Ovago Ovago is basically a scam

Ovago is basically a scam. My daughter bought a ticket and was given the option of paying $300 more for a refundable ticket. We received an invoice that only stated the final cost of the ticket. It did not include the additional charge we paid and it did not state that our ticket was refundable.

When we had to cancel her flight we spent, literally, one month trying to get our money back. We were not successful. Ovago's customer service is exceptionally terrible. Its hard to get anyone to answer the phone, calls get dropped, they tell you someone is assigned your case and they will call you (they don't).

Do yourself a favor and *never* do business with Ovago.

On another site we received a response from Ovago that was not* an accurate description of the process so I added additional details:

My daughter and I called several times. On the three occasions we got to speak to a person we were told that three different people were working on our case and would call back within 2-4 hours. They did not.

When we did finally get a call back it was at 11:30pm eastern standard time. Who does that!?!

The "review" of the screenshots of our purchase that were supposedly archived, took two weeks during which all of my emails went unanswered. When I finally got a call with an update I was told that the policies on cancelation were clear and that we did not qualify for a refund despite knowing that we paid an additional fee for a refundable ticket.

When I asked for copies of the screenshots, I was told customer service doesn't have access to them.

So, to summarize, the advertised fare of $1039 went up to $1400 with our selected tariff. The invoice we received made no mention of the additional fare. It took us almost 8 weeks to get help. And the "proof" that it was our fault was not available to customer service or to us. The "refund" we are waiting on (still don't have it) is for a little more than $100 on a $1400 ticket.

I don't know who wrote the other positive reviews on this site, but I would definitely find any other travel site. I will be actively looking for other review sites to spread the word on what can only be described as a barely legal scam.

Ovago Terrible Customer Service: My Experience with Ovago

This company is the worst! I had to fly from Lima to Canada, and I had to change my return flight. I called the airlines, but they said I had to deal with Ovago to make any changes. I called Ovago, and their customer service line said I had to use Live chat, and I would get an immediate response. I spent 8 hours on Live Chat, where I was told very often that someone 'would be calling me shortly'. After 8 hours, it was time for my flight, and still no call or reply, so I went to bed. The next morning, I received a message saying they could help with my flight change, but it would cost $300 plus a $300 'No Show' fee.

I was prepared to pay for the change, but not the 'no show' fee. So, I called their 'New reservations' line and had them change me to the 'changes department'. I asked about the 'no show' fee, and they agreed that they took 12 hours to reply, and that makes sense why I was a 'no show'. She agreed on their error, but she said it would take at least 24 hours for them to reply about whether Ovago would take responsibility. Meanwhile, the new flight I wanted to take was in 18 hours, and she said if I wanted the change, I needed to pay the $300 no show fee. As soon as I did that, Ovago would not refund me, and I would need to wait at least 24 hours for their reply.

So, I was stuck. If I wanted my flight, I had to pay the $300 no show fee. I just decided to book a whole new flight. If you use Ovago, you basically have absolutely horrible support. Don't use them!

Ovago OVAGO Review: Poor Service Cost Us Over $2000 and Unusable Credit

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with OVAGO. Me and my buddy booked a couple of tickets for United Airlines through their website back in June of 2020. We were supposed to go from Newark to Australia for a pretty sweet deal of $980 each, totaling $1860. But then, you know, Covid happened and Australia closed its borders to everyone except their own citizens and permanent residents. So we couldn't go.

OVAGO told us we could get a credit for the tickets that would be good until the end of 2022. But then we found out that we could only access that credit through OVAGO, since they were the ones who sold us the tickets. So we called them up on September 2nd to rebook our flights using the credit. They said they had to get the credit approved by United, which would take 3-4 days, and that they would call us back.

Well, they didn't call us back. We called them a week later and they said they were still waiting for approval. Another week went by and still no tickets, no call back, nothing. We called them repeatedly for the next 3 weeks and got nothing but conflicting information, transfers to unanswered lines, and being cut off. It was a real mess.

Meanwhile, the prices for our flights were going up and up, and since we didn't have a confirmed booking, we didn't have fares locked in. At the beginning of this whole process, OVAGO quoted us a price of $1061 for the tickets, plus our credit. But after 3 weeks of delays, the credit still wasn't approved and the ticket prices were rising almost daily. So we gave up on OVAGO and bought new tickets directly for about $2400 each.

