TransferWise TransferWise's Verification Methods and Customer Service: A Nightmare Experience

Absolutely terrible! It doesn't matter if you've been with them for ages, their verification methods are a complete joke! They've had my transfer on hold for a whopping 3 days now, all because they can't seem to figure out how to read the passport in the selfie they asked for as verification. And let me tell you, if your document happens to be small or laminated, you might as well forget about ever getting verified. It's a total nightmare!

To make matters worse, my mortgage payment is in serious jeopardy because TransferWise is holding onto my hard-earned cash, which is totally against the law. I had to beg them to cancel the transfer, and guess what? They have the audacity to tell me it's going to take a whole 2 days to get my money back. Can you believe it? That's a whole week without access to my own money! Unbelievable!

I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use TransferWise. Their customer service is beyond appalling. They treat loyal customers like me as if we're potential criminals, even though they've been making a profit off of my money for years. It's absolutely outrageous! I implore you, stay far away from them!

TransferWise Transferwise: Unreliable Delays and Dishonest Practices - Stay Away!

I usually transfer a monthly amount of less than 1000 USD from my US bank to my Borderless account. This transaction used to take only seconds. But lately, there have been these weird, confusing, and painful delays. The latest delay is making me wait a whopping 6 business days to get MY money. Can you believe it? It's not even being converted; it's just going to my USD balance. And guess what? Transferwise always points fingers at the banks for these ridiculous delays. But let me tell you, they're lying through their teeth. My bank can transfer the same money in seconds using other services.

You see, Transferwise tricks people with their low fees, but then they hold onto our money and play around with it in currency futures (that's how they really make their profit). Meanwhile, us poor customers have to suffer without our OWN money. It's like they're keeping it hostage or something. And let me tell you, sometimes they don't even give it back at all. Just take a look at the other negative reviews out there. This company is as dishonest as they come. My advice? Stay far away from them.

TransferWise Terrible Experience: Transferwise Freezes Accounts and Holds Funds with No Explanation

These guys are terrible. They'll freeze your account out of the blue and keep all your money. They won't even bother to explain why. No heads up, nothing. They'll just lock you out and you'll only realize something's wrong when you can't log in. And then, they have the audacity to tell you it could take up to two whole months to get your funds back. Your hard-earned cash. Your lifeline. Your essential operational dough. They couldn't care less. Stay away from these lowlifes. Don't trust them with your money. Or your incoming payments. Or anything else for that matter. They have a long track record of suspending accounts and holding onto funds. Just do a quick search on Google for "Transferwise sucks" and you'll see what I mean. Avoid them like the plague. Instead, go for a legit payment service like WorldFirst. They shut down my account right after I sent them a whopping *** AUD. Why did they even accept my money in the first place if they were just gonna deactivate me later? It's like they're playing some twisted game of holding onto people's cash. Such a bizarre company. Their strict profile checks end up pushing away genuine customers.

TransferWise Unfair Account Termination and Money Withheld: A Frustrating Experience with [Company Name]

For some reason, they decided to terminate my account (I guess that's their call) but the thing is, they're holding onto almost $2,000 of my hard-earned money and they won't budge an inch to give it back to me.

At first, they asked me which account numbers I wanted the remaining funds to be transferred to. I provided them with the account numbers, but after that, they completely ignored me. Can you believe it?

I've sent them countless emails, asking them where my money is, but all they said was that I could appeal their decision. What decision? I guess the decision was to keep my money hostage!

Their so-called "appeal" form was a joke. It simply asked for my name and had a submit button. They claimed they would review my appeal and get back to me within 10 days. Yeah, right!

This whole process is just plain bizarre. They're clearly stalling and making me jump through hoops, just to delay things even further. It's like they're playing some twisted game with my money.

I've reached the point where I've realized that they have no intention of ever giving my money back. So, now I have no choice but to file a complaint with ACMA and take them to the small claims tribunal.

