Review of PHMG and GoToWe signed with PHMG (and their partner GoTo) for phone system services that were never properly implemented. From the start we faced repeated hurdles: our manager had to rewrite almost the entire audio script, ongoing mistakes piled up, and our concerns were largely ignored. We were pressured into signing quickly. After the initial presentation, we said we wanted time to discuss and research. They responded by offering a discount that would disappear if we didn’t sign on the spot. That high-pressure tactic should have been a red flag. What followed was months of being jerked around. GoTo failed to deliver what was promised. Staff members on both sides kept changing — people left or were moved to different departments — and things constantly fell through the cracks. The process felt extremely unprofessional. Meetings were blown off with lame explanations, and it often seemed like no one knew what was happening with our account. The companies were attentive just long enough to get us past the early cancellation window, then performance collapsed. When we requested a release from the agreement without further charges because the service was never working, the two companies handled it very differently. GoTo released us from our agreement. PHMG refused to do the same. Instead, a PHMG representative later stated that because we had not accepted a proposal we had already refused multiple times, and because we raised the issue in a BBB review, they would terminate the agreement, close the account, and have Credit Control issue an invoice for the full remaining contractual balance, payable within 14 days. They also warned that unpaid amounts could be sent to legal and collections with additional fees. Critical Warning About Cancellation Timeframes Do not sign with PHMG until you fully understand their cancellation, notice, and termination clauses — and do not let them rush you. Implementation problems and ongoing delays do not pause your contractual obligations or extend any cancellation window. In our experience, months of cooperating, rewriting materials, chasing responses, and waiting for a working system quietly consumed the time we had to exit. By the time it became clear the service would never deliver what was promised, we were locked into a long-term (reportedly 36-month) agreement and faced a demand for the remaining balance in full — even after their partner GoTo had already released us.

Recommendation: Other business owners should NOT LET THEIR SALES TEAM STRONG ARM YOU TO SIGN WITHOUT RESERCHING PHMG. They do it so you don't find out about their scam. Treat the cancellation deadline as hard and non-negotiable. Document every delay and concern in writing early, clarify your rights in writing before that window closes, and do not assume good-faith cooperation will protect you later. Once that period passes, you can find yourself trapped in a lengthy contract for a service that never worked as expected & YOU DIDN'T RECEIVE.