All in all, OVAGO's poor service cost us over $2000, and they still have our credit, which seems impossible to use. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Ovago Deceptive Refund Policy: My Disappointing Experience with Ovago

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Ovago. I thought I was being smart by paying extra for a refundable flight, but it turns out their terms of service are pretty deceptive. Long story short, my partner got hit by a car and couldn't travel for our planned trip in January. We had doctors notes and everything, but Ovago still gave us the runaround and only offered a partial refund. It's been a real nightmare dealing with their customer service team, too. The first person I talked to, Sarah, didn't seem to know anything about medical terminology and just kept asking for more and more documentation. The second person, Dale, was a bit more sympathetic but still couldn't give me a straight answer. And the third person, Wagner, actually gave me some hope that I might get a full refund - but then the supervisor came in and offered a measly $350 as a "goodwill" gesture. It's just not right. I saved up all year for this trip, and now I'm not even sure if I'll be able to afford it again for a whole year. And the tickets were really expensive, too. I wouldn't recommend Ovago to anyone - their business model is just too sneaky and deceptive. Next time, I'll stick with something like Hopper or just book straight through the airlines.

Ovago Ovago Travel Review: Scam Company Promising Refunds but Fails to Deliver for Over Nine Months

Unfortunately, my experience with Ovago was extremely disappointing. As a gift to my family, I booked three flights to Germany during the Covid-19 pandemic. I knew it was risky, but Ovago specifically stated that they offered refunds for cancellations. The flights were scheduled for 9/18/2020-10/4/2020, and unfortunately, the trip had to be canceled on 9/8/2020 due to international travel restrictions and work restrictions because of Covid-19.

I was optimistic that I would receive a refund since I had all the necessary documents and paperwork to file a claim. The company acknowledged my claims and assured me that I would receive the credit directly to my credit card account. However, it has been almost nine months, and despite numerous weekly requests for a refund, I have yet to receive my money back. It is incredibly disappointing and frustrating that Ovago has taken my money and left me without an explanation or compensation.

I believe that Ovago is a scam of a company and would advise anyone looking to book travel through them to steer clear. It has been a robbery of sorts, and I have been left feeling taken advantage of. They deserve less than one star for their service, and I hope that others do not have to experience the same fate as myself.

Ovago Ovago Review: A Frustrating and Disappointing Experience Dealing with COVID-19 Travel Issues

My experience with Ovago (ovago.com) was frustrating and disappointing. My daughter and wife were stranded in Brazil due to COVID-19, and I tried to contact Ovago for help with changing their flights. I spent hours on hold and was frequently disconnected or given false promises of help by customer service representatives.

After a week and a half of this, they offered me a deal for $718, claiming it was the difference in ticket prices. However, I later found out that my wife had already found tickets for both of them at a total cost of $800. Despite this, Ovago refused to honor the cheaper price and instead insisted I pay their inflated price.

Eventually, I gave in and provided my credit card information, only to be left waiting for three more days with no tickets being sent. Frustrated and tired of dealing with Ovago, I purchased new tickets for my family. When I attempted to get a refund from Ovago, I was once again met with long wait times and unhelpful customer service.

Overall, my experience with Ovago was a complete scam. They took my money without providing any real help, and I would strongly advise anyone against doing business with them. It's a shame that such a company is even allowed to operate, and I hope that others will learn from my experience.

After completing the verification process, I was sent an email confirming that my flight was being processed. However, the next morning, I was hit with a shocking surprise. Ovago informed me that the price of my tickets had increased and gave me a limited time to decide if I still wanted to proceed with the booking. I scrambled to confirm within the time limits, only to receive an email an hour later stating that my flight had been cancelled altogether.

Ovago My Frustrating Experience with Ovago: Poor Communication, Wasted Time, and Delayed Refunds

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Ovago (ovago.com) and I feel compelled to share my story with others in the hopes that they can avoid the same headaches that I experienced. I had purchased airfare tickets with Ovago prior to the pandemic, and unfortunately, my flight was canceled in April of 2020. Like many others in this situation, I opted for flight credits instead of a refund. I contacted Ovago and requested that they send me the details of my flight credits via email. However, despite multiple requests, I never received an email with this information.

After multiple follow-up calls with their customer service department, I finally got in touch with someone and was informed that my flight credits would only work through Air France. Unfortunately, there were no flights available that matched my schedule and desired destinations. This led me to inquire about receiving a refund instead. However, when I asked for the last four digits of the card that was used, I was informed that the number I provided was incorrect. The Ovago representative claimed that I needed to visit my bank to get the issue resolved.

