I have been listening to one stories and have paid over $250.00 so far and they still want more. It seems that the farther along you get, the more and shorter the episode become. The last time I paid $99.00 one time fee for the rest, I was under the impression that it would complete my purchase of my audio book. Also, once you pay, you stop getting free episodes. I like the stories but cost is more than ANY online streaming...

SMH...are the people that greedy?

You pay $14.+ change a month. They let you listen to a few chapters “episodes “ for free initially with the premium membership, then each episode after that you have the choice to buy coins to continue to listen or wait until next day to hear another one chapter/ episode. Most stories are over 400 episodes. Episodes take an average of 6 min per episode. So justt using the daily one episode, it can take 6-9 mo to complete the book at just shy of $15 a month. For $99 you can get between 800-100 coins to hear all your episodes. Good stories, but I will stick with audible unlimited books: better bang for your buck!

Just recently started listening to pocket fm, has some good stories but my issue was with customer service and getting charged double for coins. I understand the point of the coin system but I went to buy $20 worth of coins and got charged $40 when I only received the normal $20 worth of coins after the transaction went through. Confused I looks at my email and realized I got charged double for some reason, after back and forth emails with customer care, they told me it was a currency rate , and they use USD, that would be fine if I wasn’t based in the USA, but I am. After providing multiple forms of proof they then tell me that I showed them a PayPal screenshot not Apple Pay, which mine are linked together. So it’s been 5 days now with no solution and they keep saying it’s been solved, no it hasn’t. You guys took $20 from me and now I refuse to buy any coins. I’m so frustrated that I don’t normally write reviews but I felt I needed to this time.

They get you interested and don’t charge that much to begin but still overcharge, and then they hit you when you want to know what happens. Your better off just going and purchasing Audible books and listening. They could on ppl wanting to know what happens. The stories are more of the $1 cheap romance novels at the grocery store. They could have just put in some ads and charged a reasonable monthly charge or something but they want to rip ppl off. I guess I’m out what I have spent because I will never hear the end of the story. The Black Friday advertisement was the last straw. The advertised that when making a purchase which I wasn’t going to do anymore we are guaranteed to win more coins to open episodes. Well they showed ppl winning 2000 to at least 300 coins, so I thought ok, this is why they cut the amount by such a large amount they will just make it up in winning the coins. So I made the purchase and they gave me 10 coins. That’s it! I’m done.

Hi, I’m a younger reader who loves and is obsessed with the stories on this app. Not going to lie, the waiting for each episode to update isn’t really a big problem for me, but after a few months something happened. I went into the app like usual and when I tried to click on an episode of an amazing story, it wouldn’t do anything. It would just not un pause, after ten minutes of trying to see what the problem is, I failed. So I deleted the app and got it again to see if it would work but surprisingly, it didn’t. I have been trying to deal with this problem for about a month now and this is me typings this review one month later. In that space of time, I have deleted the app seventeen times and nothing worked. I’m not full on hating on this app because it seems that no one else is having this problem and I also love the stories. If this is a problem with the app then please let me know. If it is just me then I’ll try to fix it myself. Thank you for your time, and I hope you don’t take this review the wrong way.

I was curious I heard the Instagram ad I said why not seemed decent. I started listening to the InstaMillionaire… let me tell it’s TRASH. It literally makes no sense, these people have no common sense nor do they have brains. I understand it’s fictional and can’t be real life but even dumb people have smart moments and all the characters in this haven’t had a single one. There is ZERO character development, no type of Character arc and as a listener I can’t even become attached to a character. How are all the kids going to college but act remedial. I’ve seen all types of “teenage movies, shows and books” this has got to be the worse of the worse. All the kids know is money they switch back and forth if someone has a little bit of cash. My man donated $350 girls are all on him like he balking this is not 1920. I work 40 hrs a week I’ve definitely donated that and I got bills like what is this unrealistic, unimaginative, uncreative story. Please save yourself don’t download or listen to these garbage time wasting stories. Smh.

I downloaded this app to listen to the stories when driving to and from work, cooking or lying in bed trying to sleep. The stories are so nice that I find it very difficult to put down, even at work I put on my ear buds continue to listen and do my work at the same time. But the bad aspect of the app is the stories are halfway done. The first book I listened to is ‘Accidentally Yours’ very interesting but unfortunately it only stopped on 218, this after buying more than enough tokens, I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, so i went ahead and got the second book ‘ Billionaire Accidental Bride’ , this one stopped on page 441. This is after paying a whopping $100 for tokens in order to prevent any kind of interruptions but behold I never got my money’s worth. I later got to know that ‘Billionaire accidental bride’ is over a thousand plus pages , this is from another reader. My thing is if you can’t conclude the stories why make people pay, this app is just ripping innocent people off their hard earned money. Am highly disappointed.

Let me start off by saying I do like the stories and most of the narrators I’ve heard. My issue is the cost of listening if you decide to purchase. Each chapter requires an average of 6 coins to unlock. If you purchased an entire story you’d pay well over $100 for just ONE story. I do like the stories, but I don’t see how any sane person would pay more than $40 for a book or movie. I understand it’s a business and we pay for entertainment however that’s more than someone’s internet or phone bill.

Also with regards to purchasing coins, the higher the coin amount is the more you pay per coin. The 20 coin option is 10.5 cents per coin and the 900 coins are 11 cents a coin. I have purchased coins but once I realized how much it would cost to listen to just one story I stopped. I do like the app and the service it provides however I’m not willing to listen to a story over at least a 3 month period nor am I willing to continually purchase and endless amount of coins.

I really hope you figure out a way to provide a more economical service.

RIP OFF! I bought the membership, the app said it would unlock all the episodes with a vip membership, I was getting about 3 episodes a day with the free version then I bought a $60 a year membership so I could finish the book. I have time to listen to 6-8 episodes a day they’re only 5-10 minutes long. About 2 weeks ago I started getting 1 episode every day to every other day, (average 6 minutes each), I figured it would pick up again, now there’s been NO EPISODES for 6 days & ppl are saying in the comments they ended it. What with no ending? With no announcement? I see on the front picture of the novel it no longer says “new episodes daily” so I guess that’s it. Is that how this business is run. I could have saved myself $60 with the free version & still had the same experience…I want a refund…I’ll delete this app it has no use or value. I guess I have to contact Apple to see how to go about getting a refund. I had a hard time giving this app 1 star. If y’all are enjoying the app save your money & keep the free version I was much happier with that.

10/2/23 they never resove any issues they will keep telling you to send info when you do nothing is done will be done. You contact them again and they will ask for the same info. Over and over. Its a scam. The problem is not the books. It a dishonest platform. Even thou I sent them the receipt they acted blind. When I contacted ed apple I was told the purchase went directly to them. They will pretend like your info dont exist. They contacted me about a week ago ask me to send information I sent receipts from last december. They said give them 24 hours. I did so it’s been a week and nothing. They have all the info they can look up my information and nothing dont buy from these people. The books are good but the people running this are dishonest

It’s been over a month sent them my info and receipt every 5 days they ask for the same info. I want them to explain why am I being asked to re purchase episodes I already purchased or listen to. On my new phone they have me back at 31 episodes with my last purchase. Mind you I been listening since last yr. 5 episodes added per day they gave me 5& credit and I did 4 purchases reaching episode 113
This is dishonesty

I’ve been using this app for almost 2 months but I mainly listened to one story because of the cost you have to pay every day for 2 or 3 episodes coming out and it’s unaffordable if you’re starting to read a story that already has hundreds of episodes, can you imagine paying more than 150$ for a book that’s not even finished? Well that’s what this is and if want to know more you’ll have to spent how much more God knows… It’s unfortunate that there is such a great app with a lot of potential but for the greediness it’s made so expensive because they know when you get hooked you will have no other choice than to spend more money. There’s not even the possibly to pay a one time fee for a story a plans to make it affordable somehow. But to top off all that if you get logged you lose the coins you bought to purchase the episodes. That’s what happened to me. And I reached out to get my coins back but the customers service has not replied. I tried to call but the customer service is switched off. Overall this is a grate app but it’s made to exploit people by offering some good stories.

