Terminix free termite inspection

We have scheduled our free termite inspection on 3 seperate occasions and we waited and waited and noone ever showed up. Not even a text or phone call. Not one of the 3 times could anyone be bothered to contact us and we are current pest control clients. It is ridiculous and unacceptable. I'm not sure how this will affect our future relationship with this company.

Terminix pest control

i has this product installed in my house on friday march 2nd 2018 a rep came out wed feb 28th 2018 for an inspection of the house at the time my appointment was 3 to 5 the rep did not come until well after 6pm this is only after i called at 5 to find out what was going on. when the rep came i informed him that my main concern was mice that i had in my basement. An appointment was set for friday march 2nd. the appointment time was 8 to 12 again the rep was late i called at 915 to find out what time the rep would be coming i was told that they would have to find a rep for me and they would inform me when he would be here. i then received a call saying the rep would be there around 10. the rep then laid wooden mice traps 1 bait station and glue pads. and 2 termite stations and sprayed. i called on saturday because i was not satisfied with traps that were laid i was told that the next appointment would be 1 week from then. on sunday i once again called to cancel my service the lady was very combative and told me that i was not playing for just mice control but mostly termite, i informed her that my main concern was mice not termites and that i was not happy with how i was being treated and talked to . i was told that a manager would contact me in 24 to 48hours. after hanging up i called the local number on my contract to again express my concerns about how i was being treated as well as how the lady was talking to me and the lack of professionalism i was told that this would be escalated and again a manger would be calling me in 24 to 48hrs. today is not thursday march 8th at 12:11 i again called to say that i have not received a call from a manager in regards to my canceling services. i was told that the manager is in a meeting and they would call me i then asked if i could talk to a manager in that department and was told that the manager was on lunch. the professionalism is horrible at this company i have sent a letter to the bbb and am extremely disappointed with how i am being treated

Terminix bed bug service

On September, 20 we purchased the bed bug package from your company. We called back in because we seen bed bugs present in that space again. Somehow, the representative misunderstood and assumed we meant to treat other parts of the house. This is when I started contacted Terminix, I didn't receive any callbacks like I was promised, no email, no follow up what so ever. In which we were not able to treat the room with service guarantee, and now the bed bugs has spread to other rooms. Causing clients to be bitten, and even some hospitalized. We're a nonprofit organization that assist clients recovery in a safe space, and now our space is not sufficient for them. From a business aspect we were willing to pay for the entire home to be treated, but felt our concerns should be heard from someone who actually cares. This case has been handled poorly, it lacks customer service, and most importantly CUSTOMER GUARANTEE. Going forward, I personally wouldn't refer anyone to Terminix. This has been the worst experience thus far dealing with an vendor.

Terminix Pest Control Service is a joke

I have been using Terminix for about 3 years for rodent problems.
You would think that after 3 years my problem would have lessen a little.
It has not...as a matter of fact, it's gotten worst. These people clam that they are experts in pest control. can find your pest problem and fix it completely. Not so... they will charge you an outrageous amount of money but never complete the promised services that they vow to back with a guarantee no less. I even had a guy say that he could smell mouse urine in my house and at the time, this impressed me . Well, that was BS. If you can smell mouse urine, then you should be able to find out where the mice are coming in. The mice infestation is still there and the only statement they can make is, "We don't know why this is happening" They claim they have been in business about 80 year s- well, you certainly haven't learned much about pest control and proper customer service...go back to school, Terminix.

Terminix bed bug treatment

My husband and I were informed we had a bedbug issue and two companies come out to inspect. Terminex was one and they insisted they could beat the price of the competitor as well as eliminate the problem along with offering a guarantee. The initial treatment lasted less than an hour and the tech said ours was a minor issue. They followed up with a few more treatments and said the problem was eliminated. We threw out all the bedding and bought brand new furniture once we got the all clear. A month later the tech came out and said the bugs were back and had spread to 3 other rooms citing it originated from the one bedroom mattress which is was previously contained to. This was impossible because everything in that room was brand new, wrapped in plastic, and in bed bug covers. I've called 3 times to speak with a supervisor to be told each time a supervisor will call back in 24-48 hours. It's been over three weeks and still no resolution. Terminex charged me over $2000 and is still giving me the run around. I'm about ready to consult a lawyer and my loca State Attorney Generals office. I'm sick of them

