Structured Settlement Someone called me during covid 19 My hours have been cut and my husband isnt working so we can barely pay our bills

Someone called me during covid 19 My hours have been cut and my husband isnt working so we can barely pay our bills. I told him I would be glad to pay when we are back on our feet. He said he wont wait. He was so rude and almost yelling at me and very threatening. Hard to believe this company is still in business much less rated an A.

If I could give them negative stars I would. All this place did was threaten me. Very rude. Wouldn't work with me. Refused to cancel my payment plan with them even though we are currently going through a national pandemic and I'm not working my normal hours. Anytime I tried to call and stop my payments they would hang up on me. Threatened me with jail time and everything. I tried multiple times to get them to lower my payments and they refused.

I got a call from this company looking for a family member when I asked for more information on what the actual name and what this was about and if it was a scam they become rude and nasty and hung up on me. When I called back they refused to let me speak to a manager and just kept being irate. I called one more time trying to speak with a manager and the guy Mike sent me to Lilly who I had just spoken to. They lied to me and were nothing but mean and nasty. They could not understand that I will not relay any info to my family member until I was sure it was not a scam. This company does not care about how their employees talk to people on the phone.

I just received a call today from structured settlement they left a message I called them back then they tell me it's not me that they're trying to get a hold of but my husband to collect a debt and then the lady hangs up on me very rudely then I called back and get a man and he tells me it's against my husband on some raging line pills that I talked to those people before and we never received them if we had ordered them we would've paid with a credit card and they would've been paid for so I don't know why they're saying we owe a debt when we never received the pills are never even ordered them. And the guy tells me just gonna put it on my husband's credit report and hangs up on me how do you conduct a business when you just hang up on the customer. We did not place the order though it use my husbands name and my info on my phone which I had my stuff hacked so I had my credit frozen. We do not owe for these pills or whatever they are and I do not owe the debt and will not pay these rude people when they can't even speak to me.

Harassing phone calls for a debt I don't owe for 136.00. I informed them I didn't owe and even confirmed with *** that it was paid. I offered to give them ***# and ext of the person I spoke to they refused to take the info to confirm. Very hostile saying they called multiple times and I know. Which has to be a lie. They constantly call, have even left messages. I've been hung up on by representatives. Threatening to report me to credit agency's for a debt I don't owe!

Receive a call every three to four months from the company called Structured Settlement, indicating that I have an outstanding debt for some vitamins ordered back in early July. The debt was paid via my *** Credit Card, after it was first disputed because of the name of the company was not known. The credit card company verified and cleared payment to the company. In talking with Lindsey and Gilbert from the company and faxing proof of payment, they indicated that it was resolved. I now am receiving more calls from the rude representatives of this company, as I'm explaining that this has been resolved. The representatives have actually hung up on me and then will call back in a few days. The trend continues every 3 to 4 months. Would like to resolve or start legal action against the company. There is no debt outstanding.

Structured Settlement This company has called my new place of employment multiple times giving out my personal information which isn't documented in any paperwork

This company has called my new place of employment multiple times giving out my personal information which isn't documented in any paperwork. I just started my new job but they claim the number was given to them which is impossible. This is not a contact number for me and my job doesn't accept personal calls which they have been told the two times they have called and continue to call. I don't know who or what this company is and they didn't use real names I've never had any documents or what accounts they are calling regarding they didn't tell me I was on recorded line until he got anger and hung up. He also stated these accounts are on my credit report which when researching my credit reports nothing from "structured settlement is listed" this place is a scam and I don't want any more contact please stop harassing me and calling my job . No call no communication what would ever please leave me alone they are not legitimate. They tried to verify personal information which was wrong before even identifying themselves and the info provided was false.

I called to make a payment . Before I could make that payment John I believe his name was started in on me about fraudulent checks witch I did not do . I took out a loan and am trying to repay said loan . When I asked for a supervisor so I could get more clarification on this I was told I don't dictate who I talk to and was very rude and then hung up on me after he made a threat to red flag my account . I call back and finally reach a supervisor to talk to about what had just accrued with John and to set up my payment . He would not here what I had to say about what had just taken place and started talking over me and belittling me when all I'm trying to do is figure out what John is accusing me of and the threat that he made to me before hanging up . Supervisor hung up on me as well . I am no longer willing to work with this company . Send it back to *** as failure to pay and I will work with them .

