Travelopod Travel booking with Travelopod

I had worst experience booking tickets with Travelopod. I suddenly had to change my flight dates which was told to be done without penalty however, they said I had misinformation that penalty is by the airline. I understood, the airline requirements but within minutes by the other member of the team, the price was hiked and he told that other member was providing you the wrong ticket. It was very difficult to trust them in the process. They will try to make as much money out of you. They have booked the worst flight tickets and said that I will not have to change the checked bags but that was not true. In the process had to miss my flight as the layover provided was 55minutes. Overall, it better to book your own flights rather than using Travelopod. Worst service providers ever.

Travelopod Airline Tickets to Greece.

Purchased 5 Airline Tickets from Detroit Michigan to Athens Greece. Total Amt Paid $4995.00. (Booking Confirmation # WF3YZH) Prior to our scheduled departure date, 20 July, 2020, our Flight was cancelled due to Covid 19. Just to keep everything on the correct page, the Airlines cancelled our flight, not me or us, referring to the 5 passengers scheduled. (Recieved a email from Care Travelopod on April 17, 2020 stating with reference to our conversation, this is to inform you that we have received a request from your end to cancel the booking for the 5 Passengers scheduled on 20 Jul 2020 with American Airlines. This is incorrect. I informed them that American Airlines cancelled our flight not us.) Travelopod should have known that already.) Contacted Travelopod to see what was happening and to check on our recourse. I asked about a refund and Travelopod stated that was not an option. Option was to take a Voucher for future flight, but was informed it would cost each of the five passenger $50.00, total $250.00. Recieved Voucher Number from Travelopod. (Voucher Reference # 197677. (The Beginning of 2021 I contacted Travelopod, Greece was still closed due to Covid 19, could not travel. (I informed Travelopod that in the group of passengers scheduled to go were teachers and we had to Travel in summer months basically July/August, as they could not take 2 weeks off work during the school year. That is why we scheduled our Travel in July 2020.) I again contacted Travelopod at the beginning of 2022 to discuss Voucher, and that Greece was still closed to visitors from the USA due to Covid. Also asked about changing from Greece to Hawaii. Travelopod stated that one was International the other Domestic. Asked again about Refund, Traavelopod stated that may be possible, but it would cost us around $250.00 each. I declined. It shouldn't cost us anything, I informed Travelopod on Department of Transportation Ruling and was told that maybe they could change from Greece to Hawaii. Scheduled Passengers didn't ant to go to Hawaii. I contacted Travelopod in the begining of 2023 to discuss scheduling our Flight to Greece, Greece opened up to Travel by USA on October 4th 2022. Travelopod informed me that our Voucher expired in March of 2022. I of course have been trying to get this corrected since. Have talked to Travelopod numerous times. 1st - How can you cancel a Voucher for a Flight the Airlines Cancelled. 2nd - I couldn't have traveled prior as Greece was still closed in March 2022. 3rd - I can't believe it would be Legal for an Airline (American Airlines) or Travelopod, or anyone to not give us our money back. They are allowed to steal our money. Travelopod at least should have ensured the Voucher never expired. Still waiting to talk to Travelopod again. Contacted American Airlines and gave them Flight Numbers that we received from Travelopod and American Airlines stated they were not their booking numbers. Now I am not sure what is going on. I have been investigating a little on my own, and the Department of Transportation states that I should have received a Total Refund immediately as it was due to the Covid outbreak. I still can't believe that our Government or the Laws in this Country would allow anyone to rip off customers and keep their money. Refund our Money and we will work on rescheduling in the near future. I will be contacting Department of Transportation for assistance. Also American Airlines. Who? has our Money, Travelopod or American Airlines.

Desired outcome: Total Refund of Monies Paid including, $250.00 Travelopod charged us to get a Voucher.

Travelopod International ticket issue

I booked my flight through them in March for my travel date Aug. Boston to Kolkata.Some reason Air Canada canceled all their flights. We never got notified. When we called Air Canada they said it’s the agent’s responsibility. So we call Travelopod. Problem start from there.