I was told to send an email after this to get my coins back and I did that 5 days ago but no reply so far.

Okay so this app is okay. The stories seem interesting and I love listening to these when I do dishes, but I have a question. So I clicked on a vip story and I thought I had to pay like coins because I read some reviews, but it didn’t charge me anything. Im a bit uncomfortable because I don’t want it to charge me after the whole story finishes. So please let me know if I pay or not. Okay now I have a problem. So I read review of someone who had the same problem. I clicked on the app one day and all the stories including the free stories on my for you page were gone. Nothing showed there and now I read the vip stories. I still have a free story i’m reading though, but I need that to be fixed. I tried deleting the app but that didn’t work and now I’m upset. I kept the app and still listen to stories but it would be amazing to get that fixed. Im not logged in so maybe that’s the prob but I don’t really want to log in. If that’s the case, let me know please. Thank you for listening and hearing me out. Edit: I found out that I need to pay with coins to listen to the whole story. I can also listen to vip stories.

This app is expensive first of all. So if you’re not into paying 100 or more dollars to listen to one story you should look elsewhere. The stories are interesting even though a lot of them switch from the good narrators half way through the stories and use crappy ones later. I’m a little ticked off because customer service is non existent and hard to find in the app. I got zero response from customer service after emailing them to fix my issue. How is it that you can’t purchase any episode you want? You have to buy all the previous episodes in order to access a later episode. This isn’t that big of a deal except for the fact that I purchased the binge pass which was a special deal for Black Friday where you could listen to anything for a one time fee of 1.99 and I was halfway through a story when the binge pass expired then when I tried to purchase then next episode with coins it tells me I need to purchase all the previous episodes. That’s a rip off because on top of paying all the coins for the previous episodes I’ve paid an extra 1.99 that’s not a deal. You need to fix it or else it just feels like being scammed. I’m so disappointed with this app. I feel like the people who made it are just too greedy and don’t care about their customers and the minute I find another app like this one I’ll be switching.

Helll I give you a three stare because I do enjoy the stories but what I do not enjoy is the way the you get free stories everyday except for one story I have to but coins In order to read it. It’s supposed to give you new episodes to read everyday but that’s not what happens, like I said I have to buy coins but I had 192 coins and decided to listen to new the episodes given everyday, so I went to listen to them so when I was as done I wanted to listen to the story I have to pay for I had no coins like really. Igor 30 coins I chose to listen to 10 episodes and the free ones well I ended up paying for all the free episodes and I want my coins or my money back. Because this is a company I know that you’re always making it seem as though it is the fault of the consumer and the company don’t make mistakes, I really hope this company is not like this because my cat enjoys the same stories as well (funny) but he does. I listen to them at night and these stories are extremely expensive especially when you make us pay for free episodes. It purchased coins twice and it happened twice but it didn’t happen the first time I ever bought coins and hat I payed close attention to but honestly I wouldn’t doubt it. Is there another way to reach someone for assistance. If it’s not difficult for you to take out money for coins then it shouldn’t be difficult to reach someone for assistance. I would all up for ppl to boycott til changes are made but I’d be alone. Nobody would stand or not enough. This is crazy EXPENSIVE!