Terminix Service not completed - overcharged

We have had the absolute worst experience with Terminix. We hired the company in June when we bought our new house in New Jersey to do an attic clean out and wildlife exclusion. Erik Groat seemed reasonable and was sure the team could do the job we needed. The team from Roselle Park came on June 20 and thought they were laying insulation - we should have told them to leave then - but they went into the attic without any protective equipment and removed raccoon feces and contaminated insulation with basic garbage bags. The tracked the feces through our house and left it all through our master bedroom. They left telling us the job was done and expected us to clean up. When we went into the attic they had removed less than 50% of the insulation. Terminix (Henry Font and Matt Romano) assured us they were shocked by what had happened then proceeded to send one of the same employees to spray disinfectant even though the attic was still not cleaned out. After 3 more visits from Terminix we remain with insulation and feces in our eaves, and they also threw insulation out the window into the yard. Each time we complained and documented with photos. We have had to hire another company to clean up after them (Wildlife Masters if you need a recommendation) who told us that raccoon feces are a biohazard and Terminix should have set up a decontamination chamber at the base of the attic stairs to protect themselves and us from disease. We finally went through the Better Business Bureau to formally register our complaints and negotiated to have our bill reduced - We also cancelled the wildlife exclusion as they never did this. We go round and round in circles with executive services and the regional office asking them to please send us the new bill and remove the old ones so we can get his nightmare behind us. They assure us every time that they will and everyone is always outraged at the other department for not taking care of all this - but lo and behold they just sent us to collections and tacked $1500 onto the bill. They are still sending us bills for the exclusion that was cancelled in July! At this point we are going through the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs and contacting lawyers. Buyer beware. This has been a disaster from beginning to end and everyone in Terminix tells us it's someone else's job to fix it yet nothing ever gets done.

Terminix Termite Control

I am writing this at 2:48 am because I was awakened by termites crawling all over my body in my sleep.
This all started when I called Terminix now (about three weeks ago) to let them know I had a serious termite issue in my bedroom, that had been treated by them multiple times before. I told them that I knew for a fact that it was termites that I had in my room and that it needed to be treated immediately as they were crawling all over my bed in the night time and it was preventing me from being able to sleep. They said not a problem and that the local branch would contact me within two days because they had escalated the issue.

A week later I had not heard back from anyone at Terminix. I called back and the same thing occurred. I also did not hear back from a local representative.

Last week I called Terminix once again, this time very upset to not have heard back from anyone in over 2.5 weeks from my initial "emergency" call. They apologized immediately and stated they would get someone from the local branch for me immediately - guess what? They were not able to get through. The local "manager" a female called me two days later to let me know that I could not be penciled into the schedule for a mere inspection until 1 week later and then that they would schedule a termite treatment following- with no set commitment on availability.

Now let me explain my situation - I have a very serious termite problem - by now, I know exactly what they look like, how their bodies are segmented, what time a year they come out, that they tend to hang out in very large groups on my bed, and that it gets very bad very fast. Unfortunately this "manager" did not believe that these winged creatures with straight abdomen (winged swarmers) were termites and thought that the bright solution was to send over the regular pest control which did nothing for me, but allow more time to go by and more termites to accumulate.

The manager was extremely rude, with no tact for upset customers, did not allow for a positive scheduling experience and did not help - the only reason why I am writing this email right now is because this manager did not resolve a pertinent, emergency issue, she let it get worse.

The worst part is that when the pest control guy came over, he said there was no female manager at their branch, only male. And that I was probably speaking to the assistant.

I don't know what to do anymore, I am completely devastated with the fact that I can't sleep and unfortunately it's due to the horrible service of Terminix.

3 weeks means nothing. For you to have termites in your house, they have been there for at least a year or more before you even see them. Like I said, call another pest control if they are that bad and Terminex can't service you fast enough.

You can't sleep because you have termites. That is not Terminex fault. Call another pest control company. You have a problem that is years in the making.

Terminix Crawl space encapsulation

No matter what, go elsewhere. The management could not care less about the quality of service at this location. We contracted Terminix to complete a crawlspace encapsulation at our home on 3/29. They began the work on 4/13, which included just pulling out the old insulation, and have not been back since, its 5/26. They left 1800 square feet of insulation sitting in my backyard since 4/13. They have repeatedly told me that they are coming out the next day to pick it up, yet here it still sits. I have been leaving messages at every level of management for weeks that the city is ticketing me for the insulation and Terminix has done absolutely nothing but make promises. They consistently pass the buck and make excuses on those rare occasions when I can actually get in contact with someone. And then they have the audacity to treat me as if something is wrong with me because I am upset about the situation. I have kids and pets who I have to be concerned about getting into this insulation, and neighbors who are extremely upset about having to look at it. I have literally spent hours on the phone on hold trying to resolve this situation. It seems as if absolutely no one at Terminix cares about anything but taking your money. They may be fine for basic bug services but for anything else, please save yourself a terrible experience.

