Travelodge Complaint 4281190

I called regarding a complaint at Quesnel bc location. i was told I would get a follow up all. The only call I-got was from the hotel I complained about to call me a liar. Needless to say not happy with your complaint process. I called & left a message couple days ago. Of course no call back. I would appreciate some professional courtesy to start.

Travelodge poor cleanliness and management was not helpful and false advertisement okay

On August 8 2019 we check in at the motel and we and came out to the room and we noticed that the room was unclean their hair in the bathroom. Floors were dirty that air conditioning machine with filthy and the walls with dirty two pillow cases with stained the blankets were gross dirt on the floor and and the NB wifi did not work in the hotel in our room and the management was falsely accusing us noise complaints when we would not even have to be in the hotel at that time the management we're also refusing to take our credit card as payment and commanding for cash and not take Visa but I think it b******* and management threatening to kick us out of the hotel if we did not pay them in cash

Travelodge cleanliness

We arrived at the travel lodge and booked in. The corridor on the way to the room smelt musty. As we entered the room it didn't look as clean as we would have liked so I checked the bedding to find stains on the sheets! I went down to reception and they sent someone up to change the sheets for us as we got our things out of the car. The woman who changed the sheets did not seem happy at all and was slamming things down etc. . As we went to sit down on the chairs I noticed something on the floor. It was a false nail! As I bent down to see what it was I could see rubbish under the bed that had been left! There is no way we could have stayed as the room just wasn't clean. They have said we will receive a full refund within 24 hours. We stay in travel lodges all the time back in the UK and never had a problem so I am disappointed and will think twice about staying in one again.

Travelodge travelodge refused to refund for disgusting property!

I reserved 2 nights at TrAvelodge Calgary South for July 26-28 2019. It was my daughter's wedding and I didn't need anything fancy, just clean and comfortable! I checked in, paid, and was disgusted on my way to my room and once I saw my room! The hallway stunk like old beer soaked carpet and my room had an old musty smell! The furniture was beat up and the bathroom was tiny and gross! The flooring throughout had laminate which felt dusty and overall the room felt cold - not in temperature, but atmosphere! The window did not have a screen either. The area is questionable as well!

I was disgusted with the building and my room so I immediately left the room and called Expedia because that's who I booked through. Expedia tried to advocate for me but TrAvelodge REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY! They finally agreed to cancel the second night but refused to refund my first night! At this point, I do not see the reversal of credit card charges or $100 deposit. I had to find a different hotel and I did! I stayed at the Sandman and only paid $8 more than TrAvelodge and the hotel was beautiful, clean, quiet and had great amenities including gym and indoor pool and hot tub!
TrAvelodge should have been refunding ALL of my money! It's not like I did not show up, I showed up, checked in and paid. I had full intentions of honouring my reservation but the TRAVELODGE WAS NOT ONLY TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING, but disgusting! Also - a man was peeing against the fence when I was in my car, on the phone with Expedia!
REFUND ALL OF NY MONEY TRAVELODGE! I will NEVER stay at any TrAvelodge adding!

Travelodge sheets had chemicals that gave me an allergic reaction.

The sheets and pillow cases were treated with some kind of chemicals. I had to get epinephrine shot. My face, side stomach broke out in such severe hives. I had to be put on steroids. My boss sent me home. They kept my receipt and paperwork at the desk for the $25 room card deposit. When I got home my body had already reacted and was itchy. I bought benedryl as an antihistamine but after 2 days I needed medical attention. Room 101

Travelodge hotel facilities

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Hotel

The issue that I have experienced was: Myself and 2 children stayed in a room at the Gatwick Central on June 10th, 2019. After a 12 hour journey from Canada and on checking in I asked the receptionist where the nearest transport was so that myself and my children could go out if we wanted. The receptionist looked at me quizzically and stated "you are staying in the Gatwick airport - there is nothing much to do here" - which was unhelpful and unfriendly and not what was needed after 12 hours of travelling.
My family went to the room and thought we had been misdirected. ONe bed with two small camp beds was fine, but the room was small and unclean. Listed here are the issues:
1. Lights in bathroom were dim
2. Floors in bathroom - dirty with hairs evident in corners
3. Shampoo/shower gel was poor quality - it did not lather enough to wash hair with
4. TV - so small that the person in the far camp bed could not see comfortably
5. Clumps of hair in different places in room - my son had some attached to his shoe and on his clothing the next day
6. Bath mat was filthy and old - uninviting to shower

We went to dinner in the restaurant - the prices were high and not reflected in quality of food. I was overcharged and had to return to the busy bar to get back money . When food came, the burgers were minimally cooked and pretty sub standard. Bar staff were pleasant but too busy and under pressure.