Let me tell you, this company is nothing but a complete scam. Don't trust them with your hard-earned cash, or you'll end up in the same frustrating situation as me.

TransferWise TransferWise: Attempted Scam and Data Breach - Beware of Their Unethical Practices!

I've been using TransferWise for a good few years now without any issues. However, recently I've become quite certain that they're trying to scam me out of my hard-earned money. It's really disappointing.

I made two deposits from my PayPal account, totaling around ?900! But guess what? Both transactions were cancelled by TransferWise. One of them was made six weeks ago, and the other three weeks ago. And you know what's even worse? I still haven't received my money back. Can you believe it?

I reached out to their support team, and they confirmed that my money was indeed with them. But instead of just refunding it to the original sender (PayPal), they asked me to send them my bank details first. I mean, come on! That's not how it's supposed to work. The refund should go back to where it came from, right?

But wait, it gets even more ridiculous. They then asked me to provide them with the account details of the person who initiated the previous payment to my PayPal account. Seriously? That's a major breach of data protection! And to make matters worse, it's completely irrelevant to the situation at hand.

So, I decided to give their support team another shot. This time, I made it crystal clear that I won't accept any of their standard answers. I pointed out that their request for third-party data violates data protection laws, and I even threatened to take further action if I didn't get my money back immediately. But guess what? I didn't receive any response at all. It's like they're ignoring me!

It's clear to me now that TransferWise is not only intentionally trying to defraud people of their money, but they're also attempting to obtain sensitive account data from third parties, which is a direct violation of the Data Protection Act. It's absolutely outrageous!

My advice to anyone who has money with TransferWise is to start looking for an alternative as soon as possible. Don't let them take advantage of you like they're trying to do with me.

TransferWise TransferWise Borderless Account: A Total Disaster, Deactivated Without Reason

I gotta say, I really don't recommend using this service, like, at all. So, there are a bunch of folks out there who are all about TransferWise Borderless Account, so I thought, hey, why not give it a shot? Well, let me tell you, it was a total disaster.

I went ahead and provided all the necessary documents for verification, right? I mean, I did everything they asked for. But guess what? Before I even had a chance to use the account, they went ahead and deactivated it. Can you believe that? I got these emails saying, "We've confirmed your identity - We'd love your feedback" and "We've confirmed your address - We'd love your feedback." And then, when I tried to log in, bam! "Sorry, your account is deactivated. If you believe this is a mistake, please contact customer support at appeals." Seriously, what a letdown.

So, I reached out to appeals, thinking maybe there was some kind of mix-up. But you know what they told me? They were like, "Hi, we checked out your appeal, and we've decided not to reactivate your account." Can you believe that? I mean, I didn't do anything wrong, nothing illegal or against their terms and conditions. I even emailed support, hoping they could shed some light on the situation. But nope, they had no clue why my account got deactivated. They just gave me this generic list of reasons for account deactivation, none of which applied to me. They told me to contact the Appeals department, so I did. And guess what? They hit me back with the same answer, saying the decision was final and my account was permanently deactivated. Can you believe the nerve?

And get this, I found out online that some poor souls had their accounts deactivated while they still had money in them! Can you imagine? I'm just glad that didn't happen to me. I mean, seriously, how can you trust a company that behaves like this? They're a total mess.

So, here's my advice: steer clear of these guys. There are plenty of other money transfer apps out there, you know? Don't take the risk with TransferWise. Instead, go for something like Revolut. Trust me, it's way better than dealing with these clowns.

TransferWise Wise (Transferwise) Blocked Our UK Company Account with Funds: Seeking Legal Action and Support

It's been more than 15 working days since Wise blocked our UK company account with a balance of more than ***? which we need for our business. Like all the reviews I've read, they say they need 60 working days, which is like 3 months, to do their due diligence. That's just not realistic or fair for a due diligence!

Just like everyone else, they closed our account without giving us the 2 months notice that's required by the FCA for all regulated financial institutions.