1. We called to rebook our tickets. They tried and couldn’t gave us a complete ticket.

We are getting emails tickets booked and canceled.

2. Whenever we are calling them they said they are trying and put us on hold for more than n hour and disconnect our calls.

3. When we are asking for refund- their answer is please let us try one more time. Give us 24 hours.( which is going on for couple of weeks now)

We are so done with your horrible service. We planned our travel n booked our tickets so early. Now we are facing this because of your unethical actions.

I have one last question for travelopod : when can I get my full money back? Or you want us to lodge a cheating case on you guys?

Travelopod Worst and fraud service

I had booked flight from Hyderabad to USA with travelopod and had worst experience. I will never ever book with them again and will not recommend it to anyone. Such a horrible customer service they have provided. Whenever I call them, they say that they will call me back but I never got any call from them. They are not ready to solve an issue or provide customer satisfaction service. They just say that best price guaranteed but that’s not true.

I booked ticket from Hyderabad to Detroit for my parents in February and ticket costed $2100 per person. Due to covid, they couldn’t travel so I had to change dates to June. They charged me $300 extra on each ticket again. I went and checked ticket prices online and nowhere I see tickets with $2400 and airlines is Air India. I called them back to question about the price and they say that they cannot book a ticket with cheaper price even though the ticket is cheap online. They say that since my booking class was high, they will book ticket only with higher prize. What is this logic? I have been traveling internationally from past 10 years and never heard of such stupid policy. They haven’t mentioned about this in their website either. I spoke to another agent for a new ticket in June and they said it costs is between $1100 to $1300. When I ask them to adjust the ticket for me they say they cannot do it. I have paid $1000 extra on each ticket. These people are just looting money and it’s a scam. They do not show us proof for the price that they charge on each ticket. Total fraud and I suggest not to book tickets with them. I would rate 0.

Desired outcome: Price should be adjusted according to the actual ticket price and refund should be provided for any price difference.

Travelopod Refund not given as promised

I bought a ticket in 2019 for March of 2020 and covid shut everything down. I also paid a fee to keep that ticked valid. Last year December 3, 2021 I ended up buying a brand new ticket and they promised to refund me $450 which was half the money for that ticket, and that's fine.

They told me that I had to pay a one time amount for $641 after they charged me an additional $1950 which was supposed to be my whole payment for the trip, and they would refund me, and I used a new card for that and the total of $1091 was supposed to be refunded to me on the new card I used, because the old card has been closed.

No refund came and they told me that the refund was sent on the original card and I called the bank multiple times and they always gave me the same answer, which was, the card is closed and there was no way they could've sent that refund to that card.

I have also called Travelopod multiple times and they were always rude and even hung up on me once. I have also asked them to send me a check for the refund and they refused that as well. At this point, I would just like my refund because the card they sent it on doesn't exist anymore, so how could they have refunded me? This company is clearly stealing from people and I never read the reviews on them before this happened and they clearly do this to a lot of people by what I have read.

Can you help me?

Now we really want this travel to happen this October from 21-29 and this AGENCY TRAVELOPOD they ask for more money almost the triple of the price for an amount of $1, 200 and then after 2 days they ask for $1, 800. I decide to contact the airline and Aircanada said they can just see our names on their system but not the money we have spent for the tickets, so Air Canada said we needed a Voucher from TRAVELOPOD. So I called travelopod to ask for a voucher and they hesitated for a while and finally gave it to us, but it doesn't work. Then we contacted the travel agency again and they want at least $848 if we want to do our trip this October. They promise to call us and they never do that… we've been in this situation since last year and is really stressful because they just don't want gave us our money back or our refund. We've been trying to come to an agreement but we haven't been able to… we already reported to BBB but we haven't received any answers back. Just they want more and more money. NEG44F!