I like the stories but I am not a fan of two things: the significant reduction of daily unlocked episodes over time and the apparent bug linked to accessing free coins by watching videos. I’ve been listening to free daily episodes of my favorite stories for about a month now and noticed that my daily unlocked episodes have reduced from 5-6 to 2. This would be fine for shorter stories but I am only between 25 and 50 percent done with stories that have 500-800 episodes. Then the advertisement for purchasing more coins states that we “must” pay/purchase coins to access more episodes: this is contrary to the daily limited access to free episode policy and sounds both misleading and coercive. Lastly, in an effort to earn free coins to watch more episodes I’ve attempted (on several occasions) to watch advertisement videos as the platform specifically states that users can earn up to 100pts per day. I have watched close to ten videos to the point where the videos claim that a reward has been granted only to discover that I received no credit for my efforts. This is a major bug and my app appears to be up to date. I would discourage others from downloading this app if this particular issue is not fixed.

Update: I guess management was able to troubleshoot the free coins (for watching videos) issue after my initial post. However 2 weeks later (and currently) my store completely wiped the watch ad/earn coin option. At this point I definitely cannot recommend the app. What I can say is that management has responded to both issues and I have been informed that they are working on the ad issue.

Of course an ad suckered me in to a story, and I was hoping it was either ad supported or subscription-based, but of course not. You buy coins, and unlock them that way. I’ll warn you, for a story with hundreds of chapters, that gets expensive FAST. $20 for a few hundred coins when episodes are 4 - 8 coins a piece, screw this! The story does seem entertaining but I’ll be finishing the one I started (which will already cost me a ridiculous amount total, for over 800 episodes) and then I'm done with this unless they offer subscriptions. So, not bad at all but I’d only suggest it if you like burning money for audiobooks. I just can’t justify paying over $100 or much more to get through most of a single series. It’s highway robbery, even when buying coins in bulk.

Edit from developer response: that’s still bull crap. even if your annual subscription was like $100 and something a year, if I’m listening to multiple stories that have hundreds of chapters each, then that’s still far cheaper for me. I’d pay that. But the pay-per-usage model is LOADS more expensive, as I then easily pay that same price for just one story, so don’t use scripted marketing terms to make it sound better because it isn’t. You wanna know what else would allow me to select the stories I wanna hear? A subscription plan! I’m not stupid. I know that’s just marketing talk. But it shows y’all have no willingness or plans to return a subscription service, so I will be finishing the one story and then deleting the app unless a subscription service is added back. Enjoy my $100+ for one whole story before I do so. Ridiculous.

Insta millionaire is my first book on this store plus a few sample books. The book is pretty good almost GraphicAudio level. The presentation of the App Store is nice and very professional looking making me feel like I’m setting in an actual book store. Insta millionaire plus the samplers I’ve listened too have one reader plus music and sound which is good but not the best I’ve experienced but I do like it. So all in all I do like this app. Then theirs the deal breaker. Shoot one the books are incomplete where as all the chapters are time released. I can’t stand waiting for the next chapters to be released. I’m the type of person that want move on till I’m finished with what I’m doing. So I’m not interested in the other books until I’m finished with insta millionaire meaning that’s bad for the other books. I’m more than likely will just stick with GraphicAudio complete business model. Shoot two the token system is rather expensive we’re the reader has to pay for each chapter. A reader can pay huge sums for a book on this site. I’ve spent about 20 to 30 bucks for audio books but these can push higher at about 100 bucks which is ok if the book is good but as business goes their going to sale fewer books and make less money with books at higher price then sale more books at a lower price which people of all working classes can enjoy the books. Shoot 3 people on a budget want like not being able to see a final price. So I’m not sure of the target group of readers this company is looking for. So all in all for me the time released chapter model is a turn off and is my deal breaker. I like this site better than audible but I think I’ll stick to GraphicAudio. As a truck driver time released is to much a thorn in the side for my long trips. The price isn’t a bother to me ether I’m going to buy it or I’m not. If it’s good and I can afford it I’m going to buy it. One last thing at this time Instamillionair I have spent 1200 tokens (120 dollars)on it and it still not finished. I’m starting to think these books are designed to keep going

They have really good and captivating stories . It’s pretty ok but I give it a 3 star review for a few reasons and I hope my review is paid attention to to improve these issues I’m about to point out .