These guys made a robocall and claim to be collecting a bogus debt. When I asked them to identify their company's legal name and address, they became hostile and hung up. Wildly unprofessional and rude. I asked for information on the alleged debt, and it appears they are buying fake debt from a CBD scam and trying to collect it. They were unable to identify a legal US entity involved in the origination of the debt, and instead provide several fictitious unrelated names. All of this stinks of a scam, and the company is either unwilling or unable to provide legitimate documentation of the origination of this alleged debt.

Multiple phone calls at all hours of the day without waiting for a response from customer. Calling my workmultiple times a day as well. This company has not sent me any documentation regarding what this is supposedly about. This company is very vague and demands personal information that I will not give them without knowing all the facts first. I want them to stop harassing my work and send me documents so I can make a decision about what to do next. The persons name is John *** I believe, with Structured Settlement his number is

Back in November I received notification of an account placed for collection by ***l Services after receiving no communication about the debt. Previous CFPB complaint was summited however they were unable to locate this said company. A new CFPB complaint has also been filed as of today. In doing research I was able to locate contact information for this debt by Structured Settlement that shares the same address with ***l Services. I spoke to reps and the company agreed to a "Pay for Delete" of the mentioned account. On November 19th the payment was complete and posted to my credit account. On December 2nd I called to ask about updating the information with the credit bureau, to which they said it would be updated, and they provided a letter ( attached ) showing the account had a zero balance. As of today 12/17 the account still shows active with a balance due. The company reported updated information on 12/15 showing a remaining balance thus reporting information to the Credit Bureau in which they knew to be false.

Structured Settlement calling from *** has repeatedly called when asked to stop and have no further contact unless being served with legal paperwork. "Matt" has consistently misrepresented his role in a legal matter. He refuses to give me his last name, an address to send mail or legal paperwork. Also wouldn't tell me the name of the attorney he works with and what state they are licensed to practice law. Rude from the start and I had to resort to calling 6 times to get one simple answer. Breaking the fair debt collection act must be a requirement to work there.

These people call every day and tell me I have a debet with lend nation. Ok fine but it's with lend nation not these people. I have never received anything saying that I owe this debet or anything from Structure settlement saying they own the debet. I want them to send the debet back to lend nation and I'll take care of it. Structure settlement needs to leave me a lone and stop bothering me.

John *** who states he is with Structured Settlement called my job and was horrible! He did not believe me when I said I had no idea what this was in regards to and I had not received ANY documentation. Something about a check that didn't clear over two years ago. I asked them to provide me information on the debt and I was happy to look at it. He just kept saying he has sent this previously over x amount of times. That was not helpful. You cannot call someone and demand 700+ dollars and not provide details. He told me I lived in a garnish-able state and he would take me to court and I had to pay all his legal fees. I offered to provide my attorney information and he REFUSED IT! Said my attorney was not going to pay it for me? Who says that if they work for a legitimate business? I need all communication to STOP unless it goes through my attorney or email. No contact to my employer and I need the requested documents on what this account is even in regards to and how I can dispute it.

This company claims to be a debt collector however is the most unprofessional people I have ever delt with. They will constantly harass you as well as lie and get mad and literally just hang up the phone in the middle of the conversation. I will not continue to deal with there bullying lies or harassment. I tried to be civil to resolve my account now after speaking with someone on the phone at the Complaintsboard.com this company sounds like a major scam fraud which could explain the behaviors. They not only call form random phone numbers but they use multiple addresses that don't even match what the Complaintsboard.com has on file. They will call and harass you say what they want and if you say anything they hang up on you. Major red flag there alone. How they are speaking is illegal and I don't understand how they aren't being investigated further. I am no longer comfortable with talking to these people as my legal rights were violated as a consumer. Please investigate this further to save others from the bullying and lies. I am no longer even comfortable speaking to these people at this point as it has become unlawful and don't follow the laws of a debt collector.

