Greyhound Canada reviews and complaints
bus ticket purchase
In late November I purchased a bus ticket online .. realized the name was spelt incorrectly & called greyhound right away.. they said the easiest way to deal with this is to book a new ticket and they will refund the original ticket $...by sending me a check in the mail.. it is now the middle of March and I have not received my money I have been calling over and over again.. they have never offered any other type of resolution or offered to call me back .. nothing... it is just up to me to keep calling and asking for my money back greyhound does not care.. so confused by their lack of customer service or appreciation .. they have never offered to do something else to make up for this or to arrange for me to go into greyhound to just resolve this.
I am appalled and I will never use this company again
I was in Vancouver and on my way to Naniamo and wanted to go from Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Nanaimo. I approach the counter and purchased two tickets for $45.00 Canadian. I boarded the bus and we drove off to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. There were several seniors on the same bus. We arrived at the ferry terminal (still in Vancouver) and we were all instructed to vacate the bus, grab our bags and proceed to the ticket booth, the seniors had a few bags to carry and not very many others could help because we all had a few bags, which was the reason for taking the downtown to downtown service. We all dragged our bags and proceeded to board the ferry.
In Nanaimo we all had to wait on the otherside for the next bus to take us into Nanaimo, all the while dragging our luggage all over the place. It was a hassel for my travel partner and I and we both wondered what the seniors were going thru. What the heck did I pay $45.00 for? Hassels? Stress? Fatigue? We felt for the poor seniors who struggled with their luggage, I was angry to see the way the seniors were being treated, and felt helpless as I had my arms were full. In the long run it was decided by all that taking the public transit would have been way less inconvienient, less stressful, not to mention cheaper, it would have only cost less than $5.00 if we took public transit to do the exact same thing Greyhound charged me $40.00 for. We got out where the Public Transit stops and drops off their passengers. I am appalled and I will NEVER use this company again.
ticket refund
I recently purchased a bus ticket for my brother who is legally blind from vancouver british columbia to grande prairie, alberta however the ticket was never used due to my brother finding a ride on his own and so when i went back to get the refund of the ticket i was told to call a certain number because they could not refund the ticket at the bus depot where it was purchased so when i called they told me to go back to the depot where it was purchased and so with all the running around trying to get the refund the time lapsed on the ticket and now they say i cannot get the refund because the time lapsed on the ticket when they could have just given me the two hundred dollars the next day when i went in and so now i am still fighting to get the refund back so anyone going through this beware they will have you going in circles until the time lapses and they say they cannot refund it because it is too late. so with me continueing to fight for this i am informing everyone and anyone and making it known.