**Update**
Its now 6/23/16 and the work that I contracted Terminix to do in March still has not been completed. They finally removed all of the insulation from my back yard and came out once to do more of the work but its still far from done. There has been no pop up issues, my home hasn't needed any extra work, Terminix just has not given a damn about coming to my home to complete the work. Corporate still hasn't done anything despite numerous complaints on my part. The local Terminix manager won't return my calls. Yet, Terminix still doesn't have a problem getting those bills out on time or cashing my checks. As I have been talking to others in the community who have dealt with Terminix everyone says run away. Their customer service is horrible. There is no real way to escalate real problems, the folks on the 800 number just "leave messages" with the regional managers who have never once contacted me or done anything to correct the problem. And they have made no effort to pay the fine for the ticket that I received from the city for the 1, 800 square ft of insulation that they left balled up in my back yard, worse yet, they never even apologized. I really mean it when I say that they truly do not care.

Second update 6/25/16. So after I posted my update, Terminix Social Media team contacted me supposedly in order to help me resolve my case. You know what their solution was? Nothing. Yep, the same old run around, the "we will be sure to forward your issue to the manager at your local Terminix". This man will not answer his phone, return my message left directly to him, respond to complaints lodged through the 1800 terminix customer service line, nor other messages sent through the completely useless "escalation" specialists. Its like they did not even read my review and just fell back the canned reply that is supposed to give me hope. What part of its been since April do you not understand. I have tried this all before. NO ONE CARES AT TERMINIX.

Terminix Termite mitigation, billing and customer service

If I could give negative stars I would.  This is the worst company I've ever dealt with.  Every step of the way and with every employee I've dealt with in the company, from the technicians to the "customer service" on the phone have failed to do their job.  I first hired terminix four and half years ago and was never alerted to the fact that I had termite activity in my home.  It wasn't until I went to sell my home that the termite activity was discovered.  So you could imagine my surprise when I was alerted to this. After having terminix inspect and bid the mitigation service for my home, I called into the 1800# to schedule my service.  I had to call several times to set up the appointment because every time I called I would be placed on hold and no one would ever return to the line to answer. Finally, I scheduled a time that worked for my schedule and the scheduled timing for the contract on the sale of my home, only later to find out that the service never got scheduled.  So I then had to work with the technicians schedule and take time off of work, lose money, and push back my contract deadline ( again costing me more of my time and money). When the technician scheduled the time, they asked that I set aside time  window from 10a -4p! The technicians left my home a mess with epoxy left all over my floors and front lawn.  They also left a half empty epoxy tube in my front lawn.  I paid the technician in cash and the payment was never credited to my account.  I am still trying to resolve the missing payment issue, and as you can imagine this is no easy task.  I've called several times and I get transfer and put on hold for over 30 min.  The issue was escalated to a manager twice and I was supposed to receive a call back within 24-48 hours and no big surprise here, I still haven't received a phone call back.  So I continue to call, get the run around and never receive a solution or call back.  All I can seem to get from terminix is excuses, poor customer service, wasting of my time and money and a big headache! Save your time and money and use another service!

Terminix They didn't rush to help us with the termites

I had the contract with Terminix Laguna Hills. We signed it for 5 years and the company pledged to provide inspection in our house every 6 months. Suddenly, they have changed the conditions of the contract and said that they wouldn’t inspect it every 6 months and we should inform them, when we would have any problems. I called and complained about termites, but no one showed to provide the services. But they receive money for their so-called services.

