Detail of Events
On Tuesday, October 31st, 2023, I purchased tickets to Blake Shelton (Order # 6P2-8QZ8V5M), totaling $1123.84. I used the code “NEON24,” as it stated in my email from Blake Shelton’s alert system (see Gmail- Tickets go on sale soon! (Blake Shelton)).
Shortly after, I found better tickets and “swapped” my order # 6P2-8QZ8V5M for order # 6P2-7QZNMGR (totaling 914.64). Because these were “swapped,” Seat Geeks did not charge me, as they used credit from my original transaction.
Again, shortly after, I found better tickets on SeatGeek (outsourced through TicketMaster). I then “swapped” my order # 6P2-8QZ8V5M for order # 6P2-7QZNMGR (totaling 792.68). Because these were “swapped,” Seat Geeks did not charge me, as they used credit from my original transaction.
Finally, shortly after, I found better tickets directly through TicketMaster. I returned my tickets for order # 6P2-8QZ8V5M to SeatGeeks. This left me with a full credit of $1123.84 on my SeatGeeks account.
In my conversation with SeatGeeks customer service representative, “The,” on 11/6/23, I was specifically told, “You should be all set to go, and I’ve already applied your $1123 Promo Code to your SeatGeek account. When you want to use it, just make sure you’re logged in to SeatGeek with [protected]@gmail.com and browse away!
Directly following this chat with “The,” I purchased tickets to Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks. I was indeed logged into my account, [protected]@gmail.com, and upon check-out, there was NOT a promo code available (as, occasionally, there may be a button to click to apply credit). Due to my conversation with “The,” this was not a concern to me because I was assured all I needed to do is log-in in order for the code to be applied from my account.
When the code was not applied and my Affirm loan was charged 1080.40, I immediately reached-out to SeatGeeks customer support. I was connected to “Fidel,” who only told me that because I did not apply the code, the credit did not apply. I told Fidel about my conversation with “The,” and that I never received any type of code to copy/paste, and Fidel insisted that the “no refund” policy was applicable and I, therefore, could not return my tickets.
In the days leading up to the Billy Joel / Stevie Nicks concert, I contact SeatGeeks customer support chatroom four separate times, desperate to receive help and a clear exception of their policy because it is in no way my fault that the credit on my account did not apply. Not one of the representatives was willing to make an exception. They repeatedly told me that my only option was to sell the tickets through SeatGeek/Ticketmaster.
Due to this situation, and the fact that the tickets did not successfully sell on SeatGeeks/Ticketmaster, I have lost $909.43 on Billy Joel / Stevie Nicks (as I sold on Facebook for 350 total). I now have 1123.84 in credit on SeatGeeks that should be refunded to me. I want my full refund of 1123.84 of credit promised but never given.

Claimed loss: 909.43

Desired outcome: Refund of 1123.84
