Shamrock Roofing and Construction was a pleasure to work with. The team members, including their project manager and our roof inspector, made the entire process simple and easy. They stayed in constant communication on all updates and were fabulous to work with. In all honestly we lucked into finding Shamrock Roofing and Construction by going on a walk at night with our dog and seeing a sign of theirs which we called. We couldn't be happier with the fortune that gave us via their work and the quality that was done to update our gutters, roof, and air unit. We would recommend them to everyone and have recently recommended them to family and friends."

This is the worst company that you could pick to do work for you. They lie and miss lead you to get you to sign a contract and then they have you. They did property damage at my house and informed me that some property damage was normal and in the fine print that was on the back of the contract that I signed says that. They did not repair or replace the items they damaged. What a way to do business. Please beware of this company. My suggestion, if they chase a storm in your area/neighborhood, tell them to go away and find another company to do the work for you.

Shamrock Roofing and Construction and the Hamiltons with Shamrock Roofing were an absolute pleasure to work with. The Hamiltons inspected my roof in 95 degree weather while *** told me about Shamrock's services and quality of workmanship. They handled my insurance claim from start to finish and also managed the roof replacement through the entire process. I could not be happier with their dedication to ensuring I was a happy customer. They went above and beyond to make something as big as a roof replacement feel as easy and care-free as possible. Kudos Hamiltons! If you think you have issues with your roof, ask for *** and the Hamiltons...period.

We had 4 companies give us quotes for our roof replacement. Shamrock Roofing and Construction from Shamrock was by far the most professional and most responsive. We made the decision to go with Shamrock and will highly recommend them to others, the roof and new attic venting was done in one day and looks phenomenal. After getting our permission they showed up on Sunday to complete the project by replacing gutters and downspouts. Our whole project was complete within 1 week of signing the contract. If anyone wants a company that will show up when they say, complete the job quickly and respond to your needs, Shamrock is the one. Ask for [name], [name] do you right!

We highly recommend Shamrock Roofing & Construction, from Kansas City, MO. Our house needed the entire roof and gutters replaced due to hail damage. We contacted quite a few roofing companies, but Shamrock Roofing & Construction from Kansas City, MO stood out amongst all of them. Our Project Manager, John Smith, was a very professional, well informed and very personable individual. He explained everything step by step, was very thorough and patient, while we decided on color, etc. The crew came and work very efficiently, did not damage anything, and picked up all the debris. If you are looking for a roof company, look no further than SHAMROCK ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION! Those guys earned ALL their FIVE STARS, and our experience could not have been better! John and Jane Doe

I did not have a good experience with these guys. I called them because my roof was leaking into my home. They came out to examine my roof. They took pictures of the roof, and showed me damage from a hail storm with dents in the roof all over in certain spots and said I needed the entire roof to be done. The insurance company came out to examine the roof and took pictures. The insurance company's pictures showed no hail damage. The two sets of pictures did not match. I myself got on top of the roof and saw that there were no dents in the roofing that matched Shamrock's photos. My claim was denied. All of a sudden, I could not get in contact with their organization and they would not return my call. I believe they showed me and sent pictures to the insurance company of another roof and presented it as mine.

I can't say enough good about our experience with Shamrock Roofing and Construction! They helped us through the process of replacing our roof due to hail damage, and it was our first time as homeowners replacing a roof; so we had lots of questions and lots to learn about the process! All our questions were answered and everyone who helped us was super friendly and patient and took every question we had seriously. The work was completed professionally with great attention to detail, also with the clean up which was great. Our yard was left cleaner than when they started! Our new roof looks excellent and we feel good knowing it's repaired and installed well! I would highly recommend and will continue to use Shamrock in the future for our roofing needs. I highly recommend Shamrock roofing in [city name]. We were referred by our neighbor who also had a great experience with Shamrock. We needed a new roof and Shamrock worked directly with our insurance company and took care of everything start to finish! The process could not have been easier and our new roof looks great! [Name of representative] was very professional and responsive throughout the process and the roofing crew was extremely clean and efficient. Shamrock even took care of submitting for the recoverable depreciation from our insurance company for the deck, fence, and playset that I had stained myself and discovered an extra $250 in coverage that my insurance company had missed. Shamrock also was able to complete the combing of my air conditioner which was damaged by the hail. We will definitely use Shamrock roofing again should we ever need to!

Beware of Shamrock Roofing..after a minor storm, they convinced me to have an inspection. The representative from Shamrock Roofing was adamant that he found damage. AND he insisted that I be present when adjustors were here, to point out damage. GUESS WHAT? The representative didn't show up and says he was overbooked. AND I called him a week earlier, per his instructions, to give him a heads up when adjustors would be here. When SHAMROCK was first here, I didn't see how that it possible at the time, from the storm that we had, that damage could have occurred. However, the representative insisted that a claim be filed AND that he saw damage. The adjustors just left and said the roof was in good shape, with no damage. If you want to stay in business, SHAMROCK needs to be HONEST with potential customers. The representative embellished nothing to file a claim. This really irritates me as it wasted my time and the time of two professional adjustors.

