The Planted Tank Forum Somewhatshocked is unstable

Somewhatshocked is famous in the hobby; not the way anyone would. that person must be living a miserable existence of conflict, hate, and malice. One wrong thing and you get banned. How is that even tolerated by the company that owns the forum? What a huge turn off to the people, who want to discuss things.

Until someone fixes that problem, not worth signing up, or posting there at all.

Recommendation: Think twice before signing up: Somewhatshocked is like a mad nazi.....

The Planted Tank Forum Unfair Moderation and Lack of Community Care at The Planted Tank Forum

I gotta say, The Planted Tank Forum (plantedtank.net) has got some issues, man. There's this one mod who's always starting fights with random folks and just straight up banning them. It's like, what's their deal, you know?

So, here's what happened to me. I got banned for life, can you believe it? All because I made a reference to an Indian call center and how they said you can't use a UPS for any aquarium equipment, even an air pump. I mean, come on, it was just a harmless comment!

I'm not sure if the site owners are aware of this mod's behavior or if they just turn a blind eye to it. Either way, it's pretty messed up that they let this person keep doing their thing. It's like they don't care about the community or something.

I gotta admit, it's a real bummer. I used to enjoy being part of The Planted Tank Forum, but now I'm left feeling frustrated and confused. It's like they don't value open discussion or different opinions. And that's not cool, man. Not cool at all.

The Planted Tank Forum Toxic Community Alert: Unfair Bans & Mean-Spirited Behavior by Moderator SomeWhatShocked

Like a lot of folks have said before, that moderator SomeWhatShocked is a real piece of work, always actin' like a kid with a power trip. I gotta say, I've never seen such mean-spirited behavior on a forum before. It's like this person ain't got nothin' better to do in their life than to pick on people in the forum. I was kinda taken aback when I saw how often somewhatshocked's name popped up in Google search results for handin' out these unfair bans. Trust me, you don't wanna waste your time signin' up for this forum. It's just a downright toxic community, plain and simple.

The Planted Tank Forum Beware of Power-Hungry Moderator at PlantedTank.net: Unjust Bans and Lack of Transparency

The Planted Tank Forum, also known as plantedtank.net, is a platform that provides valuable information for aquarium enthusiasts. However, there is a moderator named somewhatshocked who seems to have a bit of a power trip. They have a tendency to ban individuals who dare to criticize or question their actions. It's quite frustrating because they don't provide any explanation for their bans, leaving users in the dark.

As a paying customer, I had a rather unpleasant experience with this moderator. Not only did they charge me double, but they also banned me from the forum just a week later without any clear reason or explanation. It's disheartening to see that someone would take your money and then kick you out without any valid justification. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one who has faced this issue. Five of my friends were also banned simply for calling out this moderator's behavior.

Despite these negative experiences, I must admit that the forum itself is a great resource for gathering information about planted tanks. It's a shame that the actions of one individual can tarnish the overall experience. However, I would strongly advise against paying for any services or engaging in conversations with this particular moderator. It's better to avoid any potential conflicts and frustrations that may arise from interacting with them.

In conclusion, while plantedtank.net is a valuable source of information for aquarium enthusiasts, the presence of a power-hungry moderator named somewhatshocked can be quite off-putting. It's important to be cautious when dealing with this individual, as they have a tendency to ban users without proper explanation or justification. It's unfortunate that such behavior can overshadow the usefulness of the forum.

The Planted Tank Forum Disappointing Experience on The Planted Tank Forum: Lack of Support and Harsh Moderation

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience on The Planted Tank Forum (plantedtank.net). Now, I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed, and I was struggling to figure out how to navigate the site. So, I mustered up the courage to make a post asking for some help. Boy, oh boy, did I get more than I bargained for.

The moderator, let me tell ya, they were downright nasty. They didn't hold back one bit. They straight up told me that I needed to open my eyes and read what was right in front of me. Ouch! That stung a little, I won't lie. I mean, I was just trying to find my way around, and they hit me with that sass.

Now, being the resilient person that I am, I decided to respond to their snarky comment. I politely asked them not to be rude and if they could kindly point me in the right direction. I thought maybe they were having a bad day or something, you know? But no, they didn't take too kindly to my request.