Issues I have with PocketFm :

1 : changing voices actors mid story. A few (well most) of the stories I listened to or stopped listening to is because the initial voice actor brings the story to life which captivates the audiences then mid story they change the voice actor for whatever reason(s) to a voice actor that just reads the book with no passion and the voice acting is horrific , kills the story and alit of times their voices is annoying which leads to me stop listening to the book and or forced to still listen through the pain just because I was already invested and want to know the outcome of the story.

2 : I hate the fact that I purchase coins and not given the option to use it when I want. For instance, I listen to multiple books while working and the app will use my coins to unlock episodes to the book I’m currently listening to automatically. What if I want those coins to unlock episodes to the next story I’m about to listen to and more invested in ? Now I have no purchase more coins . I would think if I purchase something I get to use it how I want not how the creators of this app wants or think I should use it .

3 : often times the voice actors mixes up the names and characters and if you’re not paying close attention or followed the story closely you would get confused and not know who they’re referring also they say a lot of the words incorrectly.

4 : when the last episode of the book you’re listening to comes to an end, instead of starting on the next book in your library they start a whole new story that’s not in your library and automatically adds it an often times I can’t get the book out . Like I said before I listen while I work so I’m not able to monitor my phone constantly so it annoys me when this and other issues listed above happens .

I think I may have covered all my issues, if I forgot anything I’ll be back to update my review.

I got this app cause I have a hard time reading sometimes but I LOVE books. I had listens to a few stories and it was cool, they were nice and I only had an issue with one, but that was cause I didn’t like the person reading it.
But I’ve deleted the app. I gave it a one cause I can’t give it a zero, and for that moment I did REALY enjoy it.
But I found a story that I thought would be interesting, started listening to it and it sounded really familiar. As if I had already read the book or listened to it somewhere else so I continued to listen and think about it. Maybe my head was playing tricks on me like Deja vu or something. But I got to the FOURTH chapter when I realized this was a near copy of the plot to a manga I had read a while ago.
These stupid people copied someone else’s work and changed the words around a little. The characters names were different but they were basic replicas of the other stories characters. The plot was almost exactly identical to each other. The main characters met the same way, I went ahead to listen to a few chapters and they gave the same thing happening there as well.
Gonna sound weird for a second because I like scy-fi, mythical, shapeshifter stories, but it’s about a girl who gets transported from her world to another. One where beast men inhabit the world. She’s being chased BY WOLVES and saved by A FREAKING PANTHER! Who then calls her the most BEAUTIFUL girl in the area, the he takes her back to his village. LATER they end up enemies to some ape king who is in love with a mermaid woman and is trying to take over the world for her.

I wish I could report the story for plagiarize, but I can’t find that there so I’m saying it here.
This app has plagiarized stories, if your okay with that get the app, but if you don’t like to read things like that here is advice, DON’T download the app. Cause if there’s this story that that has plagiarized a big manga like this one they copied then I’m sure they have more on here.
For the creator, I don’t know it’s just my personal opinion, but if your cool with people copping work on your app, I get it it makes money. Just keep it hard to find the report button.

