resolved to the customer's satisfaction
on august 26, 2008 i dispatch a 17” x 13” x 14” box with shoes and clothes to my family in mendoza, argentina. the company has picked up the package in my house.
when the personal on this company is contacted for information about shipping packages to argentina, they said the delivery time is about 35 to 45 days.
october 1, 2008 (35 days after shipment) i have contacted vanesa at [protected] to verify the status of the shipment and she said “the box will be delivered in about 20 days because the ship has been delayed on free-port”, she said next time please call monica the person in charge at [protected].
october 16, 2008 (51 days after shipment) i left message to monica in order to have information.
october 17, 2008 (52 days after shipment) i left another message to monica. after a couple hours i have contacted vanesa and explain the situation, she said, “ the box will be delivered between 10/24/08 and 10/27/08. at that moment i have ready another box to my family with a lot of presents for christmas, as i receive the good news that my first box will be delivered on a couple days, i scheduled a pick up for my second box for october 24, 2008.
october 24, 2008 the truck came to my home and pick up a 18” x 18” x 28”, i have paid with check, the driver give me an invoice and left quickly.
once in my home i have checked the invoice and note the following things:
1-the part with the company name has been cut but still an address and phone numbers, which doesn’t match with the other invoice, i have.
2- the measurement of the box was missing.
3- the amount paid is missing too.
4- on terms and conditions shows the name of other company “ expreso argentino”
immediately i have contacted the driver (hopefully his number was saved on my cell phone when he have call me letting me know that he arrive to my home) and he said oh sorry because i didn’t have more invoices i give to you an invoice from my old company, but don’t worry give me your e-mail address and as soon as i arrive to the office vanesa send you an invoice thru e-mail”.
november 4, 2008 (70 days after shipment i have contacted monica and she said “ the ship arrives at port today” i said what?? why the persons in this company lies???
obviously i didn’t receive the invoice for my second box and i give the complaint to her, she ask me for my fax # and said “ i will send you today”.
today is november 13, 2008 (79 days after shipment) and of course my box was not delivered and i didn’t receive the invoice for the second one.
i have contacted monica and she said, “ i don’t know when your box will be delivered” and about your invoice “you need to call vanesa” of course when i call the phone wasn’t answered and i left a message.
at this point the reputation of this company and the quality of their service are very, very questionable? some day my boxes will be delivered?? that’s my question.
