Peugeot ignorance and malservice

i have one question to start with .. is Peugeot a very bad car or Malaysia servicing is very bad ?
after long list of spare parts that need to be changed and after money paid for all these defects i still got my car back from the service centre after three weeks of heavy work with three more problems, air-con was good now i have to change the air-con coil, the car was jerky and now i have to change the whole turbo system and my car only 60000 mileage, even when i ask to change the backlight bulb they did but there is a cockroach there and how thats happened i don't know but i know i really can't trust those people which i believe they just messed up and made my car as an experimental field for them and yet expecting me to pay

Peugeot worst car I have ever owned

I have had the car just over a hear now and it is the WORST car I have ever owned. Since the very first day I got it, it has been non stop trouble. I have put more money into fixing this piece of ### than I paid for it!

Some of the problems with the car:
Constant beeping radio
Constant over heating
Airbag fault
Faulty power steering pump

When I bought the car I had to replace the gearbox and other things I'm not sure of the name, gear fork or something. This isn't half of the ### that's gone wrong with this cheap hunk of junk.

When I take it in there are never parts readily available and I have to go without a car for a week or more. Not to mention it is insanely expensive to repair even the slightest error. I have to use my entire paycheck to fix the stupid car. I hate this car!

I will never ever buy from Peugeot again and I intend on telling everyone how ### the car is.

Peugeot repairing

Hi,

Today my wife called care line twice but no any response and no feedback from HQ.

Can you all explain to me what is going on? As a car owner, I’m still don’t understand what is going on and it’s already about 2 months in the workshop.

Want to keep the car for 5 years until the warranty period over?

If I’m not wrong, this is 3rd times they changed the parts and not able to solve the problem.

I’m so blurred and wonder whether your service guys really know about the problem or just trying an error?

You all bring in the defect cars to Malaysia and earn more profit, this is what I feel when no response from your side.

Do you expecting me to pay monthly instalment without using the car?

I already told you the difficulties without car for my wife on daily use and same goes to my kid’s school and tuition.

But you weren’t taking this matter serious because it is not affecting you!

Since you provided me a problematic car (not even 1 year), so I want to inform that I don’t want this car anymore because cannot wait for your own sweet time on repairing.

Provide me with new car and pay my 2 months instalment.

Dear Farah,

Today also I contact Peugeot service centre at Bukit Indah, they inform me the parts haven’t arrived yet.

Can you confirm me when the parts arrive and when can I get back the car? How many more days, months or years want me to wait?

If you all keep on to this, I got no choice to stop pay monthly payment and take lawyer in bring this issue to whole world.

You all not keep your promise to return back the car on time. If you all not able to solve the problem, get another car.

Peugeot / Naza selling a problematic car in Malaysia, can I say this and worst customer service.

My car in the workshop more than 6 weeks without running, sure I got problem again with engine.

Next month I have to service the car (2nd service / 20000km) without using. Will your Peugeot / Naza bare the cost as compensate for not get the car ready on time?

How you and your boss feel if this happened to you all.

Please do not test me. I know you can do anything, give me your superior contact.

Dear Farah,

I’m really disappointed with the action taken to resolve my car problem. This car still in the workshop from 26th September and waiting for spare parts end of this month but not confirm yet.

I’m not sure also what the issue is because the service centre not able to answer me.

Not even 1 year this car got problem, without using the car I’m going to pay instalment. Can I know who should I contact other than care line number?

I call from Singapore to care line but no one answer the call, do you have any other number to make a call from overseas?

Peugeot high service prices

On saturday 31.05.2014. I had my car for a 80.000 km periodical check, drive into a authorized peugeot car service in istanbul haramidere. The name of the authorized car service provider is peugeot deniz which is found in the haramidere district of istanbul. Signed some papers and left car. The other day they called me and told that I can take the car from the service provider. When I asked them how much I m going to pay for the services they answered me that I m going to pay 1620 tl which is something about 800 usd. Thats an amount of money an ordinary worker can make in two months in turkey. I was shocked. When I evaluate the copy of the paper I have signed in the service provider there were written many things that isnt related to my car. I was in a careless moment signed a paper and have given permission to do a lot of operations that it isnt related to with my car. I was just get frauded and legally I could nothing to do. But I believe people should know about those things so I have written here.

