My furnace stopped working cuz of a bad limit switch. I called Russett for help and they said it would be $84 for every half hour plus parts. The dude was here for 34 mins and replaced the switch. They charged me $268 and when I asked why, the dude said "that's what it is". I asked again and he said the same thing. I didn't argue cuz I thought there was a misunderstanding. The next day I called the office and asked for a refund but they said no. I'm mad cuz they usually treat me right but this time they ripped me off. $268 for 34 mins and a $20 part is not cool. I hope they call me back and fix it.

Got my AC fixed by Russett Southwest on 05/12 'cause it was low on Puron (R410-A). They came after 4 pm. My unit needs 8.75 pounds of Puron. The tech (***) said my compressor was bad and there was oil all over the base of my outdoor unit. He saw oil near the high and low pressure valves, so I needed to replace my compressor. That's a lie 'cause I checked the unit the day before and there was no oil leak. Another company checked it in the morning and didn't mention any oil leak near the compressor. They said there was a small leak possibility at the evaporator coil 'cause the subcooling reading was at 4 degrees F. They charged $420 for charging Puron. For a minor leak like this, it usually takes between 1/4 to 1 pound of Puron to bring the subcooling reading from 4 degrees F to 10. But when I got my invoice, they used 6 pounds of Puron. That's outrageous! Talked to the service manager (***) and he said it's normal 'cause he has 20 plus years of experience in AC. That's why I'm filing this complaint.
