Payoneer – Unauthorized withdrawal of funds from my Payoneer account after 16 months without providing proof, documentation, or legal basis.

I am filing this complaint against Payoneer for what I can only describe as an outright act of theft, embezzlement, and betrayal of customer trust.

On August 16, 2023, funds were deposited into my Payoneer account. These funds remained untouched, unchallenged, and undisputed for over 16 months. Then, on December 31, 2024, Payoneer — without a single notice, warning, or lawful basis — illegally confiscated my money and falsely claimed it was “returned to the sender” under a supposed T&C violation. This is not only absurd but a fabricated excuse designed to cover up misconduct.

No financial institution on earth has the authority to arbitrarily seize customer funds after 16 months of complete silence. The law is clear:

Only a court order,

A legitimate regulatory investigation, or

Proper due process with client notification
allows for such an action.

Payoneer ignored all of these legal requirements. Instead, they acted as judge, jury, and executioner — robbing me of my money and then hiding behind vague T&C claims.

I have demanded — repeatedly — that Payoneer provide:

A SWIFT copy or banking notice of reversal,

A formal complaint/dispute record,

Any court or regulatory directive authorizing their theft.

To this day, they have produced nothing. Zero evidence. Zero documents. Zero justification.

This is not a “policy issue.” This is a criminal act masquerading as financial services. Payoneer, a licensed Money Services Business (MSB) under DFS jurisdiction, is acting less like a regulated company and more like a fraudulent operator running a Ponzi scheme with client funds.

Let me be clear: if Payoneer is allowed to get away with this, then every single customer’s money is at risk. Today it is my account, tomorrow it could be yours. No one is safe if regulators do not step in.
