My family loves the smell of Tide... I hate the plastic!
Why is it so hard for a company this big to do the "good and honest" thing, take responsibility and be the one that bites the bullet and sets the pace by putting their product in a paper bag like we did in the 1950"s and '60s and be heroes! Why is that so much to ask, our government seems lethargic to make it a federal mandate, you cannot recycle the plastic that most laundry detergent comes in because its so toxic, yes toxic. They would save money and set a president, a good one and maybe save their own children and grandkids, maybe they really don't care about that. I buy TruEarth and Grove Collaborative laundry strips and feel good about it but my family wants to good smell. Besides why buy water?
What to do What to do, come on guys change, its good, its fun try it
Tired in Colorado
Recommendation: Buy from Grove Collaborative and save your grandkids' lives

Tide Free & Gentle totally destroyed my $300.00 pair of blackout drapes. The first two panels were washed in cold water with Tide Free & Gentle and came out of the washing machine in a 'lump' the backing had melted and the panels were stuck to each other and to tore into shreds when trying to get them apart.
I then washed one of the second set in cold water without any detergent, and this panel came out looking like new with zero damage.
So as a test, I took the second panel of the second set and washed it in cold water with Tide Free & Gentle, and it came out stuck into a ball with the backing melted. Thus, it was the Tide Free & Gentle that ruined the drapes.
I contacted Tide and they claim that I had to have washed the drapes in hot water, I did NOT. They then claimed that the 'washing machine' must be defective, NO it is NOT! Then they suggested that I dried the drapes in a hot dryer, NO the drapes came out of the washer destroyed.
Tide NOW as decided to decline my letters, my $300 replacement claim, and any responsibility. SAD
And really SAD is that they did NOT even ask for a sample of the drapes to see what they did wrong.