I live in Canada and if I converted the price for a room into Canadian dollars, I would have received a friendly introduction and a higher quality room.

It occurred on: 10/06/2019

This meant that I feel disgruntled and upset to have paid for such a sub standard room. My son was distraught to find clumps of hair on him the next day. We all felt dirty when we left this hotel. I expected high service and was embarrassed as a UK citizen to observe such a slip in standards.

I would like a refund for for this awful experience.

Travelodge owner/manager kenny kalabhal, condition of room

The room was filthy. I was exhausted from a long day of driving and trusted the name Travel Lodge. I carried my bags in and discovered the filth after dinner. Too tired to carry my stuff out. I did complain to Kalabhal. He said it was my problem and could do nothing. I am including pictures from the bathroom.
I wore shoes when I stood or walked on floor. I brought in Lysol wipes and wiped down everything I could.

Travelodge stay

We booked a one night on June 29th to get away for the night as we live up near 100 mile house. When we got there at 4:00pm the room was not ready for us and the place was disgusting. We were told to come back in an hour. When we returned there was alot of people complaining. We were also told the hot tub and pool were down. My husband and I were very upset as we were looking forward to the hot tub and was not told when we booked it. This was booked through Royal Bank Visa points. Please find attached photos of the disgusting mess. Took one at night and in the morning (things did not change) I do hope to you will offer us either a refund or compliment stay at another travelodge. I cannot attached the invoice. Please reply by email so I can send you the bill.

Travelodge hotel rooms

Checked into travel lodge in Edmonton. Went to the room and was disgusted by the shape of room dirty, lamp shades stained and disgusting, screen on window broke and mild around window. Furniture looked like it was from side of road, chipped and old. Bed was lumpy and sheets didn't even fit . We stayed for half hour and went to look for another hotel. Came back took suitcases and checked out . Still had to pay for the night would like to be reimbursed for the room. I should of taken pictures but didn't want to stay any longer than I had to.

Travelodge my room/stay

I am staying at the travel lodge in Brooks Alberta, 1240 Cassils road east it's june 11, 2019 I stayed in room 123.
I chose this motel for its proximity to the highway and because it's a motel and you can park outside the room. Unfortunately my outside door didn't work at all, it was explained that it was the weather? It 27 and sunny. That's too bad as my dog is very timid and I try not to walk through hotel lobby's with her as she is very afraid and is a big dog. Secondly my room is at least 5 degrees warmer than outside the AC unit is only a fan and is totally useless as far as cooling the room down. I called to complain but the young lady at the front desk laughed under her breath and said thank you for your call? No offer to help no offer of anything, when I checked in she had a little attitude as well with being snarky and a little short with her answers, essentially she wanted me anywhere but in front of her even know I wasn't asking any questions besides asking her to repeat her self as she was talking like she was auctioning off a used car. I'm a pilot and stay in a lot of hotels be it they are usually not motels on the road side I still expect some level of service, this is my 5th night in a motel along the highway and by far the worst from cleanliness to just attitude from the front desk staff to an extremely uncomfortable room for myself and my dog, I am sweating as I write this review...will I stay here again No will I recommend No I will be looking for anything but travellodge from now on, I understand Wyndham does have some nice properties but unfortunately this is not one of them.

Further update to the above comments. I somehow didn’t notice right away but my washroom had not been cleaned at all. 1 dirty soap bar by sink 1 used soap bar in shower and a used face towel slung over the shower head. As well when I turned the sink on it poured water out of the pipes under the sink enough to partially flood the entire bathroom floor. Again front desk staff did not care.

Travelodge filthy rooms, unauthorized, fraudulent credit card charge

On May 11, 2019 I booked a room at the Travelodge at 201 West Glenwood Ave, Turlock, California 95380. I was given the key to a room that was dirty, noisy, and there was vomit on the sidewalk before the door. I went back and asked for another room. The attendant gave me a key to an upstairs room that had a big hole in the wall where the TV presumably had once been, lights that didn't work, and it was not adequately cleaned - the room smelled filthy. Although the sheets looked like they had been laundered, the pillows had stained covers on them with hair which clearly indicated they had not been washed.

I could not stay in such a disgusting room, and asked for my money to be refunded. The clerk said he was refunding the money to my credit card and I left. I then went further down the road and took a room that night in a Motel 6.