I am severely, extremely disappointed and frustrated. When I first got this app, this summer, I decided to sign up for the $9.99 package per month rather than paying $59.99 all at once, which was $4.99 a month. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it, and if I did, I was going to change my package. I’m not rich by any means, but if it would have been worth it, I would have paid the larger sum for a year. Mind you, this was for UNLIMITED EPISODES AND LISTENING. Well… about a month ago, I was listening very often at this point, I got back on and things had changed. It wanted me to pay $14.99 for 180 coins. $9.99 was now for only 80 coins. Each episode is 2 coins to unlock. I’ve paid for manga online that’s cheaper than this, and it was expensive. I could go buy an entire audiobook for cheaper! That adds up FAST. So I decided to give it a try, because there was one story I was very invested in, and I was going to quit after finishing it. (It’s still coming out with episodes) To my dismay, I COULD NOT just buy the new episodes. Nor could I buy ONE AT A TIME. The minimum I found that I could buy at a time were 30 episodes. It was wanting me to pay for 60-80 at one time. From episode ONE, EPISODES THAT I HAD ALREADY LISTENED TO. I was already paying this app, it’s not like I listened for free. But to be able to listen to the new episodes and continue the story, WHICH IS 168 EPISODES SO FAR, TWO COINS PER EPISODE…. I would have to spend a fortune. WHO CAN AFFORD THIS?! I’m not one to leave a review or act like something is too expensive, I always want to support authors and hard work. But this takes the cake. This is absurd and ridiculous. It’s a complete ripoff. Even if they went up on their price, couldn’t they at LEAST make it to where their already paying customers could continue the stories they were listening to?!?! But no, I have to pay for the ENTIRE STORY, that I have already paid for and listened to. I wouldn’t be surprised if they lose many, many customers and listeners over this. I’m so extremely disappointed and frustrated. Now I may never know what happens in the amazing story I was listening to. Please fix this, at LEAST make it to where we can pick and choose which episodes we want to pay for. Thank you.

My first time opening the app and it won’t connect to the app server to create an account and after multiple attempts I’m met with failure. My only other option is to “skip” okay now I see story genres and a search so I go to the search and it says “invalid token” okay so all I can do is pick a genre and see what the app has and every single genre has nothing but stories in Arabic sorry I don’t speak Arabic and the subtitles are not in English. Which is funny because the advertisement that pulled me in was in English and very promising. I was excited and willing to get the paid VIP membership BUT I can’t even sign up or use the app properly or understand the stories so with so much disappointment I will just have to forget about Pocket FM.

I really like the app, but after these latest updates it has stemmed my enthusiasm. I’m a sucker for romantic stories so I was a monthly subscriber, pay 10$ per month and have unlimited access. Now with the update I have to pay for coins and my biggest upset is all the episodes I have listened too are locked back up again and would have to pay a lot of money to get back to where I left off. This doesn’t sit right with me and I’m upset. I hope this can be changed for me and anyone else having similar problems. If the previous story chapters can’t be re-unlocked for myself and others. I don’t see the point in keeping the app. I’m holding out to see if it will change, but losing some faith. Please, please, please, I hope this is fixed!

Okay so the story about the accidental bride was actually pretty interesting, so that’s why I’m giving two stars. However, waiting for a new episode is the problem I’m facing. It says “Free tomorrow, Get Pocket VIP to play Now”. So ofc I waited a whole 24 hours, but still wasn’t able to read. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited another day, making it 48 hours. Still not able to unlock. I just want to listen I’m not paying for anything. It’s about to be 72 hours since I’ve listened to the last episode and I’m so close to deleting this app. Update 9/3: Still haven’t been able to read. I read many different stories thinking that Accidental bride was just not working, but I couldn’t unlock any new episodes after weeks. Changing to 1 star.

I love that the novels are read to you but my concern is why after you pay $20 then it doesn’t offer to wait for the next 10 episodes for tomorrow when I use to wait it was like this and I don’t understand if I’m paying shouldn’t it have the same of waiting just a day and 10 more will be available now it’s telling me I have to wait a month for the next episode the a day after for the next episode then it says a month after that that’s going to make me stop because it’s trying to make me pay it’s only $2 for 15 coins each episode costs from 4-6 coins but at the end it’s going to make me keep spending money just because of this I would rather uninstall the app sorry but I’m not going to pay just to read something I can just go on YouTube and keep hearing for free

When I first started using the app I was enjoying, the story I was listening to was a fun listen, but that is kind of where the good ends, the whole coin thing is very inconvenient and astronomicaly expensive, just to get through not even half of a story, I prob spend $20 which is kinda ridiculous just for not even half of a story, the story itself captured my attention but the cost has completely turned me off to the Pocket FM platform, yes you can just wait until it becomes “free” but when there are 80+ episodes I quickly lost interest having to wait, especially since each “chapter” is like 10 mins long, and your “free” trial is completely misrepresented, was really hoping to like the app but it’s something I could never recommend to a family member or friend

