not getting a report on whats is going on
They do not let you know what is going on. Talked to the case worker on 5/10/2011 and the doctor was to call and let us know something. As of today 5/13/2011 we have not heard for him. The caseworker left a message saying that he would be release on Monday 5/16/2011. This is a 85 year old man that can't even remember to take his own medicine and thinks he can still drive.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Peachford hospital does not treat the mentally ill, they abuse them. Recently one of the doctors was indicted on several counts of sexual aggravation of a patient. My brother received a black eye, allegedly from, falling out of a chair. They count on the facts that they are dealing with the mentally ill and the family members will not believe what they are...

couldn't agree more! I feel the same way, was not told anything!, people in my unit (99%) was cold, rude, short-tempered, and they seemed to not care or want to help any patient! Worst experience in my life! (everyone there agreed that if they were trying to commit suicide, they would do it right the first time)! I normally don't complain about much (I use to be a nurse) but this experience will stick for a long time as very negative!

I f I would have know that this hospital was like this I would have never taken my loved one there! They are extremely rude and do not let you know what is going on. They don't even explain things to the patient. We were told sense this was a voluntary admit and the patient was not suicidal or homicidal that the patient could check out at any time. That was a complete lie. I don't understand how they can keep you against your will. Not to mention this place is nasty! Just completely filthy. I am starting to wonder if there are any mental hospitals that are worth going to.
