I worked with WIllyam through Society Mortgage. First off I read some of the complaints here about the USDA loan process. I had some of the same frustrations, but I asked Willyam about it and he took the time to explain that the government has very steep expectations and he wouldn't have to ask me of certain info if it were a traditional loan. With that being said, Willyam was great through the whole process. Though the USDA loan is difficult to get through, he got me through the entire process with relative ease. This is my first home and I'm glad that Willyam was able to help with that.

Financial company delayed closing process. Left the file open for two weeks with no activity. The Friday before closing decided they needed additional information and were unable to give clear to close. Get the information to them and then they come up with they are having issues with verification of employment as well as the home owners insurance quote. This was all after the process had been in place for over a month. Contract has since expired and they still have not closed the file. Makes me wonder if their lending practices are ethical? Lack of responses and timelines is unacceptable.

Daniel "Dani" A., my loan officer, has the best customer service I have ever experienced. I felt so comfortable speaking to him. He answered any questions I had and no question was a dumb question. He made my first time home buying experience awesome. Yes I got frustrated at times with the process but in the end everything worked out perfect. Listen Dani needs a raise because he was AWESOME! It was one guy that wasn't as friendly but I can't think of his name. He was dry most of the time I spoke with him. I would still call Dani even when he had passed the ball along in the process and he was still very helpful.

Worst transaction of my career so far. Loan officer missed debt to income in the initial application, and it was not caught until 3 days before closing. In the midst of the process, they fired the processor we were working with, who missed quite a bit of paperwork. Constantly asked for documents that had already been submitted. Loan officer and new processor dodged phone calls and never gave a straight answer when asked a question. Because of their lack of communication and knowledge in lending, our clients were not able to close on their house until 2 1/2 weeks late. Buyers looking for mortgage company: please use a local lender!

As we all know looking for a new home and the whole process could be hectic especially, as a first time owner. I closed on a condo in December . Since day 1 of my housing search Jack Shanholtz was with me to guide me through the whole process. He was very pleasant and helpful with very important cues, that helped me go through the whole process from start to finish together with Chris McNamara. The team from this company (CREFCO) from jack to Chris and Ruby that worked on my mortgage were very understandable and very kind to work with. To start your mortgage application process, ask for Jack and you will get to know the rest of the crew.

I didn't even use CREFCO and they impacted me. My house's buyer used them, and they were so inefficient in their operations (their admission), that despite the contract being initiated a month prior to closing, they still were unprepared to close and delayed the closing by TWO WEEKS. All due to inefficiency. Because I was in a multi-state move, this cost me personally an extra $2k out of pocket in storage, temporary living, and rate lock fees. AND I WASN'T EVEN their customer! The actual customer also incurred similar expenses because he had to find temporary living too. So, do yourself a favor -- choose from one of literally hundreds of other lenders.

This company was a nightmare to work with. As a realtor that has been in the business for over 5 years I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company. We were supposed to close on September 16th and did not close until October 30th and had zero communication or reason why we were delayed for 6 weeks. I was extremely disappointed and the only reason this entire sale went through is because the seller and buyer were patient and just sat and waited even though they had no idea what was going on. No response from the lender when we would check in besides "Underwriting has it" for 6 weeks! Please look elsewhere for a loan company so you can actually close!

Buying a home is such an intimate and personal process. Something that you put your children in for safety and lay roots down for a stable future. Tamea Bowman understood exactly what I needed and was looking for. This can be such a grueling process and she kept my spirits lifted on a daily basis. She is fighter and will help you with every single step along the way. Her knowledge made me feel more confident during this process and I felt my hard work that I do everyday in my life was in good hands with her. This has been a total nightmare as a seller. This lending company found more nit picky ways to delay the selling of our property. After stating that closing was near, they declined the loan until some costly repairs not specifically mentioned in inspection. As that was being done, they then demanded that the home had to be paid for, and title work had to be accomplished before they would lend. Even after that was accomplished, they demanded that the warranty deed be approved by their lawyer before they would finally approve lending, a total of 90 days later. The additional work, title work, and delays cost us, the sellers an additional $40000 up front just to get property ready to sell for their approval. I would definately look around for a more reliable lending company before settling on this group.

If you are not in a hurry to move, than this is the company for you. We are working on our second extension and praying that the file is moved from underwriting before it expires. This is my first home and the whole process has been horrible. The beginning was great. I was able to get any and all paperwork to them immediately but still have not been able to get a closing date yet. I have spoken with other lenders during this time and I am being told that this is not normal. I understand that these are difficult times and that things are different, but there is no honesty or clear direction from anyone. Even my realtor stated they will be telling their clients to not use this company. They have other clients who put in offers after us and are closing before. If it was not such a difficult process I would be taking my business elsewhere.