I saw an add for this on YouTube and figured I’d give it a try. I know it’s romance people but is it too much to expect that the situation are somewhat plausible? That the characters behave like real people? This feels like a high school creative writing assignment.
Next, the price. I listened to the free episodes of said ridiculous story then the test was behind a pay wall. How much would it cost to unlock the whole story? I’m glad you asked. 528 coins. To get that many coins you need to buy the $49.99 package. (You would have some left over but not much)
Dude. I buy a lot of books. Audio, E-books and old fashioned “real books” the only time I ever paid that much for a book it was a text book. I wouldn’t pay $5 for the dribble they peddle on this app.
Laughably ridiculous

I’m on my second book and while the story is good enough for me to follow, you’ll come across some annoying mishaps like duplicate episodes or forgetting to upload an episode altogether. You get one episode update per 24hrs and when it turns out the uploaded episode is a duplicate, it’s enough for me to curse! . I bought into subscribing thinking it’ll give me updates much faster OR….be able to listen to the story without pause or waiting for updates. Was I wrong! I get to wait just like the non-paying listeners! So, what’s the incentive behind subscribing for 59.99$? NONE! So, don’t waste your money. They need to complete the story before they upload it in this app. Happy customers multiplies a lot faster which also means good revenue for the creator of this app….just saying.

So, yes, the “app” is free. Believe me, those stories are definitely NOT. I was listening to one. Got the first 10 episodes free, I thought this story is pretty good, I wouldn’t mind paying some to hear the rest. I wish I could send you guys the pictures I took of the prices these people are trying to charge. It’s criminal! Let me spell it out. I need 6,022 coins to finish my book. The coins start at package deals from 200 coins for $1.99 (that’s a special, one time purchase) and go up to 2,400 coins for $99.99. So, let’s do the math here…I would have to buy at LEAST two $100 packs. Then, I could buy the 1,200 coin pack that’s $50. BUT, I STILL need 22 more coins. Good thing I have that $2 pack I can count on! So, it’s only going to cost me $252 to listen to one book! What an awesome bargain!

How am I not able to speak to no one? I reach episode 68 and paid for most of them and now it’s all lock back up—— what happen to all the money I paid? I wish w had read all the reviews before spending my money on this app…. What’s with one or two chapters a day? Even after I spent money to try to get the full story , my money run out before I even get to half the book. Books are not that expensive, a romance novel is maybe about $10 but this app want $100s to listen to one story and you can’t even get to the end of it cause they are not uploading them…. What’s the point of spending all that money and can’t get to the end of the book? I wish there was a way to get my money back, because it’s not fair for you to take all my money and I. Any finish one book . I think Apple should shut this app down

I like the stories. And found one I really so I figure I’ll unlock it with coins to get the hole story instead of waiting everyday for a few parts to be released for free. It’s a good story so it’s worth it to me. So got a bunch of coins. About 15 bucks. Then realized there’s over 1000 parts. I did the math and it would be over 100. About 150$. What? That’s 3 plus times what a book would be. I would love to support the writer but that’s crazy. So I just can’t buy any more coins till it’s more reasonable. A lot more reasonable. Until then I’ll wait every day to listen to the parts released. If things get better i would gladly spend money on story’s I like. But there’s no way I’m spending all that money to finish one book. If I’m gonna spend 100 plus then I’ll just get 3 audio books and still save money.

