I was pushed to sign a one year contract with this facility which is ok and is my fault. The problem is before signing your contract the staff have to tell you all the terms and conditions you should know re your contract, in my case I was not told anything important. Few months after that, I needed to cancel my membership for medical reasons and I tried to explore the option of account freeze but the manager was completely unreasonable in her requests and she was pushing me to make payments till the end of my contract even if I am not using the gym or cancel membership and pay extra fees. I asked to proceed with cancellation and to my surprise I found that there is a 99$ cancellation fee that nobody told me about before. I mean you should be informed about these things before signing the contract. I complained to the manager that her staff did not tell me about that condition and it seems like she doesn't care or actually it is their policy not to give people info in the beginning just to get them sign. This is a kind of fraud and my contract should be considered invalid under these circumstances. Please note that in the agreements we sign there is no clear mention about the cancellation fee they are claiming.

My other concern is the terrible customer service they have and it looks like they train people to be rude to customers. After submitting a written request to cancel my membership I received voice message from the head office stating exactly the following "Your cancellation request was denied and we will charge you till the end of your contract which is August by the way". I don't know what they are trying to do here but if someone is saying they are cancelling their membership then they need to do so especially if they have good reasons, but this company is just caring about getting money out of our pockets even if they are not providing any service. Now, they are forcing me to pay the cancellation fee or make payments till the end of my contract even if there is a medical reason that prevents me from going to the gym.

I didn't even receive an apology for such a treatment and I wonder how this facility is still in business

This happens to me as well, we need all together to fight for it. unbelievable customer service after you signs in the contract. it's night mere to go throw cancellation even you move out the city.

We are going through that nightmare now . My wife, sister and sister in-law fell for it as well ... Customer service is very rude I would commit suicide if such person was in my daily life honestly!

This happened to me, too, in Spay Lady West Edmonton Mall. The staff, named Ute, repeatedly told me that I can enjoy a 2-week free trial and if I decide to cancel within 2 weeks I will be refunded. I was there just twice in the first week and I decided to cancel. I emailed Ute and asked for cancellation and refund and she replied me in a rude tone that I've used the gym twice and there is no refund for $46 which they charged my credit card. And I'm still not sure how much they are going to charge my credit card in coming months. It's a total scam. Beware of Spa Lady! They smile and tell you all kinds of lies to get your credit card information and then they show their real face.
