no triggering of promotional mailings from anyone as a result of getting this card, no sharing of my information, basically, it is to be noted as having never happened. This deceptive practice is demeaning and Tractor Supply should partner with a different company for mowers.
