Preferred Credit This company has poor customer service

This company has poor customer service. I've been trying to login into my personal account for two months. Could never login because it wouldn't accept my password. Tried to reset my password. Link never came via email to do that. I finally called customer service this morning and spoke with a rep who tried to help. She sent another link via email to reset my password that still never came thru. She changed the email address. Sent a link that email to reset my password. That one didn't come through either. I was then told she would have to refer a ticket to her manager and someone would call me today. Well here I sit 8pm central standard time and have not heard from anyone.

Preferred Credit I cannot complain about the customer service because they gave me what I was looking for and it was not hard to do

I cannot complain about the customer service because they gave me what I was looking for and it was not hard to do. I called to obtain my pay off quote, account number and current APR. There was nothing for them to solve but on another subject about the company. They are robbing people blind. My rate is 20.32% for a Rainbo home system...WTF, its companies like PCI that rob people who are unaware about credit management and/or debt resolutions. Please people pay attention to the contracts you sign, and if your life doesn't depend on the thing you are signing for credit..DO NOT DO IT! It seems as I will never pay off this machine and its been two years and the principal has not decreased much..SMH

Preferred Credit Unprofessional, rude, and careless

Unprofessional, rude, and careless. I paid off my balance over a month ago, and still it's not reported on my credit. I called 4 times and Preferred Credit told me, payments are reported to the credit bureaus at the end of the month. I called all 3 bureaus and confirmed Preferred credit has not reported anything since July 31st. I called PC again, and they told me the same thing but even more disrespectfully. Why is everyone at this company so rude. It like their mad I paid off my entire balance. Just report my payment in full already. You are Unprofessional, Rude, pathetic, and uncaring about customers credit and livelihood. If you are reading this, DO NOT EVER do business with PREFERRED CREDIT.

Preferred Credit I'm still waiting for them to tell me why my water filtration system have yet to receive a replacement filter

I'm still waiting for them to tell me why my water filtration system have yet to receive a replacement filter. I'm paying on a machine I haven't used in 3 yrs. It's useless. But if I don't pay them, they will appear on my credit in a negative way. I spoke with someone who claimed they'd investigate the issue, but of course never got back with me. But if you're late they'll certainly call. I do plan to go further with this. I'm paying for service I'm not receiving. I shouldn't have to hold to a contract that they're not holding up to. But I àm taking my complaint further to a higher level. And please don't respond with the same boring response on all of these reviews. You're definitely not business oriented.

Preferred Credit Went to pay them off and they said it was $40 extra

Went to pay them off and they said it was $40 extra. When I asked why, she said it was because I didn't call in to get the payment amount because the website is wrong. So she looked to see what the payoff amount was and it was the same thing on their website. When I made her aware of that she says well it's your fault for not calling. She also stated it was my fault because I didn't call in to get the right mailing address cause I sent it to their business office instead of the payment center I advised her I took it right off of a statement and she said it was wrong and that I should have called them. So I told her I would just pay the extra $40 because I was tired of dealing with because regardless of you say to them even if it's off of their website your going to be wrong because apparently they make no mistakes. Very crooked business stay away from them.

Preferred Credit I purchased a AVALIR2 Kirby vacuum 5-23-22 and at that time I wasn't sure of the way I wanted to pay for the vacuum so a Kirby representative

I purchased a AVALIR2 Kirby vacuum 5-23-22 and at that time I wasn't sure of the way I wanted to pay for the vacuum so a Kirby representative set me up with Preferred Credit, Inc. My first and main question was to ask if there was a prepayment penalty and I was assured there was not! I decided a few weeks later that I did not want to make monthly payments and forwarded check #358 for the entire amount to Preferred Credit on 6-20-22. The check cleard my checking account on June 27th . I just received an invoice in the mail from Preferred Credit for $259.14 in interest? The contract stated the interest on this account would be 13.99%. In what scenario does 13.99% interest for 30 days add up to $259.14? This account was opened approx 30 days and they want to charge me $259.14 in interest? This is outrageous and as a 8 yr old consumer I feel I am being scammed by Preferred Credit.

Preferred Credit Preferred Credit's customer service is good, but you have to call to get payments changed in any way

Preferred Credit's customer service is good, but you have to call to get payments changed in any way. There is no online option for changing payments. Also, it seems to be a predatory lender. While their interest rates are fairly low (mine is 13.99%), the payments they start you out on are not adequate to decrease the balance, but actually serve to increase it! I started out with a loan of $2,541.00 and noticed that even though I was paying more than the minimum they would have automatically taken as payment ($63.68), and even though I was paying twice a month to reduce interest, my balance went up over $200 in 11 months (to 2,780.04 ). There is no explanation of that anywhere on the website--no origination fee, no hint. I would strongly recommend using a loan calculator to figure out how to meet their "maturity date" without penalty, and paying much more aggressively than they automatically figure.

