SA Home Loans review: Bond insurance

Good day

I claimed for a geyser leakage recently. The insurance sent out a team to assess and perform the corrective work which was to replace the geyser. That work was performed on the excess fee which I had to pay R750.

Now as the contractor performed the job, there was a need to cut the ceiling, now I was told that for the ceiling to be closed up and the lighting which they had to rearrange as found, I needed to pay an additional excess fee of R750 on the very same claim, I don't understand this, now they don't want to close up this hole and to also replenish what was done by themselves on the kitchen lights. Personally I find this to be totally unsavoury, untidy and can't live like this at all. How else were they going to install a geyser without working on the ceiling now that the damaged ceiling is apparently my issue?
