Service Plus Home Warranty claimed closed twice with out repair or replacing

Policy #: 787002760washer claim that is what is stated in contract you should be replacing not prorating the washer for wear and tear-false advertising just giving me 280 for washer when your contract states other wise this is not fair my claim was put in oct 2022 it is now Jan 2023 and still no washer resolution called me stating they will give me a check for 280 which is ridiculous I expect a better resolution her name was Isabela first she said 200 then she heard my reaction and raised it to 280 per 3 -8 week waiting period for check will equal another waiting period for 2 more months this is not fair and totally unacceptable your policy states you will replace the washer not prorated I need a washer not money to go buy one you are suppose to replace my washer as stated by contactor not give me what you feel like it for it not giving me even half of what I paid for it and I dont understand if this cannot be resolved correctly I do not want to continue this contact for breech of contact I have never had an issue before with any warranty company I plan to cancel this contract asap this is not a warranty company I would like to continue with

If I could give it - stars I would. The service covered on the customer portal clearly states plumbing. After notifying them that I had a plumbing issue in my bathroom they located a plumber after about a week. The courteous plumber saw my problem and then said he was to collect $75.00. I gladly paid him assuming he was going to fix the problem. He came back 15 minutes later and said the company denied the service. He apologized profusely but said his hands were tied and that he was going to reevaluate whether to continue with Service Plus as he felt that it was almost theft. I was unable to get a clear reason why my claim was denied. I'm washing my hands with this company, and June 1st will be my last payment.

Service Plus Home Warranty Not assigning service tech to repair furnace

Submitted service claim on 09/26/22 for repair on furnace. We were told when we purchased the warranty that they had service technicians across the country and getting someone to come out wouldn't be a problem.

Today I discovered my claim has been marked "CLOSED CM NTIA" and that means it's been closed no technician in area. They are pushing for me to find a service tech, get the repair pre-approved, pay the tech in advance and then wait up to 6 weeks to get my money back. This is what I paid a significant amount of money for.

I don't have the money available to have this repair done right now and wait to be reimbursed. That's why I put out the money for the warranty when I had it, so that when I needed a repair it would only cost me a service fee of $45.

I don't feel they are fulfilling their commitment to their customers.

Service Plus Home Warranty Payment not received

Service Plus Home Warranty requested that we perform service at 3 different locations. We followed all the procedures, given them full documentation of the bills, got authorization #s by Service Plus Home Warranty employees, we submitted all Invoices within 2 days of completing all authorized work. Its been 1 year since the work has been completed and no payment. We call every couple of weeks and they say the following:

1 the check is in the mail

2 check got lost in the mail and was going to send another

3 we need updated insurance copy (which was sent and updated)

4 the claim is under investigation

5 we need a drivers license (which was never asked prior)

6 we will call you back

7 Call back next month when checks are getting sent out

8 and lastly the most recent is we have to accept more service calls and perform the work before getting paid for the invoices that was already performed and authorized one year ago. Because with out accepting more service calls, our contract will be on hold and they can't process payments when your business is on hold.

Beware to any contractors or customers! Read that contract before you sign anything! If they treat the contractors this way how will they treat the customers after they already got what they wanted from you!

As for Service Plus Home Warranty if I lived in nj I would be stopping by instead of calling.

I have the same issue. I’ve been paying the premium for almost two years and my dryer broke in July of 22 and was deemed not repairable. I was told I would receive a check within 8 weeks. It is December now without a check. I have made several calls of inquiry to this company and their explanation is “there seems to be a hold up in our accounting department “. Also, consumers are not allowed to speak to their accounting department. I truly don’t understand why they remain in business. Their practices are unethical and they will not send you any expected warranty checks if you cancel your policy. It seems as though they are hoping policies will be cancelled by consumers before they have to pay anything! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHADY MESS!

I have a contract with Service Plus Home Warranty. They authorized a payment of $300 on 5/16/22 for a washing machine that was deemed non repairable. I was told it would take 6-8 weeks to receive the check. It is now 15 weeks and I still have not received it. I have repeatedly called them and they keep telling me that the check will be mailed out on the following Friday. I have threatened to cancel my policy but I'm afraid if I do I will never receive my refund. I am located in NJ, does anyone know if I showed up at their office in Edison NJ will anyone who can possibly help me be there?

Service Plus Home Warranty Payment not received

It was determined our dryer could not be repaired and we were offered a

"buyout of $350.00". That was done and approved on January 20, 2022 and here it is May 18, 2022 and our buyout has yet to be sent to us. They keep telling me it's being processed. I have called several times and have been told my concern is being escalated. After reading Google reviews I find we are not the only ones going through this. Also, they say they are open 24 hours/7 days and they are not.
