The OP may not have to worry about not being greeted if she does what she claims with the video. Most businesses frown upon filming on their premises without prior approval, so Walmart may just ban her.

"Why would Walmart have a problem with me videotaping the employee without her permission when the videotape me without permission. They have camera's all over their store so they have no problem with taping without someone's permission."

I will respond to you PM here. They might have cameras all over Walmart, but by entering the store you are giving consent to be filmed. Secondly, they do not post the video of customer on Youtube. Also, it isn't just that you filmed the employee, it is that businesses do not like any unapproved videotaping inside their building, for security reasons. If you cannot understand why, then I feel bad for you.
GEOMMM- This is why I always find these complaints amusing. They always start with statements like "I was tricked into going, " or "I was 'lured' into." It's the same with a l;ot of the car dealership complaints. These people just seem to be unable to say "no'" and then blame their decision on the salespeople. While it is probably true that the agreements are :"vaguely worded, " the potential buyer is free to decline.
If I ever got a call like that on my way to work, I would stop right there and call my boss and tell them what happened, not go in to work and say I can't work because my daughter is missing. But I must ask, where was your daughter when you left for work?
Well that answers my question.
Whether or not the store calls the police, they should most definitely notify the boy's parents. Unfortunately, all too often, parents today will side with their child in such situations and take the store to task for "harassing" their poor "little angel."
"Why should his parents be notified. It is obvious that from his parents reactions that the will beat him. He seemed more scared of them than the police." What reaction are you talking about? I see no posts here from the child's parents.

As to Too Harsh on Juvenile Shoplifter - Yes the OP is entitled to her opinion, and so are all of us responding.

While yelling at an employee, especially in front of customers or co-workers, is not good management style, I fail to see how it opens the company to any type of legal liability. Unless, of coarse, the manager used any of the "magic" words that could be defined as hate speech.
What does this have to do with HIPAA?
Really Zzonk? HIPAA Privacy Rule covers health and medical information, not financial information. I'm not saying the bank did the right thing, I actually don't have an opinion on that since the context of the bank giving out info is not stated by the OP, but any such disclosure is NOT covered by HIPAA.

"She has always had to go someplace else to get the tire she needs." How many tires has she needed in the almost 2 years? Perhaps you should have inquired about the availability of the tire your daughter needed prior to purchasing the certificate. Most gift certificates have no cash value and are non-refundable, and it is not as if the company refused to let your daughter use the certificate, they just did not have the tire she needed/wanted in stock.

So they ran out and offered a raincheck, what are you ### about?
In your opening sentence you state that "The complaint need not be posted." Then you post the complaint?
