Safe Home Security review: unauthorized funds withdrawn from my bank "after" I made a payment over the phone.

I called Safe Home Security on 11/24/2015 to make a payment. Payment was due on 11/15/2015 so I was within their 10 day grace period so as not to be charged any late fee, which is $10.00. The amount I paid was $135.00. The actual amount owed was $134.97. Recently I have gotten into the habit of checking my online bank account frequently. It is 11/25/2015. This morning I noticed that the $135.00 had been processed. I then noticed another payment made to them for $5.00. All processing fees are included in the monthly or quarterly statements. I called them twice today and had to leave a message both times. No one called me back. Further, they are supposed to be a 24 hour service. I heard; "We are currently closed". I wish I had been checking all along to see if any other UNAUTHORIZED monies has been taken out. $5.00 or $50; It was unauthorized. I have read all the horror stories and complaints made against this company and can certainly relate to most of them. I also tried to cancel the contract because my husband was not getting to work and money was very tight. So I called them and explained that it was either " pay them, or not eat". All I heard was how sorry they were to hear about our bad luck, but payment would be expected or late fees would apply. I told them I understood that in breaking the contract, I would have to pay a % of the balance due. The agent said, no; you can break the contract but you will still have to pay every penny, which was around $1400.00 at that time. I still have one year to go. I know I have to send a 60 day notice of termination in order to keep SHS from extending the CONTRACT. However, I noticed that the address on the Internet and the address on the envelope are not the same. One says Cromwell Ct and one says Cronwell Ct. One of the complaints was that the letter of termination kept being returned to sender. I want to be well ahead of the game with this one. This company is obviously royally screwing many consumers and it's a shame. I will be sending a letter to the Attorney General as I understand he/she has initiated a law suit against SHS. Yes!
