Dear ERA Property services,
We would like to report an agent with very poor and shady practices (Jian Wen Lee from ERA Property: http://www.propertyguru.com.sg/agent/lee-jianwen-216760) with who we had a very difficult and stressful experience. The agent has no integrity or basic worth ethics and can turn an already difficult situation into a nightmare .
Basically we signed a contract in a flat (Waterbank at Dakota, 70 Dakota Crescent, unit #15-06) which was never fit for purpose from the day we got the key back in July to yesterday where we ended the contract. During all this time we have been unable to ever meet the landlord despite the situation.
Basically the flat was infested with cockroaches and despite treatments and too many investments we did ourselves (we should never had!) on professional cleaning, pest control, curtains deep cleaning, patching holes, repairing floors etc...the flat at the end was never fit for purpose and we have never been able to move into the property. But we lost over $7k and only managed to get our deposit back while the agent advertised straight away the property again and even used some of the work we did to his benefit such as mentioning the deep Air conditioning cleaning we did!
My wife is pregnant and it's been the most stressful month we ever had in our life with sleepless nights and now we have to find a property within one week only...
The agent is being reported to ERA, his Management company and we are working on filing a complaint with the CEA (Council for Estate Agency).
We want to make sure no one of you ever have to deal with anything like this since it can lead to an unbearable amount of stress.
So be careful if you ever see that property, the condo itself is nice but some units on building 70 seem to have a cockroach issues and this flat #15-06 is one of them, really not ideal if you're expecting a child particularly with a very corrupted agent:
