What's up with Puppy Find? I'm aware of the puppy mill problem but am mostly curious why they continuously run ads for 300.00 puppies for sale and THERE ARE NO PUPPIES! It's only a scam! I have contacted them several times and they either don't reply or send a lame e-mail that they're doing all they can... which is not the case. Please help me figure this out.Does the scammer run Puppy Find? Do they get a cut of the scam money? If not, why don't they take him off? They do a great job deleting negative comments from people who have purchased mangy, sickly pups!

:) - I am happy to say that after Puppyfind.com reviewed all my information about Danielle Wilson - Danielles puppy - they have put back my bad review. I have all documentation to prove my case. Hopefully this will help the next consumer to think twice before they deal with her. She has no honor, morals or ethics - and WILL NOT keep her word. she also has a website under ruff life puppys

I purchased a puppy from Danielle's puppys in puppyfind, a king charles cavalier who has some severe health problems including a heart murmer which is very bad for this breed and an eye problem that needs surgery. I have all of the back up of correspondence with her, we came to an agreement and then she broke off all contact. I also posted negative reviews that were deleted and i contacted support and have yet to hear back from them. Her name is Danielle wilson from Joplin, MO - and also sells under Ruff Life Puppies. DO NOT BUY FROM HER! She is deceitful and dishonest. I also posted my email address offering to forward all documentation to whoever wanted it proving all that has happened. She also has the nerve to have a pic of my puppy on her ruff life website. This person has no ethics at all!
Why does puppyfind not allow negative reviews? It looks like she is great but is not! do not use puppyfind as they do not allow honest reveiws!

I WOULD NEVER BUY A PUPPY WITHOUT A HEALTH CERTIFICATE. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? YOU CANT BLAME SOMEONE FOR YOUR NEGLIGENCE. I BOUGHT A PUPPY ON PUPPYFIND FROM PA. IT HAD A HEALTH CERTIFICATE WITH HIM WHEN HE FLEW ON THE AIRLINES. THIS WOMAN BRED A FEW DIFFERENT BREEDS, AND THE PEE WEE IS MY PRIDE AND JOY. HE HAS CHAMPION LINES ON TOP AND BOTTOM. A BEUTIFUL DOG. NOT A REJECT FROM THE POUND. IF SOMEONE ELSE DUMPED A DOG, WHY WOULD I WANT IT? I GUESS THAT I AM NOT THAT CHEAP. THE HUMANE SHELTERS KILL COUNTLESS DOGS ALL THE TIME. IF THEY WERE SO GREAT WHY DO THEY SLAUGHTER THEM?

Puppyfind.com is simply a digital pet store. They fully support the sale of puppy mills dogs by turning a blind eye. They immediately delete any negative reviews and then strong-arm you to provide copious amounts of documentation to defend yourself. I was under the impression that a review was designed to provide information, both good and bad. Not on puppyfind.com! After losing my beloved pet from the unscrupulous behavior of brokers (www.waggsnwiggles.com), my review was deleted from puppyfind.com and I was sent a rude email demanding proof of telephone calls, emails, veterinary records, etc. Can you imagine? These are hardly people that care about the welfare of animals. They simply want to protect their money-generating money base, the sellers. Shame on them!

I was awarded $36.00 for the lack of worming that the defendant's false advertised for the sale of my puppy, but not for the lack of veterinarian exam that was advertised. Per the Oregon Veterinarian Medical Association a rountine exam consists of written documentation that should have included a rountine heart check. Judge Victory Walker based her ruling on lack of any written documentation to support that the defendants had my puppy to a veterinarian for a routine vet exam. The defendants even stated in an email, after I purchased the puppy, that the vet visit was not specific to any one puppy. That is not considered a Vet Exam then. And what Vet doesn't keep a record of exams? Judge Walker stated that the defendant's ad didn't "specify" what type of Vet Exams I was entitled to? I have filed a Complaint with the Oregon Commission on Judicial Fitness and Disability against Judge Victory Walker because I feel my rights under Oregon law 646.608 1. (i) and (u) and my rights under the Consumer Protection Act for unfair trade practices has been violated. Judge Walker also refused my expert witness letters from 3 Licensed Veterinarians that stated that my puppy's heart defects would have been easily detected at birth, and Judge Walker also rejected all my letters from the American Kennel Club that showed the defendant's lies. I also had a witness take the stand to prove that the defendants lied to me in an email regarding the Sire of my puppy, etc. etc. etc. I'm hoping for a re-trial and this matter be handled by the Supreme Court. Please write to Oregon State Representative Paul Holvey in my support (Linda Barrow needs a re-trial). It's time to put an end to this happening to any other innocent consumers like me. I traveled 500 miles round trip for this hearing in Grants Pass Oregon (Josephine County Court) and Judge Walker's ruling of $36.00 was an insult to the Oregon Judicial System, in my opinion.

Oregon State Representative Paul Holvey is working on House Bill 2470 which will provide protection to consumers that are in my situation. It's like a puppy lemon law. Also, In my opinion, anyone that would NOT support this bill is probably involved in bad breeding, because who wouldn't support the protection of animals for their health and conditions ? It's time for Oregonians and Americans to start caring why so many sick animals are being sold to innocent consumers and then they are having to pay thousands of dollars in vet expenses. Also, share my story with your State Representative and have them adopt a bill for your State. Thank you Oregon State Respresentative Paul Holvey.

Don't deal with puppy mills. There are numerous rescues in Oregon where you can find a purebred. Stop supporting ruthless breeders.

Never purchase a puppy from people that will ship, etc. Go to the breeder, see the puppies parents. See the conditions in which the puppies were raised. So far it looks promising for legislation to be passed in Oregon to make puppy mills illegal. If you haven't done so already contact your representative in Salem.

Additional information on checking out breeder's...

GOOGLE THEIR EMAIL ADDRESSES TOO. THAT WILL GIVE YOU A LOT OF INFORMATION AND HOW MANY PUPPIES/BREEDS THEY ARE SELLING. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM BROKERS AND MASS SELLERS.

I'm now the plaintiff in a small claims suit for false advertising against these breeders for their sale of an extremely sick puppy to me. This case will be heard in the near future in Grants Pass, Oregon at Josephine County Small Claims Court. I will post the court date as soon as I get it. These breeders of Cave Junction have now moved to Grants Pass, per an investigator that I hired to process serve them.

My case involves false advertising and deception in their ads and emails that deceive me into signing their puppy selling contract(s), but under the Consumer Protection Act, the Unfair Trade Practices Act, The Animal Welfare Act and Oregon Statue 646.608, I should be legally and lawfully protected for their false advertising. False advertising is a crime!

Josephine County officials have not helped me, and they have been contridictory in their emails vs. their reports, and the Animal Control Officer that took my report was the Smith's neighbor in Cave Junction. This is a huge conflict of interest in my opinion. If justice isn't served then the Federal Government should look into my case. This case is a case of Consumer Fraud and I am the victim. I've alerted the proper law enforcement agencies and you should do the same if you are in my situation.

They have used names like Heavenly Acre Farm, Saved by Grace and advertise many different breeds. Again, my puppy had two heart defects, tapeworms, fleas, no AKC papers until we had an attorney write them a letter to register the litter (1 month later), extra large ears, and 7 extra teeth removed because he had too many teeth, and the breeder mentioned two different sires for my puppy after I purchased my puppy and stated, "It doesn't matter who the sire is". They only registered 3 of the 4 Miniature Schnauzer's puppies in my puppy's litter. I have copies where they have advertised as selling "Top Quality/Show Potential Miniature Schnauzer's", West Highlands, Champion papillions, chihuahuas, SNORKIES (Schnauzer and Yorkie mix), Yorkies, Labs, etc. etc. etc... and they advertise for other people. Buyers beware, because I was deceived.

As per the Humane Society of the US... Buying puppies over the Internet or from Pet Stores is not the best idea.
You may be supporting a Puppy Mill. Not ALL breeders who advertise over the internet are bad breeders but the majority are. Most puppies that are being sold in Pet Stores are coming from puppy mills too. The humane society's best advice is to get your pets from Rescues or the Humane Society. Puppy Mills are multi-million dollar businesses and there are over 10, 000 puppy mills in the US where many of the animals are living in inhumane conditions. These bad breeders are the one's ruining legitimate breeder's businesses and also causing so many health problems in our animals. Veterinarians are soon going to be the richest people of the US. Most veterinarians are very honest animal care givers, so I would hope that veterinarians would take a big stand against puppy mills. The cost of veterinarian care of a sick puppy can cost you thousands and thousands of dollars. It's time that the American people and veterinarians help put a stop to what is happening.

Oregon Representative Paul Holvey is suppose to be presenting a puppy mill bill for Oregon in January 2009, and I'm hoping to testify at the next legislative session because of my puppy and the Consumer Fraud I endured.

In my opinion, if a dog breeder sells multiple breeds they are only breeding for the money and not the betterment of the breed. Google the breeder's phone # and you can see how many dogs they are actually selling over the internet. If they are selling multiple breeds I would stay away. Also, many are not advertising their phone #'s but requesting that you contact them first. If you feel they are hiding their information I would be leary of that too.

A good breeder will have perfect accountable records of everything including vet exams, and they should give you copies of the vet exams prior to your purchase. They will have the AKC paperwork already completed. They will always have wormed their puppies. They will be flealess because the Sires and Dams would have been treated. Once you pick up your dog and care for him you cannot emotionally return the dog. Every decent judge or decent person knows this. The puppy becomes a member of your family. Ask for the vet records first, and YOU also make a contract FOR THE SELLER TO SIGN that states if anything major happens in the next 2 months that they are responsible for the continued veterinarian care as long as there are two of the same vet's opinions. Make sure you have all the vet exam paperwork days before you pick up your puppy. A good breeder would feel confident that they are selling a healthypuppy. Also, do not pick up your puppy under 8 weeks old. They are not weaned until at least 8 weeks old.

The AKC does not certify any breeder. The AKC will inspect kennels if there are complaints, but they do not back breeders or certify the breeder's kennels. Don't let this advertising fool you. Also, just because the AKC can inspect a kennel doesn't mean that more puppies are not being hidden in cages somewhere else.

I've learned a lot of what to do and what not to do when purchasing a puppy. Hope this helps so you do not fall victim like I did.

If any bad breeders are reading this... I did not deserve to be put through what has been done financially and emotionally to our family, nor did my puppy. I am a huge animal lover and innocent victim that fell victim to false advertising DECEIT.

I posted a complaint on puppyfind.com of a breeder out of Cave Junction and Grant's Pass Oregon. I was sold a very sick dog. She posted vet exams and worming and after I had the dog said "No specific exams were done and she failed to do the worming". My puppy has had heart surgery and had fleas and tape worms. She was allowed to remove her ads with my review of her and then repost a couple of days later. I tried to put my review on her website and it stated "You've already posted a review for this breeder". I contacted puppyfind.com and they never answered me.