Travelopod Tickets and rebooking

Description of Problem/Inquiry/Comment:
Hi, I booked my tickets (4) from tampa- hyderabad for 30/05/2021, however since there is a travel advisory of 4 to India, I couldnt fly, when I talked to customer agent about the options I have, Travelopod agent Victor mentioned that making open tickets will be better option. I agreed with that and payed $200 making them open tickets, then when I called them to use my open tickets, they forced to book tickets with higher prices than market prices which is $200 per ticket, asked about the difference, customer care agents and the supervisor doesnt have any answers. They not only hidden details like making open ticket and rebooking them will cost more to me, also they falses said that making open tickets is good for me. on a total they are made me pay $1200 per tickets more, without letting me giving me the full details. Kindly request you to look in to this situation and take action against this company, I later searched Travel o pod and complaints and found they are in to this kind of cheating with lot of customers.

I purchased tickets from what I thought was American Airlines for a Thanksgiving family vacation to Disney World only to find that Airlinesticketfare.com was the company I paid for the tickets. I received the booking information and was told the confirmation would follow in a separate e-mail, but the confirmation never came. When we arrived at the American Airlines ticket counter, they could find nothing and all attempts to contact the company failed. I had to purchase more tickets to ensure my family got to Disney World for our holiday, I have been offered two different settlements (almost 1/2 of the original ticket price and then almost 70% of the ticket price. This company is misrepresenting, and scamming people of a lot of money.

Travelopod Airline ticket

I purchase a ticket to go to brasil on may 25th then then a travel ban was put in place for international travel i call travelopod to cancel my ticket told them about the ban that i am america and i can not go brasil lol they told me that plane was still going so we can not cancel your ticket and give your money back this B.S. i will never use travelopod and strongly recommend that no one else does

Travelopod reschedule of my reservation.

I placed a reservation a few days ago. When I called to confirm my reservation, my reservation could not be found by and one of the agencies. When I finally found someone who I thought could assist me, that one had no idea, he too could not help, so I had to purchase a different ticket from an agency other than Travelopod. It is a mess. I hope others will be aware of their trickery (trickeries) to stop dealing with them. They are not real... Be aware. Some persons may be lucky with them sometimes, but the bottom line is, they are not real and they are not good.

Travelopod flight tickets

I had two tickets reserved for Nov 18th 2019. However, due to medical emergency passengers needs to travel asap. I have been contacting travelopod concern department to make changes of date. Every different agent is giving different dates within a week time period without providing any conformation. Now They want us to travel on Oct 10th 2019, it is Oct 9th in India. How can they travel internationally within 24 hours without having confirmed tickets. Every single agent telling us different story, basically all of them are lying. Every time I call them, they are giving me two hours of time for conformation since 5 days. You need to hire professional people. It's seems like business is operating from house. I need to resolve this issue asap on top priority.

Travelopod ripoff

I have been dealing with the company since July 4th regarding a ticket that I purchased for my son to come visit after two years of not seeing him. My son was not able to travel because he did not have the proper document which is a visa waiver. After being at the airport for a few hours trying to resolve the issue, he missed the flight. I contacted the travel agent immediately to inform them. This form usually takes 2 days to get and I wanted to see if I could change the reservation for another day with the understanding that I would simply pay an extra fee for the change. Travelopod refused to assist me. Instead they cancelled the entire trip. I am completely okay with them not honoring the 1st flight, however the remaining ticket should be valid. On July 8, 19 Hazel emailed me stating within 24 hours my concern would be resolve to my satisfaction. On July 10th I emailed her since I did not hear from them she directed to Resolution Desk. So I forward her email to Resolution Desk. To date no resolution.

Travelopod flight ticket

I asked the agent to advance the ticket. Even after 4 days of request there is no resolution. I won't use travelopod again. All agents whom I worked with are irresponsible- Sonia, Braine, Aven, entire team has the same level of responsiveness . Looks like the supervisor needs training in teaching the team on being responsible. After waiting for 4 days there is no response! Extremely disappointed! When I wanted to escalate to next level, supervisor is busy. There was no commitment to call back when supervisor is available.