BUYER BEWARE. I do not recommend Shamrock Roofing and Construction. After 20 years in the insurance industry and working as a consultant with homeowners who find themselves in precarious situations with contractors, I am compelled to write this review. This company lacks scruples, transparency, and professionalism. Please evaluate this company with the ComplaintsBoard.com for both Missouri and Kansas; and read through how they resolve client concerns and subsequent complaints. Their actions and responses are consistent. Even, this review section has suspicious 5 star reviews. All of which coincidently occur after someone posts a 1 star review or has lodged a formal complaint, and first names/letters match individuals that work for the company. Seriously, how many people with the first name John, had a roofs done with in 5 days of each other? Recently, I conducted independent evaluations for 3 different customers of this company. In each case, their contemplated prices changed, dates were missed, unqualified subcontractors were employed and performed subpar work, and they skirted ethical, professional and legal boundaries to the detriment of their client. Please read any contracts, get copies of all agreements, and ensure that the scope of work is clearly expressed in any agreement and/or amendment if you choose to do business with this company.

I signed a contract with Shamrock to re-roof my home's roof which was damaged by hail. The job they have done does not meet the requirements of the contract. Because, first, a part of the contract is skipped. And second, the job they have done nullifies the manufacturer Warranty. For the roof coverings(shingles) are not installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. The entire roof is done wrongly. It should also be mentioned that installation of roof coverings in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions is a requirement in Platte County, MO. Code R905.1 Roof Covering Application says: "Roof coverings shall be applied in accordance with the applicable provisions of this section and the manufacturer's installation instructions." Shamrock's roofing crew also have damaged my property. I filed two claims about these damages with them. Shamrock has not responded to any of them.

In our contract we acknowledged there could be some unavoidable damage to gutters and siding during roof installation. The contract also stated that Shamrock would do their best to prevent such damage. We were left with damaged new siding, new gutters, stucco and some wood trim. In addition there are tar stains to concrete and on the home itself. We do not believe Shamrock did their best to protect our property . There were two major actions they could have, and should have, taken that would have resulted in much less damage. Use of ladders with stabilizers, rather than leaning ladders directly on the house and gutters would be one. They also should have postponed the work until a less windy day . Installation was on December 23. Wind speed,ranging from 22-25 MPH with even higher gusting speeds, should have ruled out any installation,especially one on a high roof. We do not feel we should be left paying the full cost of their negligence.

02/10: Based on meeting with the representative, their assurances and website advertising, contract signed.
02/18: Roof installed. Family emergency, went to house 2x for updates but roofers didn't speak English. Yard/House not protected. No tarp anywhere. Large items of damaging debris in shrubs, lawn, trees, large planks of wood rested on siding and windows. Have photos. Asked the representative about step-flashing where wall meets house, reply “There are different types of flashing." Asked about warranty for new shingles and was told it would be mailed to me, which later found out is not true. D/T holes placed in siding asked about coordinating new siding placement with step-flashing placement. I would pay for new siding installation. Was told siding was to go on first. Later researched order is step-flashing, then siding. Noticed chimney flashing to be lumpy, uneven, secured? Gave review and received call from the company.
03/07 The representative came out to “assist me" but was rude and dismissive. Conversation held by him focused on siding. I asked him about kick-out flashing, the actual piece, not the rigged metal. Reply, "Do you want us to ruin your siding more by putting in more holes?" I did not attempt to engage him further or provide clarification. I asked him to leave, as it was obvious he was not present to listen/help. He said he is good friends with the owner and they would put a lien on my home. I found this comment inappropriate and bullying. Please note: I have never said anything about not paying.

In August , our roof and gutter were damaged in a storm. Shamrock Roofing and Construction, located in Lenexa, KS, was hired to replace our roof, guttering, and downspouts. Unfortunately, during the replacement process, Shamrock employees accidentally damaged the cool-deck around our inground pool. Prior to the work, we had informed the Shamrock representative, ***, about the recent installation of the cool-deck and requested that they take precautions to avoid any damage. After the roof replacement, *** inspected the damage and agreed that Shamrock should repair it.

However, by October , our guttering still had not been replaced, as the east and west sides of the house were mistakenly left off the invoice. We provided all the necessary information, but by January , the guttering was still not replaced. At this point, I reached out to ***, the Project Manager at Shamrock, who assisted us in getting our guttering and downspouts replaced.

Throughout January , I received several emails from Shamrock, confirming that the cool-deck had indeed been damaged by their roofers and assuring us that they would take care of the repairs. However, when our gutters were removed, they were dragged across the cool-deck, causing further damage. On January 19th, ***, the painter for Shamrock, contacted us and scheduled an appointment to assess the cool-deck. In an email dated January 29th, Mr. stated that Shamrock had given him the go-ahead to repair the cool-deck and that he would be over on either February 1st or 2nd to complete the repairs. He then rescheduled the appointment for February 3rd but ultimately canceled without providing a reason. As a resolution, he offered to recoat our entire cool-deck, but failed to follow through on this offer. I have text messages documenting these interactions.

Subsequent appointments were scheduled by Mr. for May 1st and May 4th. However, after that date, Mr. blocked our text messages and ceased responding to our emails and phone calls. On May 12th, *** informed me that he believed *** had already completed the repairs, expressing confusion when I requested further repairs on the cool-deck. However, on May 15th, I received an email from ***, another project manager at Shamrock, who once again confirmed their agreement to fix our cool-deck and claimed that the work had been completed. In the same correspondence, they also mentioned that we had signed an agreement releasing them from responsibility for any damages, contradicting their earlier acknowledgment of the damage and commitment to repair it.