Even after sending them several emails, they keep giving us the same generic response without any explanation or request from their compliance department.

I've seen on a lot of rating websites that many other people and companies have their funds blocked by Wise (Transferwise). So, I set up contactwcase at gmail.com for people who want to take legal action together and contact the FCA in the UK and the AMF in France. We need to let them know about these shady practices and help each other put a stop to it. If you're going through the same thing, please share your experiences and let's figure out what we can do together. I'm working with a big law firm in London that specializes in this kind of litigation, and they have a really good partner who knows what they're doing. I've also heard that there are companies out there that can help recover funds in cases like this. If you've used their services before, please let us know how it went and what steps we should take.

I promise to keep updating my review with any progress in my case and the information I get.

Message to Wise:
I won't give up until we get our company's funds back.
You have all my contact details.

TransferWise TransferWise Review: Frustrating Experience with Incorrect Bank Transfers and Accusations

I've been using TransferWise for about a year now to send money to Philippine bank accounts on a monthly basis. Usually, the transfer goes smoothly and the money arrives in the account within 3 to 5 working days. However, there have been instances where the money comes back with a message stating that the recipient's data is incorrect, even though it has never been the case.

Unfortunately, my last bank transfer didn't work again. TransferWise transfers the amount to a partner bank in the Philippines, which then sends it to the recipient's bank. The partner banks in the Philippines are Tranglo-Bank, Metro-Bank, and BDO-Bank. In my profile, I specifically mentioned to only carry out transactions with BDO, as it has proven to be a reliable bank. Transfers with Tranglo bank have never worked for me.

However, this time, TransferWise used Metro Bank for the transfer, even though my profile clearly stated to only transfer via BDO. When I called their customer service, the agent proudly informed me that they had used Metro Bank for the first time. Unfortunately, after 7 days, the amount still hadn't arrived, which is incredibly frustrating as I had bills to pay in the Philippines on February 1st.

Two days ago, TransferWise sent me a reference code that the recipient was supposed to present to the bank to locate the payment. The recipient did exactly that, but the payment couldn't be found!

Today, I called TransferWise again, like I do almost every day now. I requested a receipt from the recipient's account to show that the amount (*** PHP) hasn't arrived. I had already sent the receipt by email two days ago, but I was told that it's not sufficient as a document. They claimed that anyone could create such a document on a printer. After using TransferWise for about a year, sometimes multiple times a month, it's disheartening to indirectly be accused of cheating them.

I've had enough now! I cannot, in good conscience, recommend TransferWise to anyone. Once the facts are clarified, I will delete my user account with TransferWise. Western Union and AZIMO may be slightly more expensive, but at least the money is available within minutes!

TransferWise My Nightmare Experience with Wise: A Warning to Business Owners

This is my experience with TransferWise, or as they call it now, Wise. Let me tell you, it's been quite the rollercoaster ride. I decided to give their Wise Business account a try for my start-up. You see, I already have a Bank of America account, but international wire transfers can be a real pain in the neck, not to mention expensive. So, I thought, why not give Wise a shot?

I went through their application process, which was a bit of a hassle. They kept asking for more and more information, like my IDs, business documents, and a detailed explanation of my business. I mean, come on, how many times do I have to explain myself? But I complied, because I really wanted to make this work. After jumping through all their hoops, they finally approved my application and opened a US bank account for me. They even sent me a shiny new debit card, which arrived in just three days. So far, so good.

I connected my Wise account with Stripe, and my business was up and running. For weeks, I was receiving payments from my customers and sending money internationally without any issues. Life was good. But then, something strange happened.

One day, Stripe deposited $3300 into my Wise account, which was a bit more than my usual payments of $500 to $2000 per day. I checked my Wise account, and to my surprise, the payment didn't show up. I thought, "Hmm, that's odd." I decided to give it a day or two, thinking maybe it was just a glitch. But when I woke up the next morning, I couldn't log into my Wise account. It simply said, "Your account is deactivated." Just like that, no warning, no explanation.

