Like others, my phone is also for emergency need in wildfire country in case other phone tower service goes down [they have]. Because PPC has never had auto refill for PAYG, I have to call or sign in every 120 days to roll over my unused funds and there have been challenged circumstantial misses, but PPC has restored the balance. Today on 7/23/25, the PPC system no longer allows the rep to restore funds and the rep is escalating my case to the engineering team with unknown results. I had 3 years of accumulated funds that disappeared.
Verizon acquired PPC aka Trac Phone in 2021, so I don't know if they're responsible for this new issue. I'd be happy to do auto-refill every 120 days if only they would set such up. Elder abuse is going on at this point.