Recieved a phone call from this number, not stating they were a debt collector until after I called . And telling me they have my place of employment and will now be closing my account and taking legal action against me. I offered to do a payment plan but couldn't set it up until after my shift was over. Was treated very rudely and told me they was just gonna close the account then. I have not even recieved proof from the original creditor. They have contacted family, friends, and my place of employment. Please quit calling if you are closing the account.

Structured Settlement I've supposedly been paying structured settlements over the last 2 months for a loan from ***, which I did have

I've supposedly been paying structured settlements over the last 2 months for a loan from ***, which I did have. Recently however, I did have a debt collector scam that almost succeeded so I switched my debit card. I've been updating website payments for some, or asking for hard copy letters of debt validation, otherwise. On 3/18, Matt from Structured Settlements called me from the number [protected], and left a voicemail telling me to call [protected]. I called the given number to discuss and request the hard copy of the debt validation before continuing payments. I was given over (never told I was being transferred or sounded like I had been) to Scott, a collections manager . As I requested a hard copy, Scott sent me an email (attached below) with the debt validation letter (also below). I still requested a hard copy of the document before proceeding, out of concerns. Scott started to raise his voice and saying why would he have to since it's the same thing, and that he did not have to. I hung up the phone, because I will not deal with someone once they get aggressive. I looked over the pdf and checked my credit report to see that structured settlement has not been updating my credit report to reflect my balance either which now puts more concern on my behalf.

Structured Settlements collection left a voicemail saying that i owed money for a product i never ordered leaving a threatening message they would report me as not paying a bill with one of the Credit Bureaus thus hurting my credit rating. When i called them Donna answered and again threatened to damage my credit rating, when i tried to defend that i am not going to pay for something I didn't buy she said she would report me and then hung up. I called back and spoke with Robin, same argument same result. I then called to speak with a manager and he was very rude and treated me like a criminal, i told him I always pay my bills and would not be coerced into paying for something I didn't buy apparently on line he tells me. I have never spoken with such rude and disrespectful employees that i spoke with, i guess they feel everyone they deal with is dishonest. I feel that they are nothing but a scam business preying on senior citizens. I may be old but i am not so easily fooled. This company needs to be investigated and be put out if business for illegal activities and phone harassment. Very upset with their insinuating attitude. I realize how hard it must be to police companies like Structured Settlements but i hope a complaint to theComplaintsboard.com can have some effect on their practices in the future.

Structured Settlement Received call at place of employment from debt collector calling themselves Structured settlement

Received call at place of employment from debt collector calling themselves Structured settlement. John King called 2 times asking for me. I called the 888 number provided to speak with John King. I informed them that they cannot call my place of employment. John King laughed at me and said "it's not up to you". I got angry and told him it was and I hung up the phone. I do not want any kind of contact from this company to either myself, my family or my place of employment. I am fully aware of how this works. If they cannot provide proof that they bought the loan agreement and the contractual repayment obligation and not just a screenshot bought for pennies on the dollar then I refuse to have any contact with them of any kind. Also, after reading the other complaints against this company all pretty much saying the same thing, it is apparent that this company is not conducting itself in a professional manner nor are they following the rule of law. I want an investigation done on this company and its practices. Regardless of debts owed you cannot bully someone like this company does. Then, when someone stands up for themselves and says this isn't right and you can't do this, they either laugh at you or yell at you. This "company" should not be allowed to continue conducting business this way. They either need to follow the rule of law or be shutdown.