I was furious. They didn't even bother to contact me by phone or email. They just closed my account and let Stripe deposit more money into it. Outrageous! I immediately started the appeal process, filling out forms and sending countless emails to their support team. But guess what? I received no response, nada, zilch. All I got were automated emails promising that someone would get in touch with me within 24 hours. Well, let me tell you, those 24 hours came and went, multiple times, and still no response. It felt like they were deliberately trying to sabotage my new business.

Not only did they take my money, but they also left me hanging with no answers. It's a nightmare. I'm out $5000 for now, and Wise seems to have no intention of resolving the issue. It's a complete scam, if you ask me. I've had enough of their monkey business. I'm going back to good old Bank of America, where at least I know my money is safe.

I want to make it clear that I provided Wise with all the necessary information about my business. I gave them my website, explained what I do, and how I do it. There's nothing shady or illegal about my business (I'm in freight forwarding, by the way). Yet, they treated me like a criminal and shut me down without warning.

So, my advice to all you business owners out there: steer clear of Wise for your bank account. They'll take your money, close your account out of the blue, and you'll never hear from them again. It's a nightmare you don't want to experience.

Consider yourself warned, folks. Be careful out there.

TransferWise Review: Wise's Incompetence and Lack of Customer Care - Still Waiting for $25,000 Refund

So here's the deal: Wise is supposed to give me back some money, a pretty hefty sum of over $25,000, but guess what? They haven't done it yet, and it's been more than a month since I made the transfer.

Let me break it down for you:

- On October 27th, I transferred money from my Spanish account to an account in the USA.
- Wise received the Euros on October 28th.
- On November 3rd, they claimed to have paid out the United States Dollars (USD).
- But hold up, on that same day, November 3rd, they sent me an email saying, "Oops, there's a problem with the bank details. Change your recipient's bank details and send your money again."
- So, I did just that. I changed the recipient's details using their app and sent the transfer again. No refund, because I wasn't supposed to get one. They still had my money, so they were supposed to send it again with the correct information.
- Wise then had the audacity to send me an email on November 3rd, saying, "The USD is on its way. You should have the money in your bank account by tomorrow, November 4th."
- Fast forward to November 12th, and I receive another email from Wise, saying, "Hey, we need more info about your recent transfer because of local regulations." They wanted to know the "concept of the transfer" in the payment reference field and a detailed reason for the payment.
- I promptly replied on November 12th, providing all the requested information and even attached supporting documents.
- On November 15th, I decided to reach out to Wise, asking if they received my email. No confirmation, no response. It would have been nice to know the status of my request, you know?
- But guess what? Wise finally decides to email me back on November 15th, saying, "Sorry to break it to you, but TransferWise doesn't operate in COUNTRY-NAME. So, we had to cancel your payment and will refund you." Turns out, the reason for my transfer was to buy something in a country that Wise apparently doesn't support. Funny thing is, they never mentioned this on their website. They have a list of countries, but this one isn't on it.
- So, I sent them an email on November 15th, saying, "Alright, I get it. Please refund the money to my Spanish bank account."
- On November 18th, I sent another email, asking how long it would take for the refund to be processed.
- Feeling frustrated, I decided to use the mail form on their website on November 21st, saying, "Hey! I was told my transfer would be refunded, but it's been a while, and I still have no clue what's going on."
- Finally, on November 22nd, they replied, saying, "We've passed this issue along to the right team. We'll let you know when there's an update."
- But guess what? It's now November 30th, and I'm still waiting for my money. And get this, if I don't contact them, they won't contact me. They simply don't give a damn.

So, here's my advice: Stay away from Wise. Clearly, they're using my money for who knows what, and they couldn't care less if I need it to save someone's life.

I'm taking this matter to the next level.