However, after doing so, I discovered that the last four digits of the card that was on file with Ovago did not match any account I have or had. I asked for a refund via check sent to my billing address, but was informed that this was not possible. I was at my wits' end, feeling like my time was constantly being wasted. Finally, I was able to track down a bank statement of the original purchase which included the card numbers that I had sent to Ovago. After sending a screenshot of the statement to Ovago, the correct card number was found – apparently, the company had made an error when inputting the number previously.

Despite finally getting this issue sorted out, I was informed that it would take 2-4 business weeks for my refund to be processed. When I followed up with the company after this time had passed, I was told that the process could take several months instead. It has now been a month and a half, and I'm still waiting for my refund to be processed.

Overall, I have been extremely disappointed with my experience with Ovago. Their communication has been poor, and I have felt like my time has been wasted at every turn. As such, I will be avoiding Ovago in the future and would encourage others to do the same.

Ovago Terrible Experience with Ovago: Lack of Assistance and Transparency amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

Booking through Ovago has been a terrible experience for us. As we are sure you are aware, COVID-19 continues to pose a significant health risk, especially for unvaccinated individuals and those with underlying health conditions. We booked flights through Ovago to visit family in Germany, but after Poland and Germany were added to the "do not travel list", we requested a refund or to change the dates on our tickets. Unfortunately, our initial request made on Friday 12/03 was met with less than desirable results.

Ovago agent Alton informed us it would take two days for him to contact Lufthansa airline and get back to us. Disappointingly, we did not hear back from him by Monday 12/06 and were forced to contact Ovago ourselves. We were transferred to Alton once again, who informed us that Lufthansa had denied our request for a change to our reservation. However, when we asked about the possibility of a refund, Alton said he would contact Lufthansa again and get back to us within 24 hours, which he did the next day.

Regrettably, Lufthansa once again denied our request for a refund, but informed us that changes to the fare were permitted. However, this had to be done through Ovago, as Lufthansa was unable to see the fare we had paid. We were left feeling disappointed by the lack of care and assistance provided by Ovago in this situation. It seems that Ovago is quick to take your money but not so quick to assist you later on.

As we write this, we are currently on hold with Ovago's exchange department to see what our next steps should be. We feel strongly that it is best to book directly with airlines if possible as these travel agencies continue to disappoint us with their lack of transparency and down-right dishonesty.

Ovago Negative Experience with OVAGO: Unhelpful Contact Center and Lack of Customer Service

I recently had an extremely negative experience with OVAGO, and I strongly advise against booking with this company. Sadly, their contact center is completely outsourced and you will not receive any assistance in the case of an emergency. I waited for an extensive period of time, approximately 15 minutes, only to be met with an uncooperative employee who refused to allow me to speak with their manager when I requested to do so.

In my situation, I was due to fly with United Airlines, a company that I also do not recommend, but unfortunately, due to COVID consolidating their flights, I realized that there had been certain changes to my journey. To my great disappointment, OVAGO neglected to inform me of these changes, leaving me having to take it upon myself to contact them. However, they proved themselves to be unhelpful, informing me that they couldn't assist me, and that any changes to my journey would need to be made by the airline - the opposite of the truth and confirmed by United Airlines themselves.

OVAGO continued to play the blame game and refused to take responsibility, blaming the entire fiasco on the airline. I tried to request a switch to a flight with a shorter layover, something that would have brought me great relief, but they only agreed to do so if I paid additional fees. Unfortunately, this company did not prioritize customer satisfaction in the way I had hoped, contrasting with the experiences of other travel companies such as Expedia.

To make matters worse, I requested multiple times to speak with a manager in an attempt to resolve my issues, only to be told repeatedly that a callback would be made within 24 hours - of course, they never contacted me.

Thus, my trip ended with an 8-hour layover with my 2-year-old child - an experience that I deeply regret. The company even refused to compensate me for the difference in my payment and the time I had to spend in the airport. All in all, my experience with OVAGO was extremely poor, and I would strongly advise against using them for any of your travel needs. They will not inform you of changes, nor will they assist you when you encounter any issues - which seems to happen frequently these days.

