Studio 6 review: Lawsuit pending

This property is dirty, poorly maintained, and clearly run with zero care or accountability. I caught housekeeping doing a half-assed job on camera; she only changed one of the beds, then picked up the trash and set it on the bed I actually sleep in, without changing those sheets. Absolutely disgusting and unhygienic.

After that, I made it very clear that I needed to be present for any future cleanings, yet my room was completely skipped the next day. I had to call down just to ask for basic necessities like towels and tissues; and even that took over an hour to arrive, at a property that’s maybe 20% occupied and STEADILY LOSING BUSINESS.

To make matters worse, there’s clearly a bug problem; possibly bed bugs. From the day I arrived, I was bitten every single day by something. I even showed the front desk, and they sent maintenance to spray, but it made no difference at all. The bites continued.

Now, not only am I dealing with the discomfort and irritation, but I have two service dogs who have been scratching nonstop since being there. As someone who is disabled, this is beyond stressful, now I have to take both dogs to the vet to ensure nothing serious is wrong with them. The negligence here is unreal and absolutely grounds for a pain and suffering lawsuit.

When I went to the front desk to ask about changing rooms, since I was considering extending my stay (and had just tipped Stephanie, one of the only decent housekeepers, for doing an excellent job the day before), I was told I’d been placed on a “do not book” list. The supposed reason? That I “wouldn’t allow staff into my room.”

That is a blatant lie, and they know it. This property is fully aware I have cameras with audio in my room, so I can easily prove what actually happened.

Let’s be clear, this wasn’t about access. It’s because someone didn’t like that I called out poor service after getting an attitude on the phone. I told them flat-out: I don’t care about your attitude, and apparently that was enough to get blacklisted.

For the record, I paid in full, not day-by-day. I’m not a sex worker, drug user, pimp, or homeless; none of the above. I’m a professional woman moving out of the country, and after paying $2,500–$3,200/month for luxury high-rises in Vegas, I chose this cheaper option to save money before my international move. Clearly, that was a mistake.

The way this property operates feels racially motivated and retaliatory, especially after being caught on camera and called out. All of my videos, photos, and footage are being sent to corporate and my attorney, and I’ll be disputing the full payment with my bank.

To top it off, this property attracts prostitutes, drug users, and homeless individuals daily. It’s not somewhere anyone should feel safe or comfortable.

The only positive thing I can say about Studio 6 Tropicana is the security team; they’re amazing. They made me feel safe, especially after a random man left his room, sat in the stairwell near mine, and started staring at me. When I told security, they handled it immediately. Upon approaching, they even overheard him on the phone describing me to someone; extremely disturbing.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if this property has sex trafficking activity going on.

Travelers; especially women, pet owners, and disabled guests — avoid this place at all costs.