I would like to infinitely THANK ***.! He was outstanding from the first contact to the very last moment of closing. Myself and my wife are both in our Mid-20s. Have had an extensive and complicated employment history, and yet he always helped us with providing us with knowledge, he was transparent, and did not ever ghost us. I could email *** or call with questions day after day and he always and I mean ALWAYS answered with such a positive attitude. Even when we got into the complicated part of closing he always managed to instill positivity into me. I could tell he put in the work in front and behind the scenes. Listen I could not be more clear, he will do everything he can to help you not only be approved for a house but he will be 100% honest and straight with you. He will not lie to you. He always told me what to expect. And even when I would get frustrated he never did and had patience. Great communication and after all most importantly he Made mine and my wife's dream come true.! Second, on not such a good note.. This process was painstakingly exhausting. Our first initial contact, *** seemed helpful and knowledgeable at first. Over the course of the following weeks, our experience was not so good. Had to resend information multiple times, we were misinformed about the out of pockets costs or not informed at all until last minute. At a certain point we started working with a Senior loan officer, *** Once again, another let down. Previously completed items once AGAIN had to be redone, information was not retained from previous agent, and out of pocket costs kept going up and up. Closing date came up, and due to *** and *** inability to communicate, we were delayed on closing. Finally, after contacting the agents supervisor and explaining the issues, we closed 4 days later. Would NOT recommend working with *** NOR *** But Brian C. went above and beyond. Your company needs more individuals such as himself.

If you are anything like me and you are a first time home buyer who has no clue what they're doing, you're probably not sure how to navigate the process or if you're making good decisions along the way. I was completely clueless about the real estate market or the mortgage industry. All I knew, was that I wanted to buy a home instead of renting, and I needed to relocate for work all in a short time frame. I wasn't even sure if it was something I could do, or what kind of mortgage I would qualify for. I contacted Consumer Real Estate Finance Co. and was put in touch with my loan officer John *** Once I was connected with John, he was my point of contact from the beginning of the process to the end. From our very first conversation, he was easy to talk to and answered all of my questions as I tried to understand what I needed to do to make my ideas a reality. John explained every aspect of the process to me in ways that I could understand and kept in frequent contact any time I called with a question from that point forward (even on a weekend). With John in my corner, I felt confident that I would be able to accomplish my goal of owning my first home. Buying a home is a messy and stressful business at times, but John was so patient with me when I was stressed out or when things weren't going exactly as I had imagined. He kept me well informed and calm, got me a fantastic rate on my mortgage, and made the process as easy as he could. If you're looking for someone down to earth and an absolute breath of fresh air when the process gets overwhelming, John is the loan officer you need. All of the team members at CREFCO were very personable and made me feel supported during this intense milestone. I do not think I would be in my dream home right now if it weren't for the assistance I received from John and CREFCO. I would recommend my friends and family to use CREFCO in the future and if I ever make any future home purchases, I will be calling John

Please stay away from this company. They will mislead you through the entire process. I got preapproved in September took my pre approval letter and actually started building a house. My family and I was super excited about to process. We did everything that my loan officer *** said. I even referred friends and family to the company. Well come to find out I am suppose to close on my house March 17 and I was qualified for FHA. I could not figure out why would you pre approve me for FHA in the beginning and have me go through the entire process with putting down earnest money I mean it was devastating. The state on their website that they go down to a 580 do not fall for the misleading information. INCORRECT. I got pre approved due to covid that was the excuse he gave me in January. He said ' Well due to covid now you have to be at a 640 to qualify ok well in that case Conventional is 640 as well so maybe they going up to a 680 now. So now i am in the process of finding a lender that will pre qualify me my score is well above a 600 but not a 640. In my opinion Don't qualify people and then change a couple months later . This is not the way to handle business. Oh not to mention I was told to get out of student loan deferment and get on a plan to show where it was reporting to my credit report which was 232.00 a month which I did as well. Doing these things was suppose to help me. I will not refer another person to this program and I will try to save as many people as I can from this company because all they do is pull your information and give you a quick pre approval letter to have you happy at that moment. It is not worth the stress but I will still close on my house in March that is a promise. Please do research first before applying with this company some reviews are good and some are bad but do your own research because in the end the stress is not worth it. Take the bogus ads off the website because you do not go as low as a 580 if you did I would not have a problem closing for FHA. I also actually called as well and spoke to another loan officer and that loan officer told me that its really up to the lenders discretion. So you really pick and choose who you want to work with. OK!

So, I went to Society Mortgage for a prequalified mortgage application. They said they would only do a soft check on my credit, but that's not what happened. They did a hard inquiry and it messed up my credit score. I gave them permission for a soft check, but they still did a hard one. An employee named *** did it and now it's on my credit report. Don't trust these guys.
