Pick UP Movers I never write reviews but for this company it was necessary

I never write reviews but for this company it was necessary. If you're thinking about using them, don't. My sister moved with another company and gave me questions to ask to ensure a smooth move from *** to DC. I wanted door to door service with no third party involved. *** said only his company would be involved. On pick up day, a van line company called smooth van lines showed up, leaving me no choice but to use them. I didn't authorize or approve them due to my mother having to move out the next day. When I told *** a different company showed up, he disregarded my frustration and said the van line is his sister company. He was nonchalant and said they arrived on time, so what's the problem? I asked *** questions to ensure a smooth delivery, but he didn't follow through. He assured me the price on the invoice is all I should expect to pay and the security deposit will be deducted from the final cost. This was not the case. I called *** multiple times, and he was condescending, saying I was smart for asking those questions. Terrible company that disregarded everything I asked and didn't follow protocol when a new company was involved.

Couldn't thank Pick Up Movers enough for their service. I've heard about many people having delays and difficulties with their move but Pick Up Movers was able to get a quote and delivery to us within 48 hours after our own previous moving company cancelled on us as well. Dimitriy was able to give us an up front confirmation of the estimate and quickly loaded up the furniture. Our move from Ohio to Illinois was completed in 2 days.

Hello everyone,

So Recently I used pick-up movers for a my long distance move from one state to another and I must tell you all that my entire move went so smooth without even stressing out over anything. At the every first day when I made an inquiry about my moving estimate the company responded within a very short span more over explained me about each and every single details which was going to happen if I'm ready to let them move my stuff and It was quite impressive. Everything happened as per the commitment and the word give by pick up movers like on point. Date of pickup/ delivery and in between the kept me posted regarding everything. Before service and after service are one of the things which impressed me a lot about my move. They took care of my every little stuff which was going on board towards my destination. Pick up mover used each and every possible packing materials for every individual items and packed it very well. I don't say that there wasn't ANY damage there were but a tiny ones and it happens due to vibration of the truck while running on the road and tbh No mover guarantees about it but this particular company was honest and punctual with my move.
Big shout out to FRANK AND SHAWN the office guys and to all the crew who helped me in moving. You guys were super polite with great understanding and really helpful.
Moving is not a mess anymore, as I have got you (pick-up movers for rest of my life).

Pick UP Movers These movers, Pick UP Movers, LLC, are the worst I have ever seen

These movers, Pick UP Movers, LLC, are the worst I have ever seen. They don't even deserve half a star, let alone a whole one. I found them online because I couldn't find anyone else in the time frame I needed. I hope no one ever uses them again. Here are some of the many flaws: 1) They packed everything haphazardly and didn't label any boxes, even after I reminded them five times. 2) The workers didn't speak English, so I couldn't communicate with them. 3) They were constantly distracted by their phones and other things. 4) They gave me a low quote, but then charged me $2500 more than the initial quote. 5) They lost all the screws and packed them in an unlabeled box. 6) It took them more than 2.5 weeks to deliver my stuff, and the unload crew couldn't speak English either. 7) The unloading guy tried to charge me an extra $500 for a shuttle, but it turned out he was lying and had other people's boxes on the shuttle. This was the worst moving service ever!

Pick UP Movers I had a move with Pick UP Movers, LLC and it was the worst one yet

I had a move with Pick UP Movers, LLC and it was the worst one yet. They gave me a quote that was way too low. I told them exactly what I had, but they said I had more and charged me extra. They said I had 50 more cubic feet than I actually did. I only had 17 boxes and a bedroom set, but they charged me for more. They also charged me an extra $75 after I paid the balance. They didn't give me a box for my TV and when I asked about it, they called me a liar. They didn't have any boxes for purchase on the truck. I signed the basic insurance plan because I was told I didn't need anything else. My TV was damaged and now I have to pay more to replace it. If they were honest, I wouldn't have minded the higher quote. They only hire foreigners and there's a language barrier. Be careful if you use them and read everything carefully.

Couldn't thank Pick Up Movers enough for their service. PLEASE read the low rated reviews! I could write a long review, but most cover it. The actual movers were nice, professional and did a good job. The issue is with Frank. Upon booking he is nice, professional and very helpful, promising so much. On the back end, communication is horrible, delivery late, Frank lying about ETA, becoming very aggressive, angry to the point even if even YELLING at me when I was simply asking for answers. Very unprofessional and shady. Beware of this company!

