Misidentified every plant in my garden except two
I was excited to find an app that was more or less free, simply so I could begin identifying a couple of plants growing wild in my backyard. However, I performed a standardized test with a selection of 20 different plants in my garden (mix between potted and planted in the earth). To my dismay, only two plants were correctly identified: the Jade plant, and the lily of the valley (while flowered). Every other plant, excluding these two, were misidentified entirely with absurdly inaccurate plants that looked nothing like the picture or auto scan. It would be somewhat understandable if they were similar, in this case I cannot fathom an excuse. Technology is almost there, but this has miles to go before it could be considered reliable, useful, or helpful. For those wanting the list, here is the list of plants I test-scanned:

Don’t Do It!
I decided after the initial trial period to cancel my subscription before being charged. The app freezes up when attempting to do so personally, so I sent an email to the support address stating I wanted to cancel immediately. I received email after email with offers of a cheaper plan, questions about why I was choosing to cancel, etc…& no indication of my subscription being cancelled. After several emails, I was told they couldn’t help me cancel it…it had to be done on the app which leads me right back to where I started! If I could cancel the silly thing myself, I would! Bottom line…their customer support group likes to play silly games that leads you in circles when trying to cancel. It should be cut & dry without harassing emails trying to get you to spend money on their app. When I specifically send an email to the support staff asking to cancel my subscription, that’s exactly what should occur & yet, I am STILL trying to get it canceled several days later. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP OR PROVIDE YOUR CC INFORMATION INTO THE APP UNLESS YOU PLAN ON BEING HELD HOSTAGE.

Not accurate
I would like my money back. I just bought the lifetime for 49.99 today instead of the 7.99 a month because the 49.99 lifetime did not allow a trial period. I am so disappointed in this app.
The first plant I identified was incorrect, the second plant it gave me three different plants each time I scanned it, and each time they were way off from one another. It did get a-few of my vegetables correct, but it labels each of my bell peppers as a jalapeño pepper and identifies the eggplant as chili peppers. Sometimes it will not scan at all.
It did recognize my tomato’s but it lists them all as beefsteak tomato’s when only one is beefsteak and the other two are Roma and heirloom. I would be fine with just generic tomato, but don’t label it as certain variety when it is not.
Great idea for an app and I am sure there are tweaks that need to be made and additions, those are understandable, but this app has been out for 4 years and it should at least get the identity right at-least half the time whereas for me it away correct less that 30% of the time. Please refund my money.