Structured Settlement I was contacted by structured settlement continuously regarding an account that was sent over to them

I was contacted by structured settlement continuously regarding an account that was sent over to them. After hearing from a relative that this company had contacted them, I called and had payment plan arranged. They called and was not able to get through due to being sick. After I was able to get in contact with each other, I was talked to in a very rude, demanding, and demeaning manner and was being accused of fraud and writing bad checks from an account that was registered to myself. After getting rude back with the agent, I asked to speak to a manager, ***, who I was then spoken to in the same rude & demeaning manner that the previous person had done. During the back and forth conversation with the manager, I was told that he was going to take a personal interest in my account and was to be sure that they were going to reach out to HR of my company and to get them involved in the matter and later hung up on by the manager. After calling back and having to speak with the same manager, as I was told that there is no other manager that he reports to except the owner of the company and refused to give out any information on who that was, I requested that my calls get QAd by the company and to be contacted back with an explanation as to why I was being told that I was committing fraud. I do not want Structured Settlements to contact anyone of my friends, relatives, or work associates regarding this matter other than myself.

Structured Settlement lost job Dec 19 2019-no interviews held until recent-had to charge back last payment of 186.40 to pay electric bill

lost job Dec 19 2019-no interviews held until recent-had to charge back last payment of 186.40 to pay electric bill. try to explain but didn't help Got fired from my job Dec 19, 2019 and was able to make the payments until May hit. With Corvus virus no one was doing face to face interviews much less telephone even though continue emailing resumes and mailing to jobs available that I qualified for but no luck. When May came around my electric got cut off and I had to have the 186.40 charged back so I could continue living in my home and have access to a computer and phone. I tried explaining this to Tammy and she wanted to know if I could make the 186.40 payment today which I told her no because I do not start my new job until Jun 24, 2020 and it will be 2 weeks from there that I will get paid. She said there was nothing she could do and will turn the recording over to my bank about the agreement I set up. From her tone I knew that I couldn't come to an agreement. So she threaten to send my account out and probably have the whole original amount of the american web loan to be paid even though I had paid in 1081.54 and only have 186.40 left. I don't understand why such a company can violate the Corvus agreement that President *** asked for about giving legency to people on bills and such especially when that person has in good faith paid the amount up until May and needed the funds to live and operate. Further more I don't know why Structured Settlement calls my cell phone I don't look at my cell phone daily or even every couple of days because I am not "glued" to it and I truly use it for emergencies and my land line needs to be used.

Structured Settlement I received multiple threatening calls on my work phone which is an emergency telephone line

I received multiple threatening calls on my work phone which is an emergency telephone line. When advising John or Bob K whatever he is going by this week he informed me I'm not above the law. He began the attempts to belittle me and irritate me with insulting comments. Saying he pays his bills and that I committed fraud and wrote bad checks. Also began the threats about garnishing my wages and asking to speak to my supervisors. It's amazing how people like that exist going around talking to people like they're garbage and trying to scare them into paying a debt. When I asked to speak to a supervisor he informed me "it doesn't work like that". He also left a message for the chief of police at the police department where I work threatening to garnish my wages again. I set up a payment arrangement with them recently for $599.36 on April 29th and May 27th. Then I thought to myself I'm not being bullied by a company like this who tries to intimate and threaten people just to make a buck. Maybe change your tactics and treat people with respect. People go through hard times and I was out of work for a while due to an injury. I have no problem resolving this debt but not with this company. Send it back to the original creditor and stop calling me, and my work. Close this account in your office and mark it as fail to pay. Send back to American Web Loan. I will contact them and handle it directly. I don't want Mr. K or a supervisor to contact me any further. I will not speak to this company any longer. My supervisors were advised as well. Everything this company does is against the FDCPA. They should no longer be in business. I will reach out to the original company.

Structured Settlement debt from *** claimed I still owed I received a call stating that I owed a debt to ***