Pick UP Movers We have moved three times in the last several years, moving the same stuff each time

We have moved three times in the last several years, moving the same stuff each time. We've used Pick Up Movers twice for moves. The first move was done very well which prompted us to choose them a second time.We recently had the second move and it was poor and very disappointing.Each move was for a two bedroom apartment. The estimated cubic feet for both moves was in the vicinity of 650 cubic feet.The following is a list of issues with the second move:
1. The movers arrived one day late for pick up. The reason given was that the previous move had more cubic feet than the customers indicated. No consideration was given to the fact that multiple adjustments had to be made on our end to accommodate this change. This is important to note, as you proceed through the following information.
2. When the movers finally arrived, they demanded cash for the first half of the move, even though a check is an option, per the contract. They said they made a call to ***, for check approval and he gave the approval.
3. Then they began saying that our move was more cubic feet than listed on their paperwork. Keep in mind, the move was the same move Pick Up Movers had done 1 1/2 years ago.
4. Throughout the time it took to load the truck they continued to harp on the cubic feet being more. Once the truck was loaded, they indicated the cubic feet amounted to 1130. Over 400 cubic feet more than the previous move and the estimate. They then indicated that they would be willing to change the amount of cubic feet if we paid them cash. To us that proved that they were trying to take advantage of us. We chose not to pay cash for their fabrication of cubic feet and called *** the following Monday. We spoke to *** a few times and then began leaving him messages, but never received return calls. We were hoping to have this resolved prior to delivery of our move, which was now going to cost approximately $3000 more.
5. Regarding the deliverythey texted on a Monday to say they would be arriving on Tuesday evening. They texted at 11:30 pm on Tuesday evening to say they wouldn't arrive until Wednesday morning.
6. They had the nerve to ask for a gratuity on both ends of the move!
7. Upon unpacking boxes we found that a lot of kitchen items were just thrown into boxes- silverware and other items not wrapped and heaving items sitting on top of fragile items. In multiple boxes, knives were sticking straight up and we could have been sliced had we not been paying attention. A couple plates items were broken, which is to be expected in any move but as we continued to unpack boxes and saw things thrown in you could tell no care was given to packing my boxes.
I think it's also important to mention, that my daughter and I were both present at the first move, while only my daughter was present for the second move. It makes me wonder, if a male was present at this second move, would the movers have still tried to take advantage of the customer.

Pick UP Movers If reliability, timeliness, communication and customer service are important to you as a consumer

If reliability, timeliness, communication and customer service are important to you as a consumer...DO NOT USE PICK UP MOVERS LLC.

Our only point of contact was a guy named *** who is apparently a "manager." He was very helpful and readily accessible before gaining our business, but once he had it the customer service was virtually non-existent. *** would not pick up phone calls and only responded via text if he responded at all.

Initially, *** gave us a window for when the movers would arrive between Friday, November 15th and Saturday, November 16th. However, according to ***, they would most likely arrive Friday morning. We made plans accordingly and took the time off work and the movers never showed up on Friday. We touched base with *** on Saturday and he claimed they would arrive by 1:00 PM. The movers finally showed up at our home at 7:30 PM. They had driven all the way from Miami to Atlanta. It then took the two movers approximately 6 hours to move our furniture and boxes. We did not leave until well after 1:00 AM. My husband reached out to *** and never received a response or apology.

Fast forward to the movers delivering our furniture and possessions. *** gave us a delivery date of Monday, December 16th. My husband reached out to *** on the Friday prior asking for confirmation and time of the delivery. *** said he would get back to us shortly. We never heard from him. My husband reached out again on Sunday asking for a specific time of delivery and ***'s response via text was "Yes, I believe so." My husband then asked for the final amount we owed upon delivery and if it was only payable by cash to which *** responded, "Yes." No details, no answers to the questions we were actually asking.

The movers never gave us any formal documentation for payment or details as to where our stuff was being stored. This whole experience, we have been left in the dark with no responses.

I finally called *** myself on Monday, December 16th. He did not answer the phone, but responded via text saying he would call me back in an hour once he got to the office. I then called the number listed on google for Pick Up Movers, LLC. That number must also go to ***'s cell phone because while on hold with the number I received a text from *** saying, "I said I would call you when I get to the office." Please see attached screenshots of the following text messages between *** and me. His lack of professionalism, irrational outbursts and refusal to pick up the telephone to call back his customer is unreal. I've never dealt with such an unprofessional "sales manager." Neither my husband nor I ever heard from *** again even though we asked countless times for him or some type of management to contact us.

We did not end up receiving our things until Monday, December 30th...14 days after *** told us they would be delivered. Again, the movers arrived late in the day and were unpacking our things in the dark.

I will say that the actual movers did a good job on both ends. It is a shame that *** leaves such a bad impression to his customers and the movers then have to deal with it.

Please do your research before using this company. The negative reviews are very accurate to our experience and the little bit of money you may save is NOT WORTH IT. Plus the quote they gave us was well below what they ended up charging us.