Ovago Terrible Experience with Ovago: Unprofessional Service and Hidden Fees

I had a terrible experience with Ovago. I recently decided to book an international flight through their website and what should have been a relatively straightforward process ended up taking me eight hours to resolve and involving six phone calls. Initially, I was quoted $1996.00 for my ticket, when Delta Airlines was offering the same flight for $1775.05. After some back and forth, Ovago matched the price and I purchased the ticket, thinking the process was over. However, shortly after, I received a call from Brock telling me that I needed to pay an extra $190.90 because the seats were no longer available at the lower price. When I looked up my flight on delta.com, I saw that the same seats were still available at the same price. When I reached out to Ovago to let them know I wasn't going to pay more, I was told that one of my tickets had been canceled and I had to purchase a new one. I had to beg for a cancellation email for the original ticket, and felt pressured and bullied into buying a new ticket.

To make matters worse, the error that led to me having to purchase two tickets was not my fault, but that of Ovago. Despite this, they refused to offer me any future credit for the inconvenience caused. The customer service representative, Wayne, was rude and aggressive throughout our conversation, and it was clear that what Ovago cared about most was making a profit off my airline ticket.

Overall, it was an incredibly stressful situation and easily the worst experience I've had in my nearly 23 years of international flying. I would not recommend using this company and suggest that if you must book travel insurance, you go through your airline company instead, as it is much cheaper.

Ovago OVAGO's Poor Customer Service and Refund Process: A Nightmare Experience

When trying to get a refund for a booked flight through OVAGO, our experience has been less than satisfactory. Our journey with OVAGO began back in January 2020, when we booked two round-trip tickets from Orlando to Paris for July of the same year. As expected, we were unable to utilize the tickets, and AirCanada informed us that we were eligible for a voucher. However, our attempts to work with the OVAGO representative, Sherry, assigned to our case, proved unsuccessful for several weeks. Eventually, Sherry informed us that we were eligible, but we would have to pay an extra few hundred dollars to OVAGO. Although we were hesitant, we agreed to pay to gain peace of mind.

Fast forward to May 2021, and AirCanada notified us that we were eligible for a cash refund of the full ticket value as long as we requested by a certain deadline. However, we had to go through OVAGO to initiate the refund. But, it's already January 2022, and we haven't received our refund. Whenever we try to communicate with OVAGO, it's spotty, and they keep saying they've requested a refund from AirCanada, but AirCanada has no record of any request. Raul is now handling our tickets but still only assures us that they've requested the refund, and we're currently waiting for AirCanada's response. It's been over six months since we requested the refund, and OVAGO's only response has been the same line that they're still waiting for AirCanada and a confirmation number that AirCanada confirms is invalid.

At this point, we're starting to lose hope that we'll ever receive our refund. Our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. All we want is our refund, so we can move on from this challenge. It's become clear that OVAGO's communication and customer service are seriously lacking, and it's cost us both time and money. To prevent others from facing similar problems, we'd recommend booking travel with another company.

Ovago Avoid Ovago for Your Travel Needs: A Frustrating and Unhelpful Experience

As someone who has had a negative experience with Ovago, I would highly advise against using their services. I have been dealing with disputed charges amounting to over 3,000 USD and have had an incredibly difficult time getting any sort of resolution from the company.

In light of the current pandemic, I would suggest avoiding any booking agency and instead opting for direct tickets for peace of mind. However, even direct tickets may not ensure a stress-free travel experience as airlines and companies can be unreliable when it comes to refunds and free date changes.

Ovago, in particular, has proven to be a frustrating and unhelpful company to work with. I have been given the runaround by customer service representatives who refuse to let me speak to a supervisor and have been forced to work with one individual regardless of whether they are actually working or not.

During a recent trip to Qatar, when I realized my original trip was essentially canceled, I tried to secure a return trip to the US. Although I had a full leg of my trip and my return trip as collateral for a new ticket, I was unable to get any assistance from Ovago. They even changed the managing agency to another company, which prevented Qatar Airlines from being involved in the process. The entire ordeal was a blatant lie and extremely frustrating.

In addition, Ovago has not been helpful in canceling my fiancee's trip, which has been canceled by the airline six times. While the airline has offered a full refund, Ovago has claimed they cannot get a hold of the company, leaving me without a resolution.

Furthermore, when it comes to changing dates, Ovago has insisted that I pay a difference in fare, even though the airline offers the same dates for a much cheaper price. It has become clear that Ovago is less concerned with providing great customer service and more concerned with taking advantage of their customers in any way possible.