Peugeot incorrect / different mileage on car

My wife and I recently purchased (31/01/14) a Peugeot 207 from robins and day liverpool for £6, 999.00. When we sat with the salesman the paperwork he shown us for the vehicle shown it had a mileage of 28, 950 miles (we still have the original paperwork) and we were informed we would receive a full 12 months MOT with the vehicle (but they informed us on the day we picked up the car that we would have to return it in May 2014 for an MOT. When my wife picked up the vehicle on 03/02/14 the mileage on the vehicle was actually 31, 853 miles. As she arrived home I took a look at the vehicle and noticed the higher mileage (Almost 3, 000 miles more than I had been told that the vehicle had. I immediately phoned the dealer and spoke to the salesman. He said its ok I have altered the paperwork, which was then that I informed him that I was not happy and that I considered the situation to be that I had been mis sold the vehicle as I was looking to purchase something with less than 30, 000 miles on the clock and that if I had known the actual true mileage at the time then I would not have purchased the vehicle and would have looked for something with a lesser mileage. I have spoken to Robbins and Day a few times now and each time they have said that they where going to call me back the following day but I have never received a call back, even after speaking to the deputy sales manager. All they keep saying is that they dont understand why I am complaining and that the car has average miles on for its age and dont seem to be interested in the fact that I have a choice as to what my limit is in mileage of a vehicle when purchasing another vehicle. I have always had low mileage vehicles and wish to keep it this way. The additional 3, 000 miles on this vehicle is aprox 6 months of driving for the use it is intended for and feel that this is important to me but I cannot get any satisfaction with Robins and Day.
Not sure were I stand at this moment as the dealer appears to be ignoring me.
Thank You

Peugeot timing belt issue!

Driving home and the car suddenly lets out a huge bang and looses power. We managed to pull in and secure the car to have it collected in the morning (we broke down on the way home and were in our street).
The dealer advised that the timing belt had slipped causing the valves to be bent and the water pump was also effected.
They fixed this issue which cost £1300 then called to say the Engine Management Light was on when they road tested it and the oxygen sensor was needing replaced for another £200! There was no lights on prior to the timing belt issue i must add so no idea how this could have happened.
The car is 2007/07 with 42, 000 miles serviced outside the Peugeot network so they are unwilling to help with this bill. I wondered if this is something which happens regularly at the age and mileage of car and where i can go from here?
Thanks in advance
Dave

Peugeot awful authorized service center

i own a peugeot 307 cc, and i have been facing a number of problems in it that the service center couldn't fix a number of times, mainly around a shake in the steering wheel on high speed . The car has went to Abou Rawash service center ;Egypt, many times. an official authorized service center it suppose to be . but my last visit which was before a national vacation was horrible for me . the car went there with a few issues to handle and fix ( like noises in the roof and the wheel along with the problem i have always had with the shaking of the steering wheel ) . after two days i went to take the car i was shocked, first thing i found the back window not working as the machine it self was some how ruined, although it was perfectly working when i handed in the car to the service center, and when i ask the engineer what happened to it he doesn't know the reason and tells me that they don't have the spare part (window opening machine) .and because the window wasn't working i wasn't able to neither open nor close the roof because it has to work with all the windows down .and then i received a call after the vacation saying that no service center in all of egypt or any dealer has got the rear window machine to get it repaired, so what should i do! of course i was very disappointed but my bigger disappointment was that i mistakenly forgot my camera bag (dslr camera) in the trunk (boot ), when i opened it as i was taking my car back i didn't find the camera, nor the lenses accompanied with it or its charger !The camera has been stolen from the trunk ! i know that i shouldn't leave anything in the car as they ask me to take everything off, but i forgot this bag in the trunk by mistake and i don't think that a respectable service center under the name of peugeot should allow this to happen at all . other comments i want to add is the poor image of the service center it self from the inside, from outside it looks so good with a set design and peugeot name on it, but as u go inside i don't think that such an environment represents a name like peugeot, as the desks are a mess and wires are out of the walls and it reflects a really bad image of the people working there ! i have always been a fan of peugeot cars and been recommending them for friends as i have intended to buy a newer peugeot later on, but with such customer care and service centers, i don't think i would trust peugeot in Egypt .

