Avoid this Business
Very dishonest/sleazy business practices and poor customer service (I was dealing directly with the owner). I bought and acoustic guitar from the shop, they didn't have a case in stock, owner said he would order it in for me if I paid for it with the guitar. I got home and the guitar was priced $150.00 more and l & m, would not price match and it has been 2 months and the case has still never came in. Avoid this shop I have heard nothing but bad experance from other muscians in the city ower has a reputation of being a slimbag, go to buds or l &m.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
they got those SWEET Duesenburgs, though...
just saying
This store is awful and the owners are very sleazy. They treat their employees very poorly. Avoid this business!
I have been a customer of the Peterborough for 2 years now. I am a player semi pro and have been building a small recording studio in the north end. I have spent al least 15K in the past year there because of the service and professional class of Sean, Rod and Mitch the guitar setup repair person. I frequent many music retail stores in Ontario and Quebec and USA and can only say the service /knowledge and attention to timely and correct detail I have experienced from the Peterborough Guitar Boutique is top notch. I will continue to support them and the local L&M as I build my studio. If you are a player and a frequent buyer you realize problems arise with delivery, quality, price shop etc. I have found these people to be fair, detailed, honest and responsive.

Having bought several different items there, I have never encountered any of the issues posted above. And when you complain about the price AFTER you find it cheaper elsewhere, that's YOUR problem. Check prices BEFORE you buy, don't blame the store for your laziness. And hey, "tamanu, " why didn't you buy the pedal at Bud's in the first place if it was $20 cheaper? Really?
I know the person who made the original comaint. He got cought steeling from the owner.
The owner even let him work there for an additional fue more months to give him a chance and the guy actually stole again. That's why he was fired.

It would be a start if they had some people working there that know a little bit more than the average Joe does about instruments and amps. Asked them questions and they telling me specs on amps that clearly shows the amp doesn't have so I really don't think anyone of them have a sweet clue what they are selling let alone talking about.
As a beginner I went to the store in Whitby and was amazed at what a beautiful organized store...wonderful friendly and patient staff ...Dave was GREAT...! after looking aroundat other guitar shops even in Toronto...I am planning on going back to buy a guitar...
Great store, great staff! Great prices and WILL match the competition. The person who made the complaint is completely lying and obviously has some personal emotional issues.
these replys are to funny
Don't steal and you won't get fired. Don't get fired and you won't generate false complaints. Don't generate false complaints and you won't get sued. Just sayin'.