In these uncertain times, it is best to avoid companies like Ovago who seem more interested in scamming their customers than helping them. It is important to know your rights and fight back against predatory practices. I will be disputing every charge with my credit card and contacting US authorities to report Ovago's practices. I strongly advise against using Ovago for any future travel plans.

Ovago Frustrating Experience with Ovago: Cancelled Flight & Travel Protection Plan Review

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Ovago while trying to obtain a refund for a cancelled flight during the pandemic. I was initially concerned about the status of my flight and attempted to stay in touch with the agents through various channels. Unfortunately, I found out through the airline that my flight had been cancelled before Ovago notified me.

While trying to resolve the situation, I encountered persistent difficulty getting a response from the agents. Despite numerous attempts to reach out to them, I was repeatedly told to wait, and the agent originally assigned to my case, Emmet, even stopped responding to my email inquiries for no apparent reason. I was eventually able to connect with Emmet again after reaching out with a different email, but this continued inconsistency was wholly frustrating.

In an effort to protect myself from further flight cancellations due to the pandemic and unforseen circumstances, I purchased the Travel Protection Plan from Ovago. Unfortunately, many of the agents I spoke with were dismissive of my concerns and skeptical of my ability to read and understand the Plan. However, I was ultimately able to use it to cancel all of my flights and receive a full refund for my trip, which had originally cost $951.71 plus fees.

The process of utilizing the Travel Protection Plan was convoluted and unnecessarily stressful. I was redirected to multiple departments, put on hold for extended periods of time, and frequently transferred to the wrong agent or department. Ultimately, I was only able to obtain a refund of $481.55 from Ovago, a far cry from the full cost of my trip.

Overall, my experience with Ovago was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I wasted significant amounts of time and money attempting to resolve my issue and was met with unhelpful customer service that left me feeling taken advantage of. While the Travel Protection Plan may seem like a good way to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances, in the end it only added stress and confusion to the already difficult process. I would not recommend Ovago to others based on this experience.

Ovago OVAGO Review: Refund Nightmare and Poor Customer Service

Listen up folks, I gotta tell you about my experience with OVAGO and it ain't pretty. Now, I ain't one to badmouth nobody, but when it comes to getting a refund for a plane ticket, these guys just don't cut it. I shelled out a whopping $1300 for a ticket with them, but then some unfortunate circumstances came up and I couldn't make my flight. So, I tried to get a refund, but OVAGO refused to give me my money back. And it ain't just me, they did the same thing to a bunch of other people too.

Now, I ain't gonna lie, I was pretty upset about this. I mean, they told me they were working on my case and put me on hold for over 3 hours, but then they never called me back like they said they would. And when I finally got through to them, they told me that I could reschedule my flight for free, but then when I tried to do that, they wanted to charge me almost a thousand bucks! And then they said they would refund me, but only $260 of the $1300 I spent. That ain't right, folks. They're just trying to steal from their customers.

And let me tell you, this whole thing has really messed up my plans. It's even affected the date of my wedding! And now, they won't even give me my money back. But you know what? I ain't gonna take this lying down. I'm gonna get my money back one way or another. And my advice to you guys? Don't ever use OVAGO. They're just gonna cause you a whole lot of trouble.

Ovago OVAGO Airlines Review: Unreliable and Disappointing Service

I gotta say, OVAGO is not the best airline out there. I mean, if I could give them a big fat ZERO stars, I would. But I'm feeling generous today, so I'll give them a measly 1 star. And honestly, they don't even deserve that.

Let me tell you about my experience with OVAGO. I needed to rebook my return flight to a later date, so I called their customer service hotline. After waiting on hold for what felt like an eternity, I finally spoke to someone who gave me prices that were way too high - over $500 per person from the original flight. But I was desperate, so I agreed to it. The guy told me I would receive an email with all the details on how to rebook, but weeks passed and I heard nothing. So I called their hotline again, but whenever I selected the "change itinerary" option, the call just hung up on me. Frustrated, I tried their chat support, but they were no help either. They just kept passing me from one agent to another, saying that my issue was out of their scope. What a waste of time!