debt from *** claimed I still owed I received a call stating that I owed a debt to ***. I had loans off and on with them for a while. The person claiming to be Susan from (structured settlement, NV) said I owed the bill. As I am trying to wrap this around my brain as she said it was in 2018, I remember a loan that I thought was paid when the business shut down in 2018. Im trying to explain this to her and she called me a liar basically every time I tried to comment and she would talk and scream at me. I finally said the address they were using was not my mailing address and I had not received any emails as she claimed. She hung up on me as she said she was going after my wages.. I called the number back which was an*** number and got her again. I'm trying to explain that I had a lot going on with my sick husband and that he died a little over a year ago. And that I needed to look this up and investigate it. she said "we all have issues and to quit using my dead husband as an excuse." And that I had until next Tuesday the 9th or she would go after my wages. I said he is not an excuse, he died. I never curse, but I made an exception called her a much nicer name than she deserves and I hung up.the harassment was so unnecessary. She showed nothing but disrespect from the beginning, She threatened me unmercifully. I am 66 years old, widowed and working 4 jobs to try and pay his expenses. Next I called the *** number, and got the *** office. They said it could be a hoax collector, but said I did owe the bill. I did a reverse lookup number online and the person's last name with that land line, if it wasn't a phisher is ***. I've never been talked to hateful in my life. And never have I been forced to call someone a name. She and the ompnay need to be shut down. This abusive behavior needs to end.

Structured Settlement I have asked them several times to stop contacting me at my job and "John K***" has failed to do so

I have asked them several times to stop contacting me at my job and "John K" has failed to do so. I am unable to take personal calls at work and they never stop. After calling my personal number, he called my office and asked for me, when told I was unavailable he asked to speak with my payroll manager. When I was able to do so, I answered the phone understandably upset that he would not only attempt to call me at work when I have asked not to be contacted at that number but when I was unavailable to speak as I have stated before he attempted to go around me to speak with my manager. He was extremely unprofessional, rude and spoke to me like a criminal who didn't understand the consequences of defaulting a loan. When asked to speak with his supervisor as he did to me to determine a route for solution he refused and continued to belittle and harrass me. I am not entirely sure how this company expects people to want to work with them when they call threatening the only livelihood they have to be able to take care of said debt. He continued to talk over me when I asked repeatedly to speak with someone else, he said "oh now you want to talk about arrangements, I am not going to help you anymore." I was asking for proof that this was a reputable company as obviously I cannot afford to just give someone my debit card just because someone is bullying me by calling my job. I had set up a payment plan with them before over a year ago and the bank I had at that time flagged it as fraudulent and I have since closed that account. "John King" insisted that I was attempting to defraud them by writing bad checks? I would like for my employer to stop being called and for an account resolution due to me being harassed at work and them breaking the law. By law they have to stop calling my employer when I asked and they have failed to do so.

Structured Settlement I was contacted by a company called Structured Settlement regarding a charge that they said I was going to be going to collections for

I was contacted by a company called Structured Settlement regarding a charge that they said I was going to be going to collections for. This was for a free sample that had an option of becoming a subscription if I chose to continue it; but I instead chose to close the account prior to being charged or mailed any additional items. I was first left a threatening voicemail from a generic "Mr. B" who said he was reviewing my account as part of an audit, and that if he did not hear back from me he would refer my account for additional action. Then noted after leaving the callback number that it was for a debt collection. I called back to inquire on what the debt was, and a different woman answered who immediately knew my account without having to look up any additional information and provided the details. I noted first to her, and then to the processing representative that this voicemail and callback were the first I had heard about having an outstanding debt at risk of going to collections. The first representative immediately transferred me to processing; and after providing information to the processor she immediately hung up on me without acknowledging my note for the record of this being the first I heard of an outstanding debt. I believe this was a scam, and am disputing the charge with my credit card provider. I need for the client - not Structured Settlement - to provide me with an actual invoice explaining the outstanding debt, as well as provide me with a method of directly paying them, before I am comfortable moving forward with this transaction. I also want to note that since I still am not fully aware of the outstanding debt (outside of being told by "Mr B") that I do not believe this is a legitimate charge. It has been over a year since I got this sample, and so the client reaching out to a settlement company - and said settlement company reaching out to me now - makes this even more suspicious.