This app states that they would unlock 2-3 chapters for free everyday for a story that you are following. I started the substitute bride audio book but it didn’t unlock any chapters for me so far. Their customer service is also terrible. I left them an email months ago and still haven’t heard back from them. In addition, they have a new feature where they say that you can earn coins by watching ads. However, when you try to click on the link, you receive a message that no ads are available to watch. Plus, you can’t unlock any chps randomly at your will. All chapters need to be unlocked consecutively which is another ploy to scam users in spending money to unlock more chapters. And everything is way too expensive. You might spend $100+ and still need to spend more to complete a story that you like. Wanted to give 0 stars if I could

I have had my account since September 2nd 2022. I spend over 3 thousand dollars on episodes. Two days ago I logg on and all my episodes are deleted. All my purchases on gone. I brought two full books two days ago I sent this company my screenshots of my apple purchases it clearly shows $100 purchase $49 purchases etc. so they know it’s their mistake. I submit a ticket and they keep closing the case. FRAUD! Beware even if you purchase a whole book you might not get to finish it since your book will disappear out of nowhere. These people refuse to help I will now have to get visa involoved and apple to deal with these fraud people since they don’t communicate! Rose

I have still now recieved any help on the matter. They tell you to contact them but once I do they close the case without resolving it. This company is horrible!

I been using the free version of this app to listen to the billionaire accidental bride. I was on episode 65 when I decided to make payment to get full access to the story. I tried several times but payment failed. So I decided to download the app on a new device and made payment which went through. I bought 150 coins, in my mind I would chose which episode to use my coins on but no my thought wasn’t so. The system applied my coins from 1st episodes down.
Oh goodness what is this? I can’t believe this how the app is and theirs no way for me to chose what episode to use my coins on. Now what do I do? Because I’ve listen from episode 1 to 65 using the free version. I put in a lot of work to get to episode 65 as I have to wait for it everyday. I think this is not fair and I need a refund of my coins to enable me to use it on episodes I chose to use it on.

This “coin system” model is like the old “bait & switch” system. You start listening to a story that is very interesting, and then you have to buy coins to listen to the rest of the story. No problem! I’m willing to pay for good stories. But NO! I pay $20 only to find out that my $20 barely pays for ONE-TENTH of the story. Instead of the book being broken up into chapters, it’s broken up into “episodes.” However, each episode is only about 10 minutes. So, what does $20 get you? A total of about 40 to 50 episodes of a 950+ episode book. RIDICULOUS! Of course, you do have the option to buy enough coins to unlock the entire book… for ONLY NINETY-NINE DOLLARS! For that amount, I might as well go see a movie in 3D at the IMAX theater, but popcorn, hot wings, beer, candy, soda, pretzels, and an ice cream bar… and still not spend a total of $100. What a freaking scam!

Last night at EPISODE 680 I HAD 5 UNLOCKED EPISODES & 9 REMAINING COINS. EVERY morning at 3am est some episodes unlock ranging from 3-6 episodes. I screenshot to make sure because for some reason I keep either losing coins or episodes but I’m not sure. This time I’m definitely sure. You ppl are a complete RIP OFF. AS YOU CAN SEE I had unlocked episodes already. Then from 685-689 were supposed to be unlocked tomorrow as in 3am today. But you scam artists didn’t unlock them. You unlocked one episode and changed thronged the price. I’ve wasted so much money on this app because I really thought that I was bugging out but in reality you people rob people that support you which is craziness and I’m going to call my bank first thing in the morning to get my money and I’m canceling my subscription, you can see my screenshots clear as day. Well it’s an awesome app. You can listen to stories on end. I have been listening to quite a few. I paid for some episodes with coins and when I went back after listening to one series the episodes I paid for were locked. On the other 2 stories I was listening to. I know I paid for them as I shared what was left one time between the other 2 stories from what was left over of coins I bought. Now I trying to get to talk to someone and there is no contact info for the developer or so on. That’s kinda crazy. I mean having an issue and there is no contact info to reach so as to sort out problems. Not nice. I mean it’s awesome to can listen the stories. But until I get some good understanding talk with someone who develops and manages this app then I won’t recommend it.
You will pay for things in advance then find the app is requiring you to pay for it again when you go back to listen. Not nice. Not nice at all. I’m quite upset right now about it.
