we stayed at Chamber Knole Farm near Bakewell Derbyshire. We arrived at set time the cottage was freezing cold as the heat had just come on Not a good start as we felt it was not at all welcoming. We were cold already. It took all night to get a bit warmer and we left to oven on to heat the place. The heat came back on at about 8am again but we were so cold we got dressed and went out to get warm. We came back to a freezing cottage in the afternoon and my Husband has been unwell Ca Bladder and needed to sleep I got a duvet to wrap him in and when he got up we packed and came home. I told the lady owner I felt unwell but in retrospect I should have told the truth to her.My husband is now on Antibiotics for a chest infection.Very upset about this as we have never had this before on out holidays. Not even a welcome pack of tea bags !
Desired outcome: Maybe a small refund/or all. and if it helps others who may stay in the winter to have a warm welcoming cottage to stay in