Preferred Credit Fraudulent Scammers

Fraudulent Scammers. In 7 months I will say good ridden to a place that I never heard of almost 7 years ago an agonizing journey ruining my credit. I don't fault transunion or equifax but Experian has 100% fault. They have protected and hidden them and when you type Preferred Credit in your google EXPERIAN pops up under Google. When trying to dispute this with Experian they take you through the unjustified process of saying you did open some kind of loan instead of helping you figure out that these Preferred Credit is a liar. Out of all the 3 credit bureaus this Experian has protected these criminals and my credit has been hacked over 640 times through their so called Experian Services. A major Law suite has been entered in my state against Experian and Preferred Credit and it is for all People that has been affected across USA. I started at the top the BIG BOYS and work them to the floor. Corrupt Company Coverup's

Preferred Credit I tried to pay off my account with them using a check from a title company and after 2 weeks they claimed they hadn't even received it

I tried to pay off my account with them using a check from a title company and after 2 weeks they claimed they hadn't even received it. I use the same method to pay off five other accounts and they all were able to cash a check within that time. I reissued a check to PCI however, when they eventually went to cash the first one it didn't work, obviously, so the issued me a notice of dishonor. Keep in mind I'm not trying to pay my minimum payment, I'm trying to give them all of my money to pay off my entire account; above and beyond what they are asking me to pay. This happened to me twice and they refused to waive the fee the second time. Their customer service was horrible and wouldn't help me. I've never had this much frustration dealing with an organization as I have with PCI. I'm happy to see they have worked for others, but when you try to pay them off using a method that's not as common, they're smooth systems come to a screeching halt and they just like to threaten you with creditors. They had no compassion and their systems are ridiculous. It takes weeks for them to recognize that they even received a check; absolutely unprofessional.

Preferred Credit If I could give them less than 1 star, I would

If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. I called them to stop an auto payment for 1 period. I was told this autopay was through my bank, not them. I was also told I had a 10-day grace period. All I needed was 4 days. My bank told me it was NOT set up with them, but through PCI. PCI tried to take the money from my account anyway and caused an overdraft fee. When I called PCI, I spoke with a different person who gave me different information. He let me know that there was a different webpage I was to visit in order to change the autopayment and so there was nothing they could do about creating the overdraft. I asked to speak with a supervisor and of course, she was just a parrot and repeated what the CSR told me. Since then, I have tried to make the payment and...hmmm...the payment can't be processed. Plenty of money in my account and, according to my bank, there is no reason the payment wouldn't go through. They said it had to do with PCI's system. I suspect my account was flagged and they are doing this on purpose. If you ever get the suggestion to work through them, I'd tell you to walk away from the deal before they screw you over as well. I would never do business with them again.

Preferred Credit I was receiving bills and calls from PCI that seemed scammy and since I get a ton of robocalls and scammers calling me I rarely answer my phone

I was receiving bills and calls from PCI that seemed scammy and since I get a ton of robocalls and scammers calling me I rarely answer my phone. Eventually, I called them and realized I did indeed have a bill for a product I had purchased months ago. The product name was not on any of the communication or mentioned in the messages they left me. After realizing this was a legit bill I agreed to pay $516 to bring my account current and also set up automatic payments but when they told me they could not waive the late fees I was shocked. Here I am trying to give them money and instead of working with me, they argued with me over 4 $15 late fees. Not a whole lot of money. It's the principal here. Their communication is very poorly executed- if a customer can't decipher between a legit bill and a scammy phishing-type bill. There are so many scammers out there this company should really change the way they present themselves if they don't want to be mistaken for a scam. They should also authorize their agents who answer the phone to have a little bit more power so they can waive late fees. Really disappointed that I owe this poorly run company any money. I don't recommend businesses work with them to sell their products. They are so generic in their communication it comes of as fake and weird and nobody wants to give their financial info to a company like this.

Preferred Credit Preferred credit is guilty of usury

Preferred credit is guilty of usury. I am 78 years old and had a stroke in Oct of 2020. My husband knew our old bed was 30 years old and knew when I would come home I would be in a wheelchair and need an adjustable bed. Unfortunately he was not familiar with how scam artists work. We are both 78 and live on social security and a small pension. Why they would talk him into a $5000 bed is a scam. But when he called me at the after care center he had a fast talking salesman on the line and since the bed had been delivered and our old bed taken away I just said OK. The bed is fine it's the financing that's the ripoff. When I was a little better and home I called the credit company to the get the amortization for the loan and found out what crooks these people were! The loan has a 19% interest rate. I thought the usury rate in Texas was over ten%. Then I found out that my monthly payment of $153 that I thought was going on the bed was only paying the outrageous interest. I would have to borrow $5000 to pay off the bed that would mean paying more interest. So I asked these awful people if I could have the automatic payment come out close to my social security instead of the 11th of the month and they said no! So because I said I still needed to have the payment come out around the 21st of the month they said it would be considered late every month and they would charge me an extra 5$more a month for all the years left on this bed. There must be something I can do to get out of this god awful mess. This company says they have a relationship company. The relationship they have is with the devil!

Preferred Credit This company is the worst and literally does not care about veterans!

This company is the worst and literally does not care about veterans! I naively purchased a Rainsoft water system through them. Had I known then what I know now we would've have steered clear of these crooks. I should've known something was amidst when the CSR asked “do you have any other income other than public assistance?" When we set up our account with them. She was talking about my husbands VA pension & disability, literally something that is EARNED through years of service to this country. Who says things like that to someone who risked their life serving the country you're able to do business in? We initially set our account to be autopay via the telephone. No problem. Recently we changed bill payment accounts so I went online and added the new bank account to autopay and removed our old one. The company now took TWO payments on the same day, one from the old account and one from the new. When I called to ask about them stopping one of the payments bc making two payments was not our intention. I was told no, it's already been sent to the bank and that if I dispute it with my bank that a returned check fee will be placed on my account. When there is already an existing auto payment for the PCI account? I was also told that changing the payment account via their website was not enough, I would have needed to also call to delete the old bank account. Online it said nothing about not being able to make this change digitally. If that is the case, why not have that stated on the payment website when someone sets up a new autopay account? I'll tell you why, so they can continue to take additional money for however many months. For veterans who are on a fixed income that can be detrimental to your livelihood. It's literally disgusting the way I was talked to my the manager I spoke with. If you're getting a rainsoft system DO NOT finance with this company, ESPECIALLY VETERANS.