Structured Settlement I got a phone call from this company and I called back

I got a phone call from this company and I called back. Not knowing who they were because they weren't the person I took the loan out with and the number came up as "potential spam" I got threatened to go to court and to have my wages garnished. I asked for them to send me the contract between myself and this company and lo and behold, they don't have one because I didn't take it out with them. He got mad because I was asking for the contract, which I as a consumer have every right to do to make sure calls asking for money are legitimate and for whatever reason that set him off to where he threatened to hang up on me and not work with payment plans based solely off of that question. He told me three different names on the phone and I got an email from another, so there is no uniform for the people you are talking to. I have epilepsy and I have lost my job twice because of Covid. They called my old place of work, family members and have disclosed information that has no right to be told to anyone else but the account holder. The man belittled me the ENTIRE time down to tears because life hit me hard and things fell behind during Covid and he liked to point out "I pay all my bills when they are due", okay clearly you haven't ever been put in a position where things take precedent over the other expenses wise. I moved three times within the time I took the loan out so things got lost in the mail, I never got an email from these people and whatever letter they "sent" me never made it to me even with my forwarding addresses all coming to where I live now. They had my email address but didn't send me any correspondence until now and with threats. I don't ever want to deal with them again and will happily have my contract go back to where I originally had the loan through to pay off but I will never deal with that company or those people again. I have attached the "agreement" I signed but clearly there is no signature from them or me.

Structured Settlement I arranged a payment arrangement with Structured Settlement which was supposed to have seen an amount of $90~ dollars drawn from my account

I arranged a payment arrangement with Structured Settlement which was supposed to have seen an amount of $90~ dollars drawn from my account yesterday + a processing fee. I saw the rejected payment from my bank as I only had $2 in my bank account total. I received a call from a debt collector shortly afterwards who I'd arranged the payment arrangement with originally. When I set up this payment arrangement, he first called me asking "what's going on, are you out of money, just dodging your bills or..?" I'm paraphrasing but he did accuse me of dodging my bills. I informed him that I was a debt collector and supervisor for 7 years and that it is a violation of FDCPA guidelines to accuse someone of refusing to pay their bills or dodging their bills. He said he meant to just see how he could help, so I let it go. Then it came to setting up the payment arrangement. I asked him point blank what the minimum payment his company would allow me to make was in order to set up a payment arrangement. This is another trick I learned from being a debt collector. I asked this knowing he must be honest with me. Eventually he point blank told me it was what he was offering which was a payment over $100, I said I can do one more payment than that and he agreed, thus proving he was misleading and dishonest in what he said, another violation of proper debt collection practices. So now we get to my rejected payment on the arrangement we'd made, and I told him I only had $2 in my bank account, but I could make the remaining 2 payments a week delayed. He refused this arrangement, said our arrangement was null and void and said his company would pursue me for the full amount. I said fine and planned on filing this complaint anyways. But then they attempted to run my card twice again after that conversation on 02/24 and once today 02/25 which is opposite to a null and void arrangement and it's entirely excessive to attempt to run a card 4 times and 3 after a cancelled arrangement.

About Structured Settlement

A structured settlement is a type of financial arrangement between two parties, typically a plaintiff and a defendant in a legal case. In this arrangement, the defendant agrees to pay the plaintiff a certain amount of money over a set period of time, rather than in a lump sum.

Structured settlements can be an attractive option for both plaintiffs and defendants for several reasons. For plaintiffs, receiving payments over time can provide more financial security and stability than a lump sum payment, which can quickly be spent or mismanaged. Additionally, structured settlements are often tax-free, providing even more financial benefit to the recipient. For defendants, structured settlements can be less expensive in the long run, as they can negotiate a lower overall settlement amount than if they were to pay the entire sum in one go.

Structured settlements can be established through a legal process called a settlement agreement or can be created through negotiations between the parties involved. Once the structured settlement is in place, the defendant will make periodic payments to the plaintiff, typically on a monthly or annual basis.

The specific terms of a structured settlement can vary widely, depending on the nature of the case and the needs of the parties involved. For example, the settlement might provide for payments for a fixed number of years, or it might provide for ongoing payments for life. The payments themselves might be fixed or variable, and they might be adjusted over time to account for changes in the cost of living.

Overall, structured settlements can be an effective way for plaintiffs to receive financial compensation for damages or injuries sustained in a legal case, while also providing some financial stability and security. At the same time, defendants can use structured settlements as a cost-effective way to settle legal disputes and limit their long-term financial liability.
