We checked in and left less than 30 minutes later.
Although there was a person at the front desk, guests were required to use a kiosk with a live remote attendant. During check-in, I was asked to provide personal information while standing in an open lobby with other guests present. The remote attendant was literally telling the front desk employee what to do, which made the entire process feel awkward and unnecessary.
The condition of the property was unacceptable. The lobby and hallways were dirty, with trash visible throughout. There was a cat roaming the halls and we also saw a dog wandering the property.
When we entered our room, every drawer and cabinet door was standing open. The room immediately gave the impression that it had recently undergone some sort of pest treatment or maintenance issue. The shower curtain rod was rusted and the curtain had been installed upside down. When my daughter took a shower, water poured onto the bathroom floor because the shower setup was improperly installed. She had to use one of our two towels to dry herself and the other to soak up the flooded floor.
The room was booked for four people, yet only two towels were provided. When my daughter asked for additional towels, she was told there were none available and that we could use the washer and dryer down the hall if we needed more. Being told to do our own laundry at a hotel was unbelievable.
At that point, we packed our belongings and left. There was no front desk employee available when I checked out, so I again had to use the kiosk. I explained that we were leaving because of the property's condition and requested a refund. I was told they could not assist because the reservation was made through Expedia/Hotels.com.
I've stayed in many hotels over the years, and this was one of the worst experiences I've had. Dirty property, poor maintenance, lack of basic amenities, and being told to wash my own towels was the final straw. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
Recommendation: Run, run fast.