I found that the Travelodge attendant had, in fact, refunded the room to my credit card and then gone ahead and re-charged it, which was a fraudulent charge. I disputed it with my credit card company, demonstrating that I had taken a Motel 6 room within an hour of the previous Travelodge charge, and then cancelled the card, concerned that the people at the Travelodge might try to further compromise it.

When I returned in the morning to speak to the unhelpful people at the Travelodge, they just kept repeating "must speak to manager", although they were unable to give me any indication as to when or where that manager might be.

It is my intention to also contact the health department at Turlock, as that hotel, which charges some 60.00 + a night, is filthy.

Travelodge customer service

I call before to make sure there were no hidden fees. My husband was sick so we had to stay in town, May 30 to 31st . At check i had all his documents to check in, I had to go back and forth to get his signature and approvals, it took almost an hour to check in, finally in the room we thought we going to have rest, the bed was hard and lumpy, waking up with back ache, he has ptsd, and we have esa dog, at 6:30am we were walking him out to do his need, as soon we were in the way back we were arrassed by the front desk, asking for what room we were and she wanted to see the docs of our dog, they have a sign say breakfast 6 to 9. We left at 6:45 am and no breakfast open . During the night a lot of noise from people selling drugs and prostitution, can front desk doesn't see the difference from those people and hard working ones, now my husband had to go to work restless and ptsd altered, from the arrasment this morning.

Travelodge penang

Hi, Mr Gan Chin Meng here, my check in date on 10 May 2019 until 13 May 2019, I just check in to the room, I book the room for superior queen but give me superior twin, it's fine. But now, hotel management mention that from 12am till 5am whole hotel will stop for using water, I ask for the management if I back late I need to shower, how to shower. At least hotel need to provide a room for guest who need to shower. I really feel disappointed with your hotel group, I will going to publish to social website due to your hotel staff really don't know how to manage this problem. And please check your hotel bath towel, look at the towel, old and broken. My boooing number [protected].

Travelodge room was leaking from the ceiling and I had to move myself, I am disabled. no refund for the night of no sleep!!!

I checked in on March 4 for a 6 night stay. I stayed here last year for Expo West and I like the property, the staff and how close it is to the Anaheim Convention Center. This is a Business Trip and not a vacation. I checked into Room 117 mid afternoon, spent hours unpacking and setting up my room and food for the week. I am disabled and have food sensitivities and have to bring my own food wherever I go.
I went to sleep 11:30 pm for an early morning education day at Expo West. At 1 AM I heard a constant drip drip drip coming through the earplugs I had in to sleep. I went into the bathroom and the whole bathroom was soaked with water coming from the ceiling!
I called the front desk, notified them, they said I would probably have to move rooms. I started packing everything up, it took me hours to organize all of my things. 20 minutes later I had not heard anything back from the front desk. I called and they said a pipe had burst upstairs and the other people didn't know and had to be moved.
The lady at the front desk said I could move into Room 138 across the parking lot. I asked if someone could help me, as I am disabled, have to go to an education day and then I am working the rest of the week at Expo West. She told me she was the only one on duty and I would have to move everything by myself!
I moved everything by myself from 1:30 am to 4:30 am, got up at 7:45 am to call the Manager, Claudia to ask them to move the refrigerator from 117 to 138 as I had it stocked with my food, many in glass containers. She said that she wouldn't have any staff to move it until 8:30 am. I had to be at the Convention Center at 9 am. I asked her to credit me a free night, as this was terribly inconvenient and I am disabled, and now I had only had about 3 hours of sleep!
Claudia was not very compassionate, treated me on the phone as though the whole situation was my fault! She only wanted to give me 30% off of the night, I said another hotel would have given me a free night and someone to help me move rooms, as I am disabled and I am there to work, not on a vacation. She didn't care one bit. I said I should at least get 50% off the night, she settled on 40%.
When I checked out, the bill reflects 40% off one night on the paper bill. It has never been credited to my credit card to this day!
I have already made reservations and a Best Western that I have stayed at for next year's Expo West.
I will never stay at this hotel ever again, and probably consider other hotel properties other than Travelodge/Wyndham if I can in any other places that I travel too.
BTW last year the jacuzzi was broken, this year the jets were not working, I choose properties that have a jacuzzi. I also notified the front desk of a constant drip in the bathtub. That wastes water and is costing the property.

I really think Travelodge/Wyndham should refund me a full night from that stay, as it was terribly inconvenient and I was tired working the whole week and felt awful from losing the whole night of sleep and having to move everything myself, when I am disabled.