TransferWise TransferWise: Frustrating Experience with Money Transfer and Lack of Communication

So, I decided to give this website called TransferWise a shot. I uploaded a copy of my passport and got verified. Then, I went ahead and set up my bank account and initiated a money transfer to an overseas bank. I answered all the security questions at my bank, feeling confident about the process. But, out of the blue, something unexpected happened – check out the photo! I was taken aback, as there was no prior warning or explanation provided. They didn't even bother to send me an email to let me know what was going on. Feeling frustrated, I decided to appeal the situation, hoping for some resolution. However, it's been a while now, and I haven't received any response yet. It's quite disappointing, to be honest.

TransferWise Terrible Customer Service and Account Blockage: Wise Fails to Provide Assistance or Updates

It's been over 19 working days and my account with Wise has been blocked. I haven't received any updates or assistance from them. They sent me an email, but it was just empty words from a robotic response. I really need my money back, but it seems like Wise doesn't care about its customers. They have no soul, no empathy. I will never use Wise again, and I strongly advise everyone to do their research before trusting this company. Don't wait until your account is deactivated and it's too late. Be cautious, people!

TransferWise TransferWise: Frustrating Glitches, Failed Transactions, and Outrageous Fees

About a year ago, I had this experience with TransferWise. I wanted to send some money to my son in Austria, and I tried multiple times. But, man, the site just kept giving me trouble. It was like a rollercoaster ride, you know? First, it told me that the money went through, and I was like, "Great, mission accomplished!" But then, out of nowhere, a day later, it hit me with the news that the transaction failed. Can you believe that? I was so frustrated!

I reached out to their support staff, hoping they could fix the issue. They were nice and all, but unfortunately, their attempts to help me were in vain. It was like banging my head against a wall, you know? Nothing seemed to work, and I just couldn't figure out what was going wrong. So, eventually, I threw in the towel and gave up. What a waste of time, seriously.

To make matters worse, I had to pay a hefty $45 wire transfer fee using my good ol' USA bank. I mean, come on! That's a lot of dough just to send some money to my own flesh and blood. It felt like they were taking advantage of me, you know? I expected a smoother and more affordable experience, but TransferWise let me down big time.

Overall, my experience with TransferWise was a major disappointment. The technical glitches and the failed transactions left me feeling frustrated and defeated. And let's not forget about that outrageous wire transfer fee! I expected better, but unfortunately, this company fell short of my expectations.

TransferWise TransferWise Review: Lack of Information and Unprofessional Response Disappoints

TransferWise is a company that thrives due to the shortcomings of the banking system. And let me tell you, sometimes they do a pretty good job. However, there are instances where things don't go as smoothly as one would hope. One such issue is the absence of accompanying information when receiving a payment. It's a real bummer, I tell ya!

Now, you might think that the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section would provide some much-needed clarity on this matter. But alas, it falls short. So, you're left with no choice but to embark on a quest to find their contact form. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack, I swear!

After finally locating the elusive contact form, you eagerly reach out to TransferWise for answers. And boy, oh boy, their response is quick, but let me tell you, it's far from professional. They simply state that they don't provide such information. Can you believe it? I certainly can't!

Needless to say, this whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I can no longer, in good conscience, recommend TransferWise to anyone. It's a real shame, considering they do have their moments of success. But hey, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. And in this case, TransferWise has lost a customer.

TransferWise Unprofessional and Unfair Treatment: My Experience with [Company Name]

It's kinda strange, ya know, that you'd expect a big-shot company like this to be all professional and stuff, but guess what? They went and did something totally unexpected. So, on the business side of things, I went ahead and signed up for an account with 'em. But guess what? They straight up declined my account! Can you believe it? So, I thought, alright, let's take this matter to the UK ombudsman and see what they have to say. Fair enough, right? Business is business after all.