Pick UP Movers On Tuesday, August 3rd, my stuff got dropped off

On Tuesday, August 3rd, my stuff got dropped off. I'm so mad because some of my things were wet and moldy. I didn't complain because I thought it was a storm during my move. Today, I opened my new 65in TV that I paid $900 for, and it's cracked down the middle. I've been trying to get in touch with them, but nobody has gotten back to me. I paid $2311 for my stuff to move, and now I have a broken TV that I've never used. I want my money back for my TV or a new TV. I paid my bills with no problem, and most of my clothes are ruined, but I let that go. But my TV is a big NO!

Pick UP Movers I got a problem with Pick UP Movers, LLC

I got a problem with Pick UP Movers, LLC. I signed a contract to move, but then found out my closing date was changed. I told *** and he started yelling at me on the phone. He demanded an answer in an hour and hung up. I was shocked and uncomfortable. I offered to keep the same date but push back the time, but he said no. He texted me to reschedule for a time that wasn't available. I asked for my deposit back, but he said I couldn't have it. I should get a refund, but I haven't yet.

We was told a price and it went 4,000 over after he said it might just go over 1,000. The sales guy was not nice he was yelling on the phone. The sales guy said that because we moved recently that everything would fit. He did not come out to do an estimate. He said that if we used another truck it would just be 1,000 more on top of what we owe. Instead it was 4,000 more. When I tried to call and talk to him he was yelling at me on the phone was not understanding at all. He was treating me like a kid. He even hung up on me. He was being rude the only good thing is he didn't cuss me out. The guys that came to move us made messes that I had to clean up. They had no respect for the house or me. They accused me of lying and have treated me poorly I feel it's because I am a woman and he didn't let me speak or explain how I was feeling. They made dents in the wood floor and left the door wide open and let bugs in. Obviously they Have false advertisement.

Pick UP Movers Pick Up Movers LLC picked up my stuff on September XX XXXX and I gave them a deposit and half the total amount for pick up and delivery

Pick Up Movers LLC picked up my stuff on September XX XXXX and I gave them a deposit and half the total amount for pick up and delivery. Their contract said they would deliver within 5 to 21 business days, not counting weekends or holidays. But it's October 12 now and we're past the 21 business days. I've tried to contact the owner, whose name starts with an "F" and sounds like "stank," but he won't answer my calls, texts, or emails. I just want to know where my stuff is, why it's taking so long, and when it will be delivered. I sent him a text on October 8th saying that if he didn't get back to me by the end of the day, I'd have to assume my stuff and money were stolen. He still hasn't replied. I'm going to call the cops and get a lawyer. There's a lot more I could complain about, but that's all for now.

I had a bad experience with Pick Up Movers, LLC. The owner, *** gave us a low estimate of $3000 for our move, but when they arrived, they added an extra $1500 without any explanation. They were six hours late on the day of the move, and we had to sign a new contract for $4300 to get our items delivered. It was deceitful and wrong. Many other people have had the same issue with ***. He needs to stop doing this to his customers. Job number is SXXXXXXX.

Pick UP Movers I hired Pick UP Movers, LLC for a move on 9/24/22

I hired Pick UP Movers, LLC for a move on 9/24/22. They were supposed to pick up my stuff on 10/15. They gave me a quote for 703 cu ft for around $3453. When they arrived at 5:30 PM, they started loading and said they would check in when they got close to the 703 volume. Later that night, they said they were close to the 703 cu ft and asked if I wanted to add anything else. I pointed to some additional items and they said it would be an extra 150 CF. I told them to only take those items and that 853 CF was our limit. They kept loading until 3:00 AM and then said our total was over $9000. I told them to unload everything because we didn't agree to that amount. They said they couldn't unload everything and that I had to sign a blank Revised Written Estimate. I have a photo of it and a video of our interactions. When I called *** to fix the issue, he raised his voice and said I agreed to the charges. He said they would remove the items off the truck, but I would have to pay them thousands for their labor. I am seeking a refund of $1561.50 for the charges beyond the verbally approved 853 cu ft. I am also seeking a refund of the additional fees ($130) we incurred to transfer the funds because Pick UP Movers denied the use of credit card and blocked my Venmo payment. They demanded payment via cash and Zelle at the last minute.

Pick UP Movers This moving company, Pick Up Movers LLC, is a real headache

This moving company, Pick Up Movers LLC, is a real headache. They keep changing the delivery date and won't give me straight answers about where my stuff is. I paid $1704 for their services, half upfront with a credit card and the other half to be paid in cash or postal money order upon delivery. The contract was signed on April 15, and the pick-up date was on May 26. They promised to deliver my belongings on June 19/20, 2020, then changed it to June 23/24, 2020, and finally to June 27. The representative, ***, gave me false and incomplete information about the delivery and failed to disclose the location of my possessions. I have tried to contact him via phone and email, but he never responds. I have all the text messages and email correspondences to prove it. This company is a scam, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