Travelopod tickets booked

Like many reviewers I have same opinion of them ...Bunch of thugs with no dignity left in their souls ...they shamelessly lie and quote airline policy for siphoning off with your money ...I had this date change and they quoted hefty, almost double than what was on Delta airlines website, as fare difference applicable...had no choice as they had money from previous booking with them and they left all dignity in trying loot as much money in name of date change penalty ...other caution...if you go through these thug agents airlines wont be able to help as they don't have ability, rights to modify, change tickets issued by these cheating agents who will quote some fake airlines policy to make more money...one review mentioned they said airlines charge for per alphabet change in Traveller name some money as penalty... really? ...is humanity n ethics alive ...at least it not in Travelopod and it's agents (read scamsters) Sandra, Lenor ( pseudo names ) who lied blatantly with no regrets...shame on you ...

Travelopod cancellation and refund request - not resolved

Good afternoon,

I have booked 4 tickets to India for me and my family PNR No. MIEWRG on October 3, 2018 by paying total of $5536/-. However on November 5th I have requested travelopod to cancel three tickets as they are awaiting for approval documents from USCIS which was applied 6 months prior to booking tickets. The situation has been explained in the email I have sent to travelopod on Nov 5. Customer associate Ms.Sonia Charles called me next day and asked the details and informed me that she will try for refund as an exception case and asked me to submitt the proof of documentation that is pending with USCIS. I have forwarded all the receipt notices, passports to prove the relationship status. She said will check with airlines and get back to me. She called me back after three days and said airlines has denied. However, I have checked with Airlines who have informed me that if the tickets are booked through them directly, they would process for refund. Since I have booked through travel agent, the tickets are under their control and I should request the travel agent.
Travelopod associate had given me a false information stating that airlines has denied.
Travelopod agent Ms.Sonia Charles says that they can waive date change charges of $375 for each ticket and keep the ticket open for 1 year If I pay extra $150 for each ticket. I have informed her that I am not in a position to pay extra and rather I will wait. She gave me time until Nov 30th and said she will call me back to check on that. I have not received any call on Nov 30th, 2018. Therefore I am reaching out to you to request you to please look into this matter and refund the amount for 3 tickets as my family members would not be able to travel and I have given permission to travel agent to sell the seats I have booked so that they have the business as well.
I am attaching the email conversation of my cancellation request and also the email which states that I have forwarded the proof of documentation.
Please note that the ticket money I have paid is my hard earned money and foregoing around $4000 dollars is not an easy thing.
Please help me in this regard.

This is in regards to PNR : MIEWRG, I would like to inform you that my family members are waiting for visa document from USCIS which was applied 8 months ago. Due to ongoing delayed processing times from USCIS, my advocate had advised my family members to wait until the document is received to help us travel.

Keeping in view this situation (we do not know the accurate times to receive documents at this point of time), I would like to cancel the 3 tickets which I have booked for my family. I will be the only one who will be travelling on the dates I have booked. Request you to please consider the possibility of refund as I am informing more than one month in advance. Your consideration in this time is highly appreciated.

Travelopod worker exploitation

I applied to a paid internship with Travelopod. They sent me a writing exercise that was related to the content on their site, and I spent about 4 hours perfecting my exercise. After sending it, I received a follow-up with a request to do another exercise and meet with the CEO on a Google Hangouts call. I said I was excited about the assignment, via email, and asked if it was possible to know how many exercises there were going to be. I asked nicely, and obviously had a right to know more details about the application process. This is especially true because some of these companies advertising freelance/remote positions just exploit job searchers by tricking them into writing for free. I haven't heard back from them since. They also asked me to pick time slots for the hangouts call, which I did. I made myself available for a stretch of a few hours on two separate days. No response, no hangouts call. THIS IS A SCAM. I don't know if they're scamming customers as well as job searchers, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'd stay away from this company all together. What a waste of time!

Travelopod refused to return money and charged cancellation charges $105 by giving fake commitment

Travelopod refused to return reservation money on PNR TTKZVP, booking # 2095451 They had charged cancellation charges $105 by giving fake commitment as these were Airlines cancellation charges not their charges. However later I come to know that these were under void window and can be cancelled free of charge. I have cancelled the booking instantly and email them before they book ticket. still they have charged my card for whole fare. After discussion with them they have refunded money after deduction of $105 as Airline cancellation charges. After exchange of many emails with them, they haven't given me any conclusion neither they returned my hard earned money.

