us job assist Gave them $3000.00 for a monthly residual check

I was told if I could work from home and make some money. I believed (stupid mistake) them and gave them $3, 000.00 out of my savings and now it has been so long, I probably can't get any money back. They sent two company names via email for me to choose one that I would get a return on. This was supposed to be me getting a percentage every time this company used their credit card machine. This whole time (first of March) after repeated unanswered phone calls and occasionally talking with someone, they would tell me "It's in the mail but I wouldn't receive anything." They have put me off and in my stupidity was giving them the benefit of the doubt hoping to see a check in the mail. I received the first check for $32.22 in the middle of May. Yesterday I received another check for $67.45. I have not done anything with the checks because I now know this IS A SCAM and I want to cancel everything. I have spoken to them and told them I wanted to cancel everything and they "promise" to call me back. Which they don't do. I don't know what else to do - just forget it? Please, if you could prevent them from taking money from someone else. I might add the $3, 000.00 came out of my accout the week after they called me.

I have heard of US Job Assist and what they do; I have found that they started almost over a year ago and are in the business of finding job placement for people interested in gaining supplemental or full time income by becoming involved in merchant services. I looked up Merchant Services on eHow.com and discovered that merchant services and processing is actually a lucrative business to be involved with. I was informed by US Job Assist that they would provide me with the basis tools to start my own business - such as websites, training videos, testing and certification, etc. - and for these items I was expected to pay a sum ranging from 200$ to 400$, depending on my level of involvement and my ability to be a sales representative. I was also informed they offered additional services if I chose to purchase them to enhance my job placement. Again, the prices for such additional items ranged from 250$ to 3000$ - and they offered a guarantee to provide actual merchant residual accounts on my behalf. I have participated with US Job Assist and found what they have to offer is credible and sustainable. They actually have a merchant acquisition department which only requires an investment of my time and personal effort. I have asked US Job Assist to help me in expanding my financial portfolio by acquiring additional merchant accounts on my behalf - US Job Asssit provided me with direction and guidance to achieve this goal - my complaint is that at times I have to leave a voice mail instead of talking with an actual person - however, they do respond to my calls, but sometimes it is bothersome not being able to speak to someone when I want to and I have my calls returned later that same day, or, on occasion, the following day.