Terminix Termite Inspection for Treatment

I could not reach the TERMINIX branch at 8550 N. 91st Ave, Suite 77, Peoria, AZ 85260, directly. All phone numbers listed on the internet all go to a call center. It was hard to find the supervisor info for this technician named GARY HALDERMAN on the internet, and the call center would not provide info for his supervisor. So guess what? I am reaching out to YELP and COMPLAINTS.COM instead. On Monday 1/18/16, (during my initial call for a termite inspection) the call center said they will have GARY HALDERMAN (the Terminix technician) give me a courtesy call 15-20 minutes before he shows up on Tuesday 1/19/20. He was scheduled to show up between 1pm-3pm. I deliberately made sure the TV or radio was on low so I can hear the Phone, (or the door for that matter) and worked on my computer next to the front door. On Tuesday 1/19/16 after 4pm, I found a business card on my front door. I would have heard doorbell or the knock on the door, being that I was on my computer by the front door. I also checked my call log and voicemail on my land line, (which was the only number they were given at the call center), and there were no calls or messages from anyone at all on this day. I called the Phone number on the business card GARY HALDERMAN (Terminix Technician) left on my front door and, of course, it went to the call center. The call center operator said he should have given me a courtesy call before he arrived, and doesn't understand why he wouldn't have called if he was at the front door knocking and no one was answering. THANK YOU! Exactly what I was thinking! This is just basic Customer Service 101 practices that were not adhered to and plain and simple BAD, BAD, BAD Customer Service. By no means am I complaining about the call center, I am complaining about the Technician, (GARY HALDERMAN). The call center listened to my complaint and offered to send the complaint to GARY and to reschedule my TERMITE inspection for the following day on WEDNESDAY 1/20/16 between 10am -Noon. They also promised to make sure that the GARY HALDERMAN will give me a courtesy call and ring the doorbell when he arrives. NOW HERE IS THE APPALLING PART! GET READY FOR IT! At approximately 9:40am WEDNESDAY, 1/20/16, this morning, (20 minutes before his scheduled time frame for a Termite inspection), I get a call from GARY HALDERMAN, thinking he is giving me his courtesy call. Not in the slightest, he only called to complain about the complaint that was put on him the night before. He said he knocked and no one answered, I told him I was on the computer next to the front door. When I asked GARY HALDERMAN why he didn't give me a courtesy call, he said it wasn't in his notes, but I told him that the call center said it was in their notes to have him give me a courtesy call. Then I asked GARY why he wouldn't have just called from his cell phone if he was at the front door knocking and if no one was answering? GARY did not say anything? Then GARY HALDERMAN asks me when would I like to reschedule another Termite Inspection? Can you believe this? GARY HALDERMAN did not have any knowledge of his scheduled inspection set for 10am-Noon. Keep in mind again it is 9:40am and I am thinking GARY is calling 20 minutes early for his 10am-noon appointment time frame. If GARY HALDERMAN can't even get an appointment correct how do you think the actual termite job/service would be done? So I called back the call center to try and get GARY ALDERMAN'S supervisors information, and the call center said it is against their policies to give out that information, but said that they would forward my complaint. The call center also mentioned that GARY may have an older cell phone not compatible with their messaging system, therefore, he is not getting, or not receiving their entire messages. The call center offered to set up another appointment, but I told them the same thing I told GARY HALDERMAN, and emphatic H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS NO! I also requested that the call center put my answer in all caps in their notes as well, so TEMINIX gets how frustrated I really am. The call center operator was empathetic and agreed and said would make sure that my request was honored. I happened to be at home and was not called in for work, but if I did not have the time off, I would have had to call off of work for both of these appointments. I would be livid if I would have had to take time off and GARY HALDERMAN wasted 2 of my work days because of his non-existent customer service abilities. If I were future potential customers, I would not trust the work that this company does if you cannot even get setting up an appointment correctly. Michael & Michelle in Phoenix, AZ

Terminix Failure to honor Guarantee

Terminix purchased the pest control service that I had been very happy with. I allowed them to do the first treatment but the results were so poor that I would not let them treat again. I was told the product they use kills spiders but does not continue to kill new spiders. My previous company had a superior product. Two days after the treatment my patio and roses were overrun with spider mites. I canceled the service explaining the issue yet they still billed me for an ineffective service. They guarantee a refund if you are not satisfied. So why the bill? I called to dispute it a second time but still they say I have to pay. I think that makes them dishonest about the Guarantee which is the only reason I let them treat in the first place. Another company that is too big to care!

Terminix Pathetic customer service and fraud

For background, I signed up Terminix service on 08/29 through James (Contact#[protected]). He came to our community and signed-up around 15 people. I happen to be there at my neighbor and signed almost at sunset time. He was in hurry and signed in rush giving the conception that its $80 per year (whereas HomeTeam is $240), so it was no brainer for me to make that call.

The first few concerns I had with Terminix was that I received multiple statements with my first and last name screwed up differently on different statements. And sometimes even the street address is different; I guess postman somehow delivering looking at my name. I sent email on 09/16 for which I don’t have response until today.

