Property Management Company
Myself, my husband, and 2 sons were looking for a home to rent in Murrieta Ca. I found the house listed at 22747 Montanya Pl, located in the Copper Canyon area of Murrieta. The rent was $2400 monthly. We wanted to see the house. The agent told us that we could go and see it on our own, we did. She gave us the lock box code. Saw the house, loved it. Called the agent from the house and told her we liked it. Okay we leave and lock up the house. The next day she says, when the workmen came in to do whatever, she said that we didn't lock the door! I told her that this was not true and yes, we had locked it. I checked it myself after my husband placed the lock box back on. She swearing that squatters were in the house... I should have taken heed to this warning that this was kinda weird. We do our app and get approved, they make us pay a double deposit, fine. Our credit was so, so, due to us owning our own home and doing a loan mod. Anyway, we move in. First day, the neighbor tell us that we live right next to a SOBER LIVING HOUSE! I thought, well this is terrible! We can't park in front of our house, they have their 2 big white vans parked there. Then we can't go in the backyard, they are on the balcony looking at us and trying to talk to our guests. We had a small gathering for a holiday, these sober living people were so vulgar and rude. They kept looking over the fence then getting upset when people didn't want to talk back. Then cursing and throwing stuff over the fence. I am sure that this property mgt company knew about this sober house next door, they should've told us. Then we could have made the choice to rent that house or not. We had to break our lease and move. The owner kept ALL of our deposit but $113. We are considering taking them to court. There was no damage to the house, tool tons of pictures to prove this. I am just so hurt that the owner was such a jerk. I wanted to warn people about this house, especially if you have children. DO NOT WANT TO LIVE NEXT TO ABUNCH OF DRUGGIES AND DRUNKS. People coming and going all hours of the night and sitting on your porch. Sorry this was so long.
