Sent my dad to the clinic after having gum bleeding problems for the whole morning, he took an afternoon nap and woke up panicking as the bed is full of blood. The clinic is at Rivervale Plaza which is on renovation, the clinic signboard shows 'Now Open' at the moment. The assistant at the counter initially kept declining to tend to my dad, she claims that they cannot operate without medical appointment. I emphasized on the urgency and managed to convince her to get the dentist to have a look.
The dentist came out frustrated and ask my dad a senseless question: ' How you expect me to tend to you when the clinic is renovating?' From what was observed, there were contractors having a look at the ceiling only at the waiting area. The surgery room is partitioned and no renovation is seen at the point of time. My dad pleaded and the dentist insisted he will not tend to my dad despite the contractor/ foreman offering to halt their work so that my dad can be treated. The dentist then started railing out: ' WHO ARE YOU TO TELL THEM TO STOP?' After that a heated argument started out, had to drag my dad out of the clinic to seize attention elsewhere. His blood pressure shot up to 180 compared to 140, he told me he was disappointed at how such unethical dentist can exist in our society.
We went next door to seek help from Lifelink Medical and the doctor was kind enough to inspect and direct us to a nearby clinic with no charge.
On reaching another clinic is Serangoon North, the dentist asked my dad when was the last time he visited the dentist. My dad had went 6mths back on similar problem to Sengkang Dental Surgery, he had 2 tooth extracted for decay. Based on the dentist, he mentioned my father's teeth were all having decay and is not possible to not notice it based on the previous visit.
Sengkang Dental Surgery prides itself as having a high standard of patient care? (doubt so)
Sengkang Dental Surgery has a high moral standard. We keep ourselves on complete ethical behavior and promise total responsibility and accountability to our patients (no ethics/ moral)
Sengkang Dental Surgery advises patients to make appointments for treatment so as to allow us to devote our full attention to each patient ? (Yes now we know, no appointment no talk and have to listen to your frustration)
This is the worst clinic in Singapore to go, poor service and no ethics.

My mother went to this dental clinic as she had a shaky tooth (incisor). The dentist, Dr Teo, suggested to have an x-ray taken. Without any explanation, he wanted to go ahead with the jab at her gum. My mother stopped him and asked for an anesthesia so that the jab would not be painful. Dr Teo only applied very little and immediately gave her a jab before the anesthesia could take effect. My mother was in pain but she tried her best to ensure it. Soon after the jab, Dr Teo again immediately extracted her tooth forcefully until my mother screamed in pain. Dr Teo paused a brief moment but his facial expression showed it all. He smirked, shook his head and criticised my mother for her exaggerated reaction during the attraction of her tooth. My mother explained that the pain was unbearable and excruciating. Dr Teo continued to say that my mother's scream created a bad impression of his clinic and his customers who were waiting outside at that time. This dentist is clearly unsympathetic to his patient's pain and agony. That was the last visit to Sengkang Dental Surgery at Rivervale Plaza. Never again! Deeply disappointed with the ethic and professionalism of the dentist!

I am a blue CHAS card holder so i am entitled to 2 free scaling and polishing session in a year. I requested for scaling and polishing. For the first time i went there, the doctor (dr teo) only did scaling and polishing for my front tooth (nothing for the teeth on my side). I thought he was careless so i went there the second time to do the cleaning again and the same thing happened again. He wasn't sincere in cleaning thoroughly. Furthermore, when i receive the bill, i realised i was charged for $220 for just 15 minutes inside. It turned out that he did many more services without notifying me in advance. I think he did it because it can be solely covered by CHAS. However, i think its basic courtesy to request for my opinion and not exploit on the CHAS system just as he wants. Will not recommend to go there.

I faced similar problem, I only wanted the tooth Infront of wisdom tooth to get removed but the doc he insisted me to do surgery and the other side of my tooth is having same issue I removed it at other clinic without surgery or any problem he kept sales push me to do surgery to remove my wisdom tooth I insisted no I do not wish to have cut in my mouth than He just took x-ray and injection before I agree and violently put those needles n x-ray thing into my mouth which hurt my tongue when I feel pain n made "ah" sound he push my teeth, scolded and insult me, I don't understand in the first place if he can't remove my tooth like what I wanted why did he even injected me for? For x-ray can be understand might be wanted to explain but I already made myself clear no cutting. anyway in the end I insist Not to countinue anymore I paid for the consultation, injections and x-ray yet I cannot take my x-ray pic back while I do it at other clinic they DO give me my x-ray pic since it is what I'm paying for. This clinic I strongly DONT recommend.

Faced similar bad service years ago and thought we were the only one. Looks like that's not the case. Similar to what the two others have mentioned, the dentist is impatient and have a bad attitude. Does not even have any ethics at all. I do not understand why the clinic is still in operation. Wasted money because the treatment they provided was subpar, or even bad. I do not know if anyone will read or see this, but really, here's a warning, DO NOT go to this clinic if you do not want to be treated like an animal.

Omg. yes, it's such a bad place to go to. please dont go to that dental clinic for any procedures, the dentist just screwed my teeth all over and now i have to spend tons of money to get them fixed else where. but for cleaning and polishing wise, i think it's okay to go there. apart from those, NEVER EVER GO THERE. plus the dentist gets annoyed really easily, i was paranoid because of all the pain i got from having fillings done up, and he will just keep saying it's fine, it's okay when it's totally not. + he nags at me when i question about things.

& i do agree that he doesnt mention about visible decays. i went to Hougang polyclinic dental to have a check, and the dentist there mentioned quite a few problems with some of my teeth, and the fillings wont even done properly. end up i have to get root canal treatment done up too, because my nerves were damaged from the drillings of the filling procedure.

The attitude of the dentist is real bad. I went to the clinic and was told that they do not accept walk in. But after I told them my conditions on pain from my wisdom tooth they agreed to take a look. After 45mins wait, I enter the room with my sister accompanying me. The dentist was standing far at one corner without assisting me to the seat or imitating the conversion. I started describing my conditions with my sister asking a few question. The dentist actually stop her and wanted her to leave the room saying that she is disturbing his consultation. It was some kind of rude, isn't the dentist need to clear our doubts before any removal of tooth. He did not actually give much consultation thru out only me asking question on if I should remove my tooth etc. (so am I consulting myself?) And he actually charge $990 for removal of one tooth. I will not recommend this dentist to anyone that requires serious consultation. And I would like to emphasis his attitude was real bad.
