I have been without a working refrigerator for approximately one month. With an active extended warranty/service contract in place. PC Richard service techs have been sent to the house four times now. Every time a tech comes out, the unit functions for a few days and then cuts out. We were woken up to a freezer full of water because of melted ice three times now. Thrown out meat, frozen goods multiple times. The issue was always with the freezer going out. On the last time the service tech was here, he installed a part which he was directed to install as per LG. This time, the entire fridge and freezer went completely out. Room temperature in the morning. Yet again, throwing all of our frozen goods out. Finally, I contact customer service on the 16th, and after a heated conversation, was told they have been out here multiple times and that they would attempt to process a return authorization. Received no update from them as I was promised. This went on for two days without a response or an update. Multiple calls placed requesting a supervisor or a manager. Getting nowhere, I had to have a cheap refrigerator delivered for 350.00 plus 65.00 to be delivered. Because I have no option, my food is in a cooler in my backyard and no one is trying to help me with this issue. Replacing bags of ice everyday. It’s unacceptable. The first line of the agreement says if PC Richard cannot fix the unit or seems it unrepairable, it will be replaced. Trying to contact a manager is like trying to contact the Oval Office. I call back today and demand to speak with a manager, yet again, none available. I was promised that Abbey, a manager, would be contacting me before 1PM. Here I sit at 1:49PM with no call from Abbey and no update. This is absolutely unacceptable and horrible customer service. You people do not stand behind your service contracts or your extended warranties. Anyone wanting to do business with PC Richard despite this review, don’t buy the service contract or extended warranty. You’re wasting your money.
