Aspire Credit Card Complaints & Reviews

Aspire Credit Cardfailure to report paid in full

Years ago I fell on hard times and defaulted on several credit cards. I had no money to pay them so I stuck on the back shelf waiting for a time when I could take care of them. I finally was able to do this last year. All my cards had a $200 or $250 limit and with all the interest became $2500 or more each. I had 2 capital one and one aspire visa cards. I made arrangements to pay the compromised amount ($1, 600 each) for Capital One and paid those off then called Aspire. I tried to get the $2, 500 down a bit but they wouldn't budge. I had made a couple $500 payments so really I was looking for a reduction for the $1500. No Deal!! I already paid them 4times the amount charged on the account and still wouldn't deal. OK I borrowed money and paid the full amount. Aspire was to have reported the account paid and closed to the credit reporting agency within 90-days. It has been 1 year and they still have not reported. I called and was directed to the collection division. When I punched in my social the automation sent me to a collection agency that said I was not in their system. They told me to call someone else who said the amount was paid. They said to call Aspire again. I did that again and went round and round. I have yet to get someone from the company to fix this. My next e-mail will be to the BBB and Attorney generals office and the credit reporting agency and the fair credit act to make formal complaints.

Aspire Credit CardBeware of this company!

I have had this credit card for over 2 years. I have had nothing but problem's with this company. Every time I go to use this card I have to call them because they will not allow me to charge on it for no reason. I call them and they make up excuses as to why I cannot use this card. The first time I filed a complaint they closed my account because they did not update my information after I called them and notified them of my change of address. They said that I would have to pay off the remaining balance and re-apply in one year. I went to the corporate office and I spoke with a lady and she admitted they were wrong and she opened my account back up and gave me additional credit.

Now today I called in they said that I called them and told them not to contact me so they closed my account. I asked when did I call because I have not had any reason to contact them. They refused to give me any information about MY ACCOUNT! I was hung up on. I have been reading blogs about this company and many of consumers like myself have had problems with this company!!!

    Beware,
    Shayla

I just got this card and when I tried to make a purchase at Bed Bath and Beyond it was declined. I tried to use it on amazon and it was also declined. But it says I owe them $150.00 and I haven't been able to spend one penny on it. I would definitely say this card is a hoax.