I paid my first bill for $80 presuming yearly payment. Lately, when I got my second bill for $80 I spoke to my neighbors. At least few of them cancelled and got the bill waived. One of my friends who lives on same street was with same conception and paid only $20 and disconnected the service.

So far, I spoke to Terminix (incoming) around 20-25 times and every time I mentioned my concerns, but I find the customer service hard to understand both ways. And worst thing is that I get call but no one responds and sometimes it’s hard to understand their English. However, there was one time I spoke to lady where I clear explained for half hour or so and I mentioned about the weird statements I get and the call drop-offs. And she took it up carefully and mentioned that second bill for $80 will be waived, however for first bill she can’t give refund unless she gets approval. I was supposed to get call back which I didn’t until date from that person.

The last I made is on 04/28, that’s when I see notice from collection which took me on surprise despite several calls with Terminix. Today, I spoke to Cimir, Trevor and Linda. None of them were service managers and weren’t in favor. The worst part is that the notes didn’t capture the information I spoke to the lady last time where the fee is waived. However, they said John Henkil (service manager) declined, not sure where he came from as I doubt he heard me and my concerns. Having said that, at the end of the call I clearly got consent from Linda that I can go ahead to seek attorney and post the facts on social websites.

In the end, I ignored the credit of $40 (whereas my neighbor paid only $20). And now, if I am still being insisted to pay another $80, I am not ready for it. I would rather seek my other channels despite all pain I had with Terminix. If you are looking at only my opinion, then please feel free to look into details of customers withdrawn from Terminix.

Has anyone noticed that the annual cost for Terminix's Termite protection plan has more than doubled since the year 2000?

The average annual increase over that perod has been 7.76%. Compare that to the rate of inflation and you will know why the Big T is so profitable.

Terminix No Show/no call

Terminix Failed to transfer

My wife and I just bought a house in Huntsville, AL.
This is not our first house - so I've been down this path before, but not with these results.

Prior to putting an offer on the table on the house we were interested in, I researched to find out what termite company had a bond on the house. I spoke to their local representative, who told me that the contract was transferable, with no cost to transfer. We'd only have to pay the yearly fee (less than $200) for their protection service, which included treatment of the house to prevent termites, and full repairs should those treatments still yield termites. I was told to contact them if/when we bought the house to get that policy transferred.

After making an offer and having it accepted, we are now happy residents of that home. As suggested, I contacted the company (that is a national pest control company) and one of their agents came out to complete the paper work.

Upon arrival, he took out a stack of papers and told me that the policy is transferable, but...
He said that the previous owners of the house had the house bonded with another company, and that bond had been taken over by his company, when his company (Company B) bought out Company A.
He informed me that we needed a new bond (certainly not a transfer) and the cost of that would be well over $1000.00 (a thousand dollars). I was furious, to say the least. He talked about all kinds of ways to pay for it in installments, that the yearly rate would stay the same, but a new bond was needed.

He gave me a lengthy explanation that he understood upset me, tried explaining that this only happened because the previous owners had a contract with another company, blah, blah, blah...

At first I said I understood (I didn't sign ANYTHING) - and he proceeded to go to his car and get a device to measure the dimensions of the house, and he'd be back.

It was a cold day in Huntsville, that day, (in the high 20's) and as he started taking the measurements, I got to thinking more about this, and the hotter I got... I let him freeze while he took all the measurements, and when he came back to the door to come in to sign the contract, I read him the riot act.

I explained that after careful consideration, I don't do business with companies that lie to me, and that his company lied to me. I expected to have the contract transferred as explained to me, and that his 'discounted' offer wasn't good to me. I said that if he wanted me as a 'valued customer' he'd have to earn it by honoring what he told me, a cost free transfer of the policy.

I live in south Alabama on an island in the Gulf. I am selling my house after 17 years. The home termite Bond with T^^^^^x has been active and in good standing since original construction in 1976 with the original owner. In 2004 I assumed the bond as the second owner of the home. Now, they tell me the bond is not transferrable to a third owner. Now I have a problem with the new buyer over the “non transferrable” of the bond contract. At no time was I notified of the change of contract. I cannot find (online) wording of the bond contract. Representatives refused to provide.

Terminix Service Inefective

Service sucked. Came to my house to spray for bedbugs but never finished the service. Every time they came they couldn't use the proper equipment because it was either broken or being used by another employee. As a result the bugs kept coming back and in even greater numbers. $700-$800 later I still have the bedbug problem but don't have the $ anymore. Stay away from these people. They just want your money.