But here's where things get even weirder. On the personal side, I also opened an account with these guys. And you know what they did? They went ahead and closed my personal account without even giving me a heads up! Can you believe the audacity? And the worst part is, I had some hard-earned funds in there! Like, seriously, what were they thinking?

So, of course, I had to take action. I reached out to them to address this whole mess. I mean, come on, it's only fair that they give me an explanation for their actions. I'm still waiting to hear back from them though. Let's hope they come to their senses and sort this out, 'cause it's just not right to treat customers like this.

TransferWise TransferWise: Good System, Frustrating Hold on Funds & Unhelpful Customer Service

The TransferWise system is pretty good once you manage to get your money in. However, there's a big issue with them holding onto your money for days without providing any explanation or timeline for when it will be released, even if you ask.

If you're in a hurry, I highly recommend not using TransferWise at all because they will keep your money for days. On the other hand, if you have a lot of time before you need the funds for a trip or something, then they are actually quite good.

But here's the thing, don't even bother trying to call their customer service for answers because apparently, they have no clue about the situation either. And to make matters worse, they won't even connect you with someone who might have the answers you need. It's frustrating, to say the least.

Overall, TransferWise is a decent system once your money is in, but their lack of communication and unhelpful customer service can be a major headache. So, if you're willing to deal with these issues, go ahead and give them a try. But if you value your time and want a smoother experience, it might be best to explore other options.

TransferWise Beware of TransferWise: Account Deactivation, Money Held Hostage, and Unreliable Service

TransferWise is a money transfer service that unfortunately has some issues. They have been known to deactivate accounts without any explanation, which can be quite frustrating. It's like they treat their customers as if they were criminals! On top of that, they hold onto your hard-earned money for months on end, without any clear communication about when or if you'll ever get it back.

It's important to be cautious, even if you see that TransferWise has good ratings. You see, when you first open an account and make your initial transaction, a pop-up appears asking you to rate TransferWise with a perfect score of 5. Many people, including myself, were satisfied with the service on the first day and gave them a high rating. However, things took a turn for the worse later on, as they ended up stealing our money. So, it's crucial to consider other alternatives before choosing TransferWise.

Remember, it's always wise to be careful with your money and choose a reliable and trustworthy service.

TransferWise TransferWise Review: Smooth first transaction, but subsequent transfer held with unclear verification process and no updates. Frustrating

I highly suggest my client to use TransferWise. The first transaction went smoothly as they delivered the money within one working day. However, in the subsequent transaction, TransferWise held onto the money my client sent and claimed that it required a verification process. Their representative in Singapore mentioned that it would take some time, but the exact duration was UNCLEAR.

It has been seven working days since then, and I have yet to receive any notification regarding the transfer. Despite my client's efforts in contacting TransferWise and being promised further updates, we have not heard anything back.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this experience, and I will never recommend TransferWise to anyone again.

TransferWise TransferWise Review: Misleading and Slow, Not Worth the Hype

I had high hopes for TransferWise as a reliable way to transfer money between countries, but boy was I wrong. It's downright misleading, I tell ya. Don't even think about making transfers on the weekend, 'cause it ain't gonna happen. And get this, you have to link a bank account, but it still doesn't work properly. Can you believe it?

Now, get this, it takes them a whopping 2 business days to complete a transfer within Europe. I mean, seriously? My own bank can do that in a mere 2 hours, and they charge the same fees or sometimes even none at all. What a joke! I thought I'd give TransferWise a shot while I was traveling, but let me tell you, never again.

Oh, and get this, if your transfer is within Europe, they transfer it to some site called Sofort, which supposedly means "immediately." Ha! What a laugh! Immediately means right away to me, not after waiting for 2 business days. And if you're unlucky enough to catch it on a weekend, well, buckle up 'cause you're in for a 3-4 day wait. Sorry, guys, but you'll have to step up your game if you want my business again.

So, there you have it. TransferWise may sound like a good idea, but trust me, it's not all it's cracked up to be.