My wife and I both own Peugeots, a 407 2.0hdi and a 206cc. We have bought Peugeot for about 20 years. Never again!
Both our cars have given us nothing but trouble, mainly electrical but also mechanical. They are too expensive to keep on the road. Money after money, after money. A total waste.

I owned 308T for 2 years, car has many problems, i can tolerate but the service and respond is like ###. It took 3-4 weeks to fix only the leaking turbo lub hose. I doubt they just wait to have bigger problem happening.

Peugeot faulty clutch

Peugeot 207 I have had my car for less than 2 years and have under 13000 miles on the clock.
At 5000 miles the car was recalled for an adjustment to the clutch. Nothing was said about excessive wear at this time and I assume the car was returned in perfect working order although the car seemed to have a lack of power and was heavy on fuel.
I took the car in for it's first service and asked if they could look at the clutch, which they did. The service was completed in 3 hours .It took a further week for a new clutch to be fitted. This is unacceptable.

At the time I was asked for permission to remove the gear box to check the clutch and I gave my permission. I dont understand why the gear box should affect a clutch plate assembly. They then advised that the clutch was only guaranteed for 6 month. Apparently the clutch was worn out. I was never shown the clutch. When asked to have the clutch I was told that I had to pay 100 pounds. It seemed that the manager Wayne Marden did not want us to see the old clutch. They advised that the clutch wouldf probably be sent back to Peugeot. After we had paid the 660 pound bil it seems that that was the end of everything on Robins and Days efforts to resolve our complaint. The Workshop Controller, Wayne Marsdan said that Peugeot may refund half for goodwill. We never heard anymore about this. They just wanted our money and to go.

For 98% of the time I am the sole person in the car and travel about 30 miles a day.In my opinion the clutch was fauty. The recall indicates a clutch problem with this model. It should not have worn out at on 1300 miles. Customer Care at Peugeot did not want to help. They said it had worn out andf that was that.

If you paid for the clutch in full then the old part was your part there may be a surcharge but that is only £10 on a clutch kit.
Peugeot have had numerous problems with engine ecu programmes and there is a download to rectify clutches being damaged by this.
Contact peugeot and ask them to put in writing how long on average a clutch would be expected to last in this model car and why your car failed at such low mileage.
Contact the dealer and ask them send you a report on what was wrong with the clutch and the clutch plate lining measurement as they should know this to repair the car correctly.
Peugeot have changed their policy numerous times on warranty and never really let the customer know the true level of the warranty when they sell you the car. The best option is to speak to the service manager and get him to write to you with an explanation to to warranty as the handbook does not comply with the true level of warranty.
I am an ex Peugeot Service Manager of 20 years and am not happy with the way Peugeot are treating the customers in the UK.

Peugeot qc and safety failed

I’m very disappointed with Peugeot ability in solving my car air conditional filter system, wind leaking, noised and wheel balancing problems. It has only been 2 weeks from the date that I first collected my Peugeot 408 from the Peugeot Melaka Branch but I have sent my car to the aforementioned service centre for a total of 8 times. I will not feel so disappointed with Peugeot if their technicians are capable to fix and resolve the problems that were discovered from the supposing BRAND NEW CAR from Peugeot.

1. 5 July 2013 – I collected my new car and the same times I found my car Air Recirculation system was not work properly (it can’t filter the smell from outside) and the steeling was shake and whole car was vibrated while the speed reach 110KMJ – 130 KMJ
2. 8 July – my car was broke down when I tried drove back to Melaka.
3. 10 July – I sent my car for repaired for those problems but it was failed.
4. After few times repaired but same problem still occurs and found that driver seat was moving while I drove and wind leaking and noised on driver side.
5. 25 July – the 6th times I sent for fixed and services my car but unfortunately your services centre failed to solved it

It’s getting frustrating due to my new car only collected 3 weeks times but total 8 times my car sent to your workshop for repairing and I can’t seem Peugeot Car have any efficiency for solving problem, Safety, Quality control and QC Check.

