You are taking a payment for your services out of my credit card and I did not authorize it. I want you to stop taking payment out of my card. I told my credit card company not to pay anymore, but they said to try to work it out with you first. I have sent you emails and I have not heard from you. I can't find a number on this site to call you. But I will...

Int*idprotect Mntr Svc Unauthorized charge to Discover card

This company has charged 19.95 to my Discover Card which I did not authorize. It is impossible to reach them by phone. I have sent two E Mails to [protected]@intelius.com but my mails were just ignored. This is a fraud and I have no intention of paying for something I did not order. I have contacted Discover Card and they are investigating.

I am sorry to point out to all you people but if you would have read what you "did" sign up for, with the $.95 charge was a, and I will take it this from the right side of the screen where it shows what you ARE signing up for,

Order Summary
1. People Search Report $0.95
Identity Protect Discount. You saved $1.00.
2. Identity Protect Trial $0.00
Total $0.95
You saved $1.00

After your 7 day free trial, if you do not cancel your Identity Protect membership your credit card will be billed $19.95 plus tax where applicable and each month thereafter that you continue your membership. You may cancel anytime.

You DID sign up for the Idenity protect, you failed to take the proper steps in reading what YOU SIGNED up for. now please, take responsiblity for YOUR lack of reading. I have found this site and the deal that YOU signed up for to be legal. I in no way work for this company or anyone a part of it. But I will not stand by and have people bad mouth a LEGAL company offering a LEGAL deal, just becasue you feel that you can blindly click on something and not read what you are signing doesn't make them wrong or illegal. Why don't you go back and read what you signed up for and the PROPER way to get yourself off this list. YOU are going about this the wrong way and YOU need to go back and do the thing you didn't do in the first place...read. This is not the right way to go about this, the credit card company will NOT help you, the "Fraud Department" will not help you, NO law was broken. Please take the right action and drop these "charges" against them and delete your comments.

I have not been checking my credit card statements as I should. I was going through my statement to verify the automatic payments I had set up and noticed the IDPROTECT charge for $19.95. I do have Lifelock so the term IDPROTECT did not flag as unusual. I am presently going through my statements to see how long they have been charging me. I know I did not give them the authorization for a monthly charge.

I just got hit again from these people, after I called them and now they are taking money every two wks from my account. You have to cancel your card so they can not get anymore money. I am going to hire an attorney and start a class action law suit. This is BS. It is unfortunate that a company feels the need to prey on individuals . This company should be ashamed of itself. If anyone is interested in suing this company please contact me at Creativeatee@yahoo.com .

I also just got an unauthorized withdrawal for $19.95 on two different credit card accounts. I called today and the company stated they would refund both accounts. Today is Jan 27, 2010 after two weeks if accounts are not refunded I report to this form and hope you will help notify all scam forms to be aware of the third party scam on people search.

If you have used People Search lately check your account for the following
transaction { Description: INT*IDPROTECT }

Has anyone else? the format of the withdrawal is the same as INT*IDPROTECT. I had these same exact unauthorized charges. I kept all of my reciepts that i got for intellius.com and the phone records that i ordered. Never did it once say that it would charge my card for $24.95 or $19.95. After complaining and telling them my story they finally refunded the two charges. I believe they know that the customer did not authorize these charges and that's why they are so willing to refund the amound. Honestly this is the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen and their business should be shut down. How decieving can one company be just to make a few bucks?

Yes I got both of those charges, and was told that the $19.95 charge was non-refundable and for a service to monitor credit that was on a 7 day trial after a people search I did, and the $24.95 charge would be refunded back to my account. I was told that I would not be charged for anything else so we'll see. I know one thing I'll never use that people search again with there hidden charges.
