Safeguard allows all customers five full days to make their monthly payment before any late fee is charged. They also offer online payments and ACH and credit card payment plans, these convenient options should allow all customers to make their payments on time. Rental rates at all storage facilities are typically raised on an annual bases and have nothing to do with a customer being past due.

safeguard self storagemoney increase not in contract

This branch of safegurad storage increases their monthly rate by $16, and claim is written in the contract. They increase this amount after the first month of renting a unit. and I repeat its no where in the contract writeen that they will increase 16 dollars. I
woulkd like my information to be kept confidential. thank you for your time and hope to have some type of action taken upon this matter.

unfortunately i must say i was a former employee of this company and the above comment is inaccurate. the company does not have a key which opens any customers units but only the empty (unoccupied) units. in fact we are only allowed to lock you out of ur unit (so if u havent paid by a certain day u will not be allowed in) only suggestion be careful of who u gave/give ur keys to bc only they will be allowed in, if theft is an issue report it there is an intensive security system at all sites. otherwise buy a new lock if u cant get all 3 keys back from those u gave them to...

Use and Occupancy Tax is real. The City of Philadelphia charges Use and Occupancy Tax on all occupied storage space in the city and also charges sales tax. The storage businesses are collecting what they are supposed to collect and turning it over to the local municipality.

They certain do cheat you with the occupancy tax. The question is...do they actually turn in to the city?