Next thing I know, my account is permanently suspended. Can you believe it? They accused me of "harassing the moderator" and "excessive whining." Can you imagine how crushed I felt? All I wanted was to connect with fellow hobbyists and share my passion, and instead, they labeled me as a stupid whiner. It's just plain cruel and aggressive, if you ask me.

I gotta say, it really broke my heart. I thought forums were supposed to be a place where people could come together, help each other out, and have a good time. But this experience on The Planted Tank Forum left a bitter taste in my mouth. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.

So, if you're like me, someone who's just looking for a friendly community to share your love for planted tanks, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Trust me, you don't need that kind of negativity in your life. There are plenty of other forums out there where you'll be treated with respect and kindness. Don't waste your time on a place that's gonna make you feel like a fool.

The Planted Tank Forum Concerns about Moderator Behavior and Abuse of Power on The Planted Tank Forum

I recently had an unfortunate experience on The Planted Tank Forum (plantedtank.net). I received a rather unpleasant message from one of the Moderators, who goes by the name somewhatshocked. To make matters worse, I ended up being banned from the forum simply because I dared to question the tone of this Moderator and requested to speak with an Administrator. In my opinion, this particular Moderator seemed to be overstepping their boundaries and using their authority to intimidate users who dared to ask for an explanation or an apology for their rude behavior.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to do a quick Google search of this Moderator's username. To my surprise, I stumbled upon numerous posts on other forums where users shared similar experiences of being banned by this Moderator or feeling compelled to leave the forum due to perceived wrongdoing on their part. It's disheartening to see that someone who is relatively new to the forum feels the need to exert their power and ban individuals for simply suggesting that they should be more mindful of how they communicate with others.

I must admit, I've been a member of The Planted Tank Forum for nearly a decade now, and this recent encounter has left a bitter taste in my mouth. It's disheartening to witness a new member abusing their authority and disregarding the principles of open communication and respect that the forum should uphold. As a long-standing member, I believe it's crucial for the forum's Administrators to address these concerns and ensure that all Moderators adhere to a fair and unbiased approach when dealing with users.

The Planted Tank Forum has always been a valuable resource for me, providing a platform to connect with fellow aquarium enthusiasts and exchange knowledge. However, incidents like these can tarnish the overall experience and discourage users from actively participating in discussions. It's important for the forum's leadership to take these matters seriously and foster an environment where users feel safe and respected.

In conclusion, my recent encounter with the Moderator somewhatshocked on The Planted Tank Forum has left me disappointed and concerned about the direction the forum is heading. I hope that the Administrators will take the necessary steps to address these issues and ensure that all Moderators uphold the values of open communication and respect. After nearly a decade of membership, it's disheartening to witness the abuse of power by a new Moderator, and I sincerely hope that the forum can regain its positive and inclusive atmosphere.

The Planted Tank Forum The Planted Tank Forum: A Disappointing Shift Towards Censorship and Closed-Mindedness

I was just having a regular ol' chat with this person on The Planted Tank Forum, you know, talking about dirted sand caps and all that jazz. But then, out of the blue, their moderator, somewhatshocked, jumps in and starts disagreeing with something I said. Apparently, he was worried that some newbie might misunderstand what I was saying. Can you believe it?

So, being the reasonable person that I am, I responded by saying that discussions and different opinions are actually a good thing. I mean, come on, people are smart enough to make up their own minds, right? Well, guess what happened next? I suddenly found myself unable to reply or post anything. Can you imagine that? Meanwhile, all these other folks who agree with the moderator's viewpoint are free to share their thoughts. It's like they're saying, "Hey, let's shut down any discussion that goes against what we believe!"

Honestly, it feels like this site is becoming more and more like a police state. They're cracking down on any kind of conversation or debate, to the point where you can't even have a normal discussion without the fear of being scolded and kicked off the forum. It's a real shame, because I used to enjoy being part of this community. But now, it's starting to feel like a dictatorship, where only certain opinions are allowed to be heard.

I don't know about you, but I miss the good old days when we could freely express our thoughts and have open discussions without the fear of being silenced. It's sad to see a once vibrant and diverse community slowly turning into an echo chamber. So, if you're looking for a place where you can have genuine conversations and explore different ideas, I'm not sure The Planted Tank Forum is the right fit anymore. But hey, that's just my two cents.