Today 8 August 2013, My car breakdown again with unknown reason, I still waiting the toll service and I getting mad because today is public holiday for Malaysia and my brand new car broke down 2 time within a month and always during my outstation trip!

Peugeot roa 405

Dear Sir/ Madam,

My Name is Raouf, I live in Egypt, I have bought my ROA 405 Peugeot Car due to my addiction to the brand and its reputation in Egypt and worldwide, and i was told that its components was manufactured in France and integrated in Iran, But after that i realized that its body is the only Peugeot Genuine part otherwise is not.

- First I bought it in May 2008 and after purchasing i found that its model is 2007.
- I bought it as being Peugeot in its body, chassis and motor but i found that it is only Peugeot shaped.
- The Car have many technical mechanical defects like ( Steering column switch which is very aggressive, It exerts a very load voice out of the motor from the first use, etc...)
-Kindly be noticed that my car only made a 20, 000 Km till now
-When the Direction tools box exploded, i sent it to the Peugeot agent in Egypt to tell me that i have to buy the spare part from anywhere as they don't have it and asked me to sign an admission form for that issue.
-After looking for the spare part, i didn't find it, but the agent called me after about a month to tell me that they found the spare part but with approximately triple it's original price.

I am sending this complain to your reputable company as i know that no one could help me to have my rights except you, as Peugeot is known for its excellent customer service.

Please help me!

Thanks in Advance and looking forward to have a response

Peugeot electrics

i bought a Peugeot 407 hdi (06 plate) last year, i took this car for a long test drive with no problems after having the car for three months i started getting alerts on the dash telling me that there is a problem with the rear indicator when braking and rear brake light when indicating, i took the car back to the place of purchase and they under warranty fixed the problem, now months after having that done it now happens on the other side of the car with other warnings coming up and the brake lights don't work properly only when they want to, now its happened to both sides of the car at the rear. I bought this car as a more reliable replacement for the car i had which was a thirteen year old astra ( if having a choice of the two i would have my old one back yesterday) i cant sell this car as its on finance and i would get nowhere near its asking price, I know there are a lot of other people out there with the same problem and if a car company can recall its cars back for a problem in its air bags from ten years ago i think this is a massive safety issue (brake lights ) and Peugeot should stand up and be counted. I have no confidence in this car I will never buy another Peugeot and I will make sure that every one I know will hear about this what a rip off come Peugeot recall these cars and sort out the earth wire problem.

The problem you had with your brake lights are a common fault on this model, the connections on the back of the lamp are not up to the job and so burn out due to high resistance between the connectors, Peugeot have made a repair kit for this fail which in my opinion shows they admit there is a fault which is a design/manufacturing fault. This being the case they should pay for the repair, contact peugeot customer care and ask them to write to you stating that the rear light connections only last for a period of time and that they need to be replaced as this would be general wear and tear, also ask them if this is a normal thing to do and if other cars in their range have this unique service item that will need to be carried out. I agree with you, it should be a recall and they need to be showing more concern for their customers.

Peugeot worst car ever

On or about May 2011 I purchased a Peugeot RCZ 1.6 (“the RCZ”), a 2011 model from Peugeot South with 2000km on the clock.

On or about July 2011 one morning the RCZ would not start and gave a warning signal that there was a problem with the water coolant level and then registered an engine fault which needed repair. The car was towed to Peugeot South and in the following couple of days (without a car), I was told that the entire coolant system had been replaced. The RCZ was then returned to me.

On or about November 2011 whilst driving, the RCZ gave a warning signal that the water coolant needed to be replaced and even asked that I stop the vehicle. I did so and filled it with water at the nearest petrol station. The RCZ continued to overheat and the engine fan would come on and then I’d have to stop the car again. The RCZ was towed to Peugeot Northcliff and after a couple of days (without a car) I was told that they could not find anything wrong with the car and the car was then returned to me.

On or about February 2012 whist driving, the RCZ gave a warning signal that the water coolant needed to be replaced and even asked that I stop the vehicle. I did so and filled it with water at the nearest petrol station. The RCZ continued to overheat and the engine fan would come on and then I’d have to stop the car again. The RCZ was again towed to Peugeot Northcliff where I was assisted by Dominique and after a couple of days (without a car) I was told that there was something wrong with the coolant system and that it had been fixed. The car was then returned to me.

