Today I used the service of Plumb Pros, Inc., the employer of *** and ***. They were on time to tackle a very clogged toilet. They were easy to deal with, and were in and out in less than 30 minutes. This was my second time to use Plumb Pros, Inc. but it will not be my last. Also, the price was very reasonable.

I got a new pump, 2 floaters, and a cut off valve from Plumb Pros, Inc. The installer said the pump was $700, but the whole thing cost me $1700. I asked a bunch of people at the company for the invoice so I could see what I was paying for. Finally, I got the invoice a day later. Turns out, they charged me $1200 for the pump, which is $500 more than what they told me. This company ripped me off, and I won't be using them again. 11/29.

The service team of Alfred & Alex were sent to repair a leaking dishwasher at my condo. They were told that the unit was occupied by an adult Autistic son. Alfred & Alex were able to communicate and be respectful of him and put him at ease. Alfred also spotted a potential garbage disposal problem. I must also express my thanks to Larry (dispatcher) who gave a heads-up to his service men regarding dealing with my Autistic son. I will be calling them again.

I had a leak in my crawl space from a pipe going out to the faucet outside my house where the garden hose attached. I called this company and they said there was a $69.00 trip charge that would be taken off the cost of the repair if I elected to go ahead with the repair after the service technician showed up and gave me an estimate. If I didn't do the repair, then I would pay the $69.00. I asked if they could give me a ballpark estimate for this kind of a repair, and was told no, that the technician would have to come out and look at it first. I was ok with this, as I thought, well every job is different, so it's probably not one size fits all. However, when the guy showed up and looked at my leaking pipe, he went to a book that he carried and said there was a flat price for that kind of repair, and it would be $506.00. I thought that seemed pretty excessive for a job that would take only about a half hour and for which the part, (I had checked prices for this part and it was $41.00). I asked him was he sure it would cost that much? He said yes, that's what the book says. So, it looked to me like they could have given me a ballpark price from their "book". I told him no, I wouldn't pay that much for this minor little job, and paid him the $69.00 trip charge and he left. I then hired another company to come out (no trip service charge), and they did the same work and it cost less than half of what Plumb Pros was going to charge me. I ended up paying $221.00 for a job that they were going to charge $506.00. I would not recommend this company as I feel they charge much higher prices than many of their competitors. Personally, I will never call them again in the future if/when a need arises for plumbing work at my home.

Wanna support a Local Biz in Arvada, Colorado? Here's my story. Plumb Pros got called for a leaky toilet. The tech removed the old flange and cut the pipe. But, oops, the removal damaged the subfloor due to water. So Plumb Pros suggested a Restoration Co. I paid Plumb Pros half for the work right then and they bounced. The Restoration Co. came, did their thing on the same day, took out the messed-up floor, and dried the subfloor. All standard stuff for leaks and repairs. The Restoration Co. charged separately. Now, a month later, it's time for Plumb Pros to come back. (seal the pipe, put on the flange, and get the toilet back in action) and pay the rest. So I called Plumb Pros to have the original tech finish the job. The service manager who picked up couldn't find the paperwork. Oh no! I guess the tech doesn't hand it in until the job's done. I thought when you pay part upfront, they turn in the paperwork. But here's the good news, the service manager called me back and found the paperwork. They verified the work, set an appointment for the tech's return, and are ready to finish the job. (Job ain't done yet as I write this) The issue is, why doesn't Plumb Pros call to check on the unfinished service? I paid half and no paperwork? Hmmm. A possible fix is for the tech to tell the office what's up, and the office can follow up, find out what's happening, call the customer, and see when the tech can come back to finish. The lesson I learned, after my own mistake, is to make sure to contact Plumb Pros, let 'em know what's going on, and how long till they can finish. Would I recommend Plumb Pros? Yeah, if you wanna support a Local Biz in your hood, they're good at what they do.
