Seelye express service Does not employ certified mechanics but has their underqualified lube techs perform mechanic work, damaging customers vehicles Seelye Express service, a lube shop that employs lube techs (not ASE certified mechanics) took on a job on my vehicle that was more complex than what a lube tech should have been doing. Inevitably they caused significant damage to said vehicle and refuse to pay for damages. The damage includes major damage to rear axle that is estimated to cost around 4000 dollars to repair because it must be replaced. Management at seelye express continues to question and deny their responsibilities for said damages. With management being extremely disrespectful and offensive during the entire situation. I took the vehicle to a separate auto shop that does employ ASE certified mechanics and these mechanics agree with my analysis of the cause of the damage. Axle bearing failure caused from the lube technicians' negligence, the failed axle bearing created chunks of metal within the axle housing that got rolled around while driving, this damaged the inside of the housing beyond repair. Seelye express service shop refuses to accept responsibility. Disagreeing with the analysis of the actual professionals (the ASE technicians). I have personally witnessed the lube technicians at seelye express performing services on customers vehicles that should only be performed by certified mechanics (EX: brakes, rotors, suspension component replacements, axle seals like in my case, etc.), there is no notice anywhere in or on the building notifying customers that the people that will be working on their vehicle(s) are NOT certified mechanics even though their service offerings include jobs such as brakes that lube techs should not be performing and only certified mechanics with the proper knowledge should be performing. Given that this is the case seelye should be paying for all damages caused by their underqualified employees because they are choosing to offer and take on these jobs that again should only be being performed by qualified certified mechanics.