Travelopod confirmation sent but flight not booked

To Whom It May Concern:
On May 24, 2018, I booked a July 6 to July 13 round-trip flight from San Francisco SFO to Milan MXP with Travelopod for $836.91. I received an email that same day with a confirmation number (#62692) and a message that I may be contacted for credit card verification. The message said that I would receive my e-tickets after verification. I never received a call from Travelopod, and didn't think anything about it. I book travel online very frequently, although this was my first time using Travelopod, and have never had anyone call me about my credit card, so it didn't seem strange to me at all not to receive a call. I am a high school teacher, and was finishing up my school year, so it was an extremely hectic time, and I didn't check my email for my e-tickets until the day before my trip, when I went on the airline's website to check into my flight and reserve my seat. I realized that I had the booking number from Travelopod, but not the one for the airline, so I called Travelopod and was told by Allen that my card had been declined and that they had tried to contact me but I didn't answer, and that, consequently, my flight had not been booked. Obviously, I was very upset, because I was supposed to leave the next evening at 7:10 p.m. and suddenly did not have a flight. After a very long time on the phone, Allen found me a flight the next day at around 10:00 a.m. - 9 hours earlier than the flight I had booked! This was a huge inconvenience, as I work, and had planned to use the morning and afternoon of the next day to get ready for my trip. I knew I was going to have to stay up all night getting ready, as well as change the pick-up time on my rental car and notify my pet-sitter that he would have to come earlier. I also was not thrilled about driving all the way from Milan to Bern, Switzerland after a long flight and no sleep the night before. I told Allen this and asked if they would give me a discount, but his response was, "Ma'am, I am already giving you a $1200 flight for less than $900. I can't do any more." I was in such a rush that I did not argue. We confirmed the new flight, I gave him the credit card details, and I rushed out to do the errands I had been planning to do the next day. While I was driving, I received another 5 phone calls 3 different people at Travelopod, asking me for the same credit card details. Needless to say, I was extremely irritated. I checked my phone records, and I had never received any call from Travelopod after my original booking, and I called my credit card company, which confirmed that no transactions had been declined. The fact that Travelopod made a mistake with my booking was bad enough, but lying about it made it so much worse. Before booking, I did read reviews about Travelopod, as I was unfamiliar with the company. After the service (or lack thereof) that I received, I am surprised that there weren't a host of negative reviews, as I am sure I can't be the only customer who was treated this way. The right thing to do would have been to admit fault and offer me a significant discount for the major inconvenience I experienced, instead of putting the blame on me. Didn't they think I would verify whether or not I had been called and whether or not my card had been declined? This behavior was not only unethical, but also not very smart business-wise. It doesn't pay to treat customers like that - Travelopod just lost me as a customer.

I received a call from Roger at Travelopod (855-340-6333). They offered me a $25 compensation for the inconvenience caused. I accepted - what I was looking for was an acknowledgment of their mistake, which I received, so the compensation was sufficient. Problem solved.

Travelopod over charge a one way ticket

I alway use travelopod for my trip like 4 year and my mom was going in 9th july I used this same site travelopod to book this ticket but this time me father was very sick in india so I have to book a ticket as an emergency in 27 may so just ask them that can you change the dates or can you refund that old ticket but they didn't refund me that ticket and they told me that you have to book a new ticket so just I check the price on all the website it shows less then 1000$ on 27th may from lax to amd india but when I call travelopod then they told me for tomorrow flight it's very expensive they told me 1600$ for a one way ticket in economic class from lax to amd india but the ticket was around 918$ but that agent from travelopod he lie to me that there is only one set left if you didn't book this ticket then there is no bettere option like this in this fair so travelopod charge me over almost 700$ so then I book a ticket then I check my bank statements they took 1650$ that was emirates airline and they told me it's only 1600$ but they charge 1650$ even the flight was not full there are more then 35 sets are empty so that guy from travelopod he lie to me that there is only one set available if i'm wrong then you can check your [censored] call recording