The Planted Tank Forum Negative Experience with Moderator and Community on plantedtank.net

I hadn't been on plantedtank.net for quite some time, but recently I decided to share a couple of journal threads on the forum. However, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon, all thanks to the presence of a moderator named somewhatshocked. Let me tell you, this person is on a serious power trip and can be incredibly rude. I'm not the only one who feels this way, as others have also expressed their frustrations with this individual.

Now, let me give you an example of what happened to me. I made a comment that could have been interpreted as against the forum's policies, although that was not my intention at all. Instead of simply reminding me of the rules, somewhatshocked took it to a whole new level. They not only wrote a degrading insult right in the comments, but also sent me threatening messages privately. It's absolutely uncalled for and completely unprofessional.

I can't help but wonder if this moderator's behavior is influencing the members as well. I received a couple of extremely rude responses to my regular posts, which were just innocent aquarium pictures and text. It's disheartening to see such negativity and hostility within a community that should be about sharing knowledge and passion for planted tanks.

Honestly, I would advise you to save yourself the grief and look for other forums to engage with. There are plenty of other options out there where you can find helpful and respectful communities. Don't waste your time dealing with the power trips and rudeness on plantedtank.net.

The Planted Tank Forum Disappointing Forum Experience: Rude Moderation and Unfair Bans

I joined this forum 'cause I thought it'd be a chill place to chat about aquariums and plants, but man, was I wrong. Some folks on here are real jerks, especially this mod called Somewhatshocked. He'll ban you outta nowhere for the smallest things, like just politely disagreeing with him. And let me tell ya, he's got a real talent for being rude. I got banned for standing up for myself when someone called me an animal abuser for askin' a simple question. So, I PM'd the mod to ask for more info on the ban, and all I got was a bunch of rude talk and false assumptions about me. I got the screenshots to prove it, folks. The first one's the PM with the mod after the argument in the comments, and the rest are in order. My last message to the mod, the one that got me permabanned for "causing drama and not followin' the rules," is at the bottom in a text box. I took the screenshot before I replied 'cause I knew that comment would get me banned right away. Oh, and by the way, I'm Jo2h2803, the one with the yellow "J" profile pic.

TL; DR: Stay away from this forum, folks. It's got some of the rudest people I've ever come across online, and you'll get banned for nothin'.

Edit: The photos ain't in the right order, folks. I reckon the second-to-last one is the PM with the mod.

The Planted Tank Forum The Planted Tank Forum: A Moderation Nightmare - Opinion Over Facts, Insults, and Bans

There's this forum called The Planted Tank Forum, or plantedtank.net, and let me tell you, it's not a place for sharing or discussion unless it's approved by this person called somewhatshocked. This mod, let me tell you, reads all the threads and private messages on the forum just to find reasons to ban people. And let me tell you, somewhatshocked is not a pleasant person to talk to. They're rude, insulting, and act like a child. You can't have a conversation with them, trust me.

I've seen it happen to myself and others on the site and in other places. We were all being nice and everything, but still got banned. It's like, once they disagree with you on something, bam, you're permanently banned. First, they give you a temporary ban, and then they go through your private messages to find another reason to ban you. And if you dare ask them why you're being banned or try to understand the issue and apologize, they'll just permaban you for arguing with the mod. I mean, seriously, how does apologizing and seeking clarification result in a permanent ban?

Let me tell you, somewhatshocked thinks their opinion is the only right answer. They shut down all other threads, even if there's scientific evidence or a study involved. It doesn't matter if you have the correct knowledge or method, if it's different from their opinion, you're not allowed to have an opinion. You should look up this guy called Greggz, he was featured in Aquarium Hobbyist Magazine and has really contributed to the hobby. But even he couldn't escape the wrath of Somewhatshocked and their preference for opinion over facts and research. Somewhatshocked even shut down a several hundred page thread until people got mad enough to bring it back. At that point, they should have been removed as a mod because it was clear that their actions were driven by spite and not liking being proven wrong.

And let me tell you, asking any question to the moderator will get you permabanned. I mean, any question, no exceptions. This forum is all about this mod's opinion and nothing else. There's no room for learning or having good discussions here. It's like they have this one way of doing things, and if you deviate from it even a little bit, you might as well just leave. It's like a cult, you know? You either do things their way or you get insulted and cast out. Even if it's just about how often to do a water change or asking for an explanation, forget about it.