On or about May 2012, I started to notice that the oil level of the car was decreasing. I then filled the car with oil but the next day it asked me to refill the oil again. I then noticed that the RCZ had an oil leak and I took the car into Peugeot Northcliff where I was assisted by Dominique and I was told that the car is fixed.

On or about 16 June 2012 whilst driving on the N1, the RCZ gave a warning sign that the water coolant level was low. The RCZ did not however request me to stop the engine this time so I continued. After a bit of driving the car requested that the engine needed repair and still did not ask me to stop the car. After that the car began to emit smoke and then I stopped the car and then called Peugeot Assist to come tow the car. The car was towed to Peugeot South. No one at Peugeot South bothered to call to tell me what was the issue with the car, I had to call the numerous time to enquire as to the progress. I was called the following week and told that the engine needed to be stripped and that I would have to pay R5000 for this as my warranty would not cover it. I was not offered a courtesy car as this was not the policy at Peugeot South. It was only after I had lodged a complaint against Peugeot South Africa that I was offered a courtesy car.

Peugeot they don't care about their clients

Driving home with a friend in my peugeot 308, my car gave a stop warning. I parked on the side irritated as this was not the first time considering I bought the car brand new still under warranty just been serviced by peugeot durban in dec cause of engine problems, they worked on it only to have it burn4months later&at 3 months pregnant, I needed a reliable car. While phoning peugeot assist smoke started coming from the bonnet. Coughing& choking we opened doors, tried to open the bonnet but it was too hot. We looked under the car&there were flames building up. Panicking I told the call centre agent to get the fire dep as the car was now on fire. The car completely burnt down as we stood there. After sending forensics, all peugeot s. A could say was that the battery used by dealership caused the fire as it was not approved &I must deal with dbn dealership. Ofcause dealership believes they are not at fault&I must sort myself out with insurance. No one from peugeot cares that I now had excess to pay, my premiums will go up&having bought a home my affordability now does not allow me to purchase a car &what if my baby was harmed by smoke! Pregnant stuck with no car tks to peugeot. Never buy a peugeot! They don't care about their clients!

Known 308 faults
PSF1fuse box filled with water by faulty engine temp sensor causing corrosion and electrical thermal incident(Peugeot talk for fire)
If car is diesel the turbo heat shields breaking and rubbing through the oil cooler pipe allowing oil on to hot exhaust and catch fire
Oil leak from oil filter seal due to being incorrectly fitted during service, this is common due to the design of the seal and it being hard to see in the engine bay.
Fuel leak from high pressure supply pipes diesels are very prone to this.
If diesel injectors leaking past the seals and allowing hot gas and carbon the damage components around the top of the engine
All these are very common faults with this vehicle and can easily cause fire. Peugeot do know of the faults but would sooner keep quiet as a major recall program would cost millions and they do not have the money to do it however they would prefer to have their customers drive death traps around.

Peugeot no service

After four years of use, the rechargeable batteries in my Peugeot Elis Inox pepper and salt mills loose their charge too quickly and need replacing. Because in each mill the batteries are encased in two blocks of 3.6VDC/700 mAh each, they cannot be replaced off the shelve without modification. I asked Peugeot in an email to their aftersales department (via their European website) for advice on cost and where to source replacements. After 3 weeks, I am still waiting for a response/acknowledgement. Their seems no other way to contact them and considering the purchase price of each mill, this is an appalling lack of service and I can no longer recommend to purchase these mills or probably any product in their range.

Peugeot fault to drivers door

I purchased a1007 in march 2006 from week one the drivers door failed to work. Would not open when either outside or in the car /would not close & lock /or was open when returning to the car. Despite constant repairs to the door it never worked for long 2 months at best 2 days at worst. On many occassions I have been left outside the car at night on my own as the door failed to open. All peugeot said was to bring the car in when it failed to work & they would repair it. What I needed was a car thati could trust to not let me down or leave me alone in a car park as I could not open the door. I had to stop taking the car to the dealer in the summer of 2008 as due to the time I lost taking it to the garage was losing me time & salary as on quite a few occassions I have been over 2.5 hours late for work. On these occassions I locked it in my garage & used another family car. Peugeot state on their website that their cars are manufactured to give worry free motoring & peace of mind. Dont believe it for a moment they are not interested in the safety & peace of mind of the customer I have had 3 years experience of that fact. I have contacted the smmt about this & they are no help at all.