Travelodge broken plumbing

The Room:
The toilet in my room didn't flush from the very first use, I had to fill up the Recycling bin with water and dump it in to flush even toilet paper. Within half an hour of checking in (4pm) I walked down and notified the desk and they said they'd be on it right away. After four hours of waiting I called. This time they said someone would be up within ten minutes. After 30 they called again and said they were too busy to deal with it, give them another fifteen. Another hour and I get told that again. By 11pm I phone and say I'm done waiting and am just going to sleep. The desk says someone could be up in just 15 minutes if I stay up. I refused. At check out the same front desk guy (who I think is the owner) said "oh sorry, you can't imagine how hard this job is" and that was it. Considering I've worked the desk at a hotel with a 4.5 star rating, I know the job. He's just bad at it.

The customer service and broken toilet made the thin walls, loud plumbing (it drowns out the tv if the room next door showers), dirty towels and extremely slow wifi just more unbearable. Never again.

The Company:
When I contacted Wyndham Hotels and Resorts with a complaint regarding this experience, they asked the basic questions regarding my booking number and such which seemed good, until it came to actual response. First, their email said Please look forward to hearing from the property management team on or before 12-28-18, which was understandable; I get giving it a week. But then the 28th came and went. No email. On the 30th I get an email in which they spell my name wrong and say that to make up for non functioning plumbing, they would like to put 3000 Wyndham points onto a Wyndham Membership so I can use it next time. Considering every time I had to use the washroom I had to leave the hotel in the rain and go to the mall across the street because there were no washrooms available to guests other than their room and the plumbing in mine was not working, I don't ever want to go back to one again. I could've had a similar experience sleeping in my car. At least then I could've parked close to the mall and not had to walk out in the pouring rain.

Travelodge Customer Service

I've been coming to this same establishment for more than 6 months now. I book a room every off day. My last couple of experience at this location hasn't been pleasant. I'm not satisfied at all as a Gold Member. I was coming because the customer service was very good. Sat. 10/27 the workers were very rude & unprofessional to me as a paying customer

Travelodge hotel room

I stayed at the travelodge by wynham college park in atlanta ga october 2-3. This was the most disgusting place I have ever been in by far. Upon arriving the toilet still had unflushed pee left in toilet.. Roaches everywhere..ac broke would not refund or switch rooms.. Hole in bathtub and bugs in bottom.. Bugs squished on tv guide.. Bed bugs! Prostitutes outside building... Banging on doors all night and screaming... The floor was so sticky I wouldn't take my shoes off... I would have left but couldnt afford to pay for 2 seperate hotels when they wouldnt refund money... Nobody should have to stay in filth like your hotel ever... I know why yall dont offer refunds because you would go out of business cause every customer would see the room and leave with refund instead yall offer horrible conditions and rip customers off... We travel a lot and will never stay in one of your hotels again!

Travelodge service

I'm am very disappointed my last 5 stays with them there has been no towels and or pillows one of these days the room smell super bad. I call them and they would just say eiil bring you the towels and never did. There is also descrimination about appearance of the customers. Cuz they have nice rooms and bad rooms. One of the first days I was dressed nice cuz u had z job interview and they gave me as nice remodel room. Then recently I came in working Clothes I work in the fields as an days they gave me a horrible room

Travelodge cleanliness was horrible. no parking! bedbugs!!!

Had to go to emergency room because I was bitten over 11 times by BED BUGS! Place needs a disinfecting! Someone is parked in the driveway very had to get into. Was told I had a view of the water and there was not one. When I checked out I told them about the bugs but was not very interested in what I was saying ( tried to ignore me all the way around. Was not very friendly at all. I personal do not like the fact that I spent 250.00 to be eaten by bugs!

Travelodge hotel service

On Saturday, May 12, 2018 at about 8:30PM we checked into our room at Travelodge Paasadena, Ca
While checking in I asked the manger, Owen, if they had bugs. He said no. They inspect the rooms once a week. I should of checked Yelp before I booked the room.
There are several complaints of bugs.
When we entered the room there was loud noise coming from the room next door.
TV and talking. This continued on until late hours of the evening. We also saw 2 bugs. I got a picture of one of them. The other ran under the dresser. In my opinion there were probably more.
I complained to Owen. Nothing was done. We got very little sleep if any. We checked out 4:30 AM. The office was closed.
I called Owen a few days later letting him know of our dissatisfaction of our experience there. I requested a full refund. He refused.

I booked this room because www.Bookings.com gave it a descent rating of 6.9.
In my opinion this is inaccurate. I would give it maybe .5 to 1.

Please do your homework before staying at Travelodge Pasadena.
