We recently had a Reichelt Plumber out to fix a leak in gas line. When the guy showed up he didn't even have the required tool to check. He was called specifically for that reason. He wanted to go back and bring but said it will be on our time and the mileage plus the $40.00 charge. Fortunately NIPSCO GUY happened to be around and he found the small leak. Reichelt didn't do anything except to cut a small piece of drywall to tighten a pipe per NIPSCO guy. After an hour of standing and doing nothing he handed a bill for $254.00. We had to use our credit card to get rid of the guy ASAP. Otherwise if you let him stay in our house any longer we may have to sell our house to pay these money hungry thieves. BEWARE of this unscrupulous company STAY AWAY.

July 2016. Called Reichelt to resolve 2 problems: leak in water line & zero cold water pressure in shower. Hubby had caused small leak in pipe by trying to repair situation himself & had already rigged it so that water would drip into shower stall instead of down between the walls. Plumber repaired leak w/coupler between pipes. No extensive repair required - no major tearing up of walls required. Didn't give us written estimate up front but initially orally quoted $950 for job - Plumber cut huge hole in shower surround (charged $65 for plate to cover it), cut hole in closet wall to access pipes ($18), changed shower handle & put up cheap chrome showerhead - charged $700 for those (didn't TELL us $700 cost upfront as we wouldn't have authorized), and we don't think we even NEEDED new handle as current one was working fine. We immediately REPLACED the cheap showerhead with the nice handheld shower unit we previously had there. We gave plumber a $25 online coupon, but cost magically ballooned up to an even $1000 after coupon. Lots of money but figured if it was totally fixed, it was worth it. Didn't realize hot/cold water was NOT fixed until tried to shower next morning and SCALDED myself with total lack of cold water in shower. Also discovered plumber had DRILLED RIGHT THROUGH wall from inside of shower stall. Not into closet, into bathroom wall - custom paint job, no touch-up paint. Hubby called company. We waited nearly a week for plumber to return and say they had NO IDEA what was wrong as we had cold water in rest of bathroom fixtures. Asked them what they would do about damage to our wall - Plumbing supvr. told us to CUT A HOLE IN OUR WALL AND TAKE THE PIECE TO PAINT STORE to have them match the paint. I said where should I cut this piece from? He said CLOSET. I told him CLOSET IS PAINTED WHITE. I am NOT going to cut a hole in my WALL to fix this myself! No other solution from them so now I am stuck repairing/repainting bathroom too. Plumber couldn't figure out why we didn't have cold water in shower, left & called later to give us quote of around $1350 for additional work (said they didn't know what was wrong & would either tear up our upstairs bathroom floor OR downstairs bathroom ceiling to try to figure out the cause but would NOT repair anything they tore up.) We feel we were cheated as we told them initially when we contracted them that the main problem was lack of cold water in shower stall in addition to leak. They ONLY repaired leak for $1000. When we paid the bill, we were led to believe EVERYTHING was repaired. Shower is absolutely unusable at this point unless we want to scald ourselves as there is NO cold water AT ALL. We were willing to pay them HALF as that is all they fixed but charge card company says we have to pay them all as hubby signed the payment receipt. We TRUSTED them, believed they REPAIRED the problem, but they took our money & left our house KNOWING that we had no cold water in the shower - they even commented on the bill (illegibly) that "Customer has low flow pressure on cold side" but they did NOT repair it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