Peugeot day light robbery

I took my vehicle to Peugeot to have it diagnosed of a fault and have it fixed. A Anti-pollution faulty displayed on the dashboard everytime I switched on the engine. They diagnosed the car and I paid R627 for it and had the car fixed and I paid to have it fixed. A week later the same light appeared again and I took the car back today and I was told if they check the car and they find out it's not the same fault they had fixed then they will charge me another R627 for diagnosise. How on earth do they expect me to pay two diagnostic fees within a week of taking my vehicle to them? Have they programmed their machine to detect one fault at a time sothat the customers can back and charge them or do they deliberatetly not fix the faults as indicated by the diagnostic machine again sothat the customers can come back and charge them some more money for diagnosis. Is this a money making scheme they have embarked on? Are they going down and trying to squeeze every possible penny from the poor customers just to save their ###? is this poor workmanship? What's even more appaling and infuriating is that they say the diagnostic machine detects that the catalyst converter is ageing, I took out the catalyst converter about 2 months before I took the car to the dealership and replaced it the silencers, surely the machine detected that the first time around they just didn't mention it. I find it hard to believe that i couldnt be dected.

This doesnt make sense to me none what so ever. Bottom line Peugeot South (The Glen) is ripping off people.

This sounds like the engine fuse box (PSF1) they are prone to getting water in and causing this fault

Peugeot peugeot disappoints new car owner

I have had my Peugeot 207 ( 2008) model for 18 months and before my first service, the car broke down and was towed away to the nearest dealership which at the time was Woodmead. They checked the car and said there was no real issue with car even though I couldn’t change the gears and it had to be towed. They dispatched my car and assured me that it was nothing serious.

On the 18th of March, 2010, I was driving on the N1 highway and, my car would not go into gear. I pulled off to the side and once again the car had to be towed. It was towed to Peugeot Fourways where a report was done. They said it was the fly wheel that gave in and as a result of that my clutch gave in. my maintenance company refuses to pay the dealership out because they have deemed the damage as “driving technique” so they will not pay the dealership out. I have been dealing with William Ndlovu at Fourways who assured me that it was a query that a maintenance company would cover. I have only had one service my car is sitting at approximately 35 000 km.

I had trouble with car before its first service and Woodmead did not state that there were any serious issues, now my car has died once again...:

Peugeot took car in for service and get more problems

Took car in for service and get more problems. Haven't seen my car for 2 weeks and still got no answer out of them what they doing about it. First it was tappet that was loose, then there was a noise in the engine that they don't know where it come from. Then they send the car to a engineer to look at. The newest is that I overheated the car and now its valves and gaskets and... The last time that car was driven was by them because I refuse to drive it and told them so. My car had no problems on when I took it in for a normal service. R5700-00 further I got no car and I lost 2 weeks of work because I am in sales and my car is my bread and butter.

I bought 206+ in Feb 2011 and when I put petrol fully and it started to come a high noise from petrol store. I complained to Peogeot in Turkey and store which I bought it but they just said that it is normal. They said that they can only cover store from outside and the noice will never stop only it will be less then now. I completely refuse this. I feel really sorry to buy a peugeot. Ozlem Dalkilic

Peugeot no feedback from dealer principle

Cabriolet 307 been at woodmead branch since 21 dec 2009, jackie at delaership indicated that repairs would only start in jan 2010, initially clutch and battery need repair and tune up done. I personally replaced battery which was still under guarentee, jackie contacted me many times in january that clutch was finished and was due for only for tuning but it because the car was 95' modle, the branch did not have diagnostic testing equipment in order to tune car but workshop manager would be contacted to see what could be done. Call centre contacts me regularly to see if I am happy with the repairs etc but I when I tell them I still dont have the car, I always get told that the service manager will contact me, up until now 4 march 2010, I still have not been contacted. I have contacted the dealer principle on the 1st of march and told him the story and was told he would get back to me. I have still not had any feedback and still dont know when I will be getting my car back.