Ovago Ovago Review: A Total Disaster from Booking to Boarding - Do Not Recommend

Our experience with Ovago was a total disaster. We thought everything was going smoothly during the sales process, but once we booked our tickets, it was a complete nightmare. We had a lot of trouble trying to change our return flight, and it was all because we had to wait for someone to call us back. We tried to get in touch with them every other day, but it took them a whopping two weeks to finally get back to us. By that time, the prices of the flights had skyrocketed, and we were left with no choice but to stick with our original booking.

But that wasn't the end of our troubles. When we tried to check-in online, we were met with an error message that left us scratching our heads. We had no idea what was going on, and we were starting to get worried. When we finally got to the airport, we were told that our seats weren't confirmed, and we had to wait for the gate manager to assign us seats. We were shocked to learn that the flight was overbooked, and we had to wait and see if anyone was going to cancel their flight last minute. It was a stressful experience, and we were left wondering if we were even going to make it on the flight.

To make matters worse, we were the last people to board the plane, even though we had arrived at the airport three hours in advance. It was a frustrating experience, and we were left feeling angry and disappointed. Ovago Ovago Review: Terrible Customer Service and Lack of Assistance Resulted in Expensive and Stressful Travel Experience

I recently had a flight booked with Ovago from Iquitos Peru to Lima Peru, then on to Mexico City to San Antonio. However, when I tried to check in for my Peruvian flights, they were nowhere to be found. I immediately called their Customer Service for assistance and was promised a call back. Unfortunately, I never received a call back and was forced to purchase a second ticket from another carrier at an additional cost of $1300 USD. Despite this, I received an email from Ovago's Customer Service stating that my issue had been resolved. However, it was I who had to resolve the issue, not Ovago.

To make matters worse, during my trip to Peru, one of my flights was delayed. I called Ovago in advance to ask for assistance in planning my next flight as I knew I would miss my connection. However, I was told to call the airline myself as Ovago couldn't do anything. As a result, I ended up spending two nights stranded in two different airports due to their lack of assistance. To add insult to injury, calling their Customer Service was a nightmare. On one occasion, a woman had screaming children in the background, and on another call, a man's family was speaking loudly, making it difficult for him to hear me.

I had purchased insurance from Ovago, but it was completely useless in this situation. Overall, this was the worst and most expensive travel experience I have ever had. I am extremely disappointed with Ovago's lack of assistance and poor customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Ovago Unpleasant Experience with Ovago: Unreasonable Fees and Poor Customer Service

I recently booked a return flight with Ovago to travel from Chicago to London. Unfortunately, three days before my return trip, I tested positive for covid. I contacted Ovago to rearrange my flight, but the experience was not pleasant. The first problem I had was that it was hard to understand the Ovago representatives. Their English was not great, and the situation was made worse by the loud music playing in the background.

When it came to rebooking my flight, Ovago charged me $683, claiming that it was "the difference in the ticket price." I explained that I had tested positive for covid and was not allowed to fly, but this did not help. Feeling stuck and needing to book a return flight, I paid the fee. However, in the days following that call and before my new flight, I contacted American Airlines and explained my situation to them. To my surprise, I was told that with a positive covid case, there are NO fees involved, and the ticket change should have been free. I called Ovago back and explained what AA had said, but this did not help either.

In the end, I had to pay $50 more to have AA take over my ticket so that I would not have to deal with Ovago again. It was a frustrating experience, and I felt like Ovago was taking advantage of the covid situation to line their own pockets. Beware of Ovago, as they seem to take money from their customers for no reason.

Overall, I will never book through Ovago again, and I suggest that you do the same. Their customer service was poor, and their fees were unreasonable. It's essential to do your research before booking with any travel agency, and I hope that my experience will help you make an informed decision.

Ovago Avoid Ovago for Flights - My Frustrating Experience with Booking & Customer Service

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Ovago, an online booking site for flights. After booking a flight through them and paying $111, I arrived at the airport to find out that the flight I had booked hadn't been operational for 2 months. Despite their claim that Air Transat flight TS 931 was scheduled to depart, it simply wasn't the case and there was no one present to assist me in person since no Air Transat flights were scheduled at that time. As a result, I was left stranded without a backup plan and had to find an alternate flight home. This ended up costing me over $400 and was an unexpected expense I didn't need that day.

I reached out to Ovago's online chat feature for assistance, but I found it useless and unhelpful. Additionally, my emails to the company have gone unanswered so far, which is incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I had hoped to receive some form of customer service or support from Ovago, but they have yet to acknowledge my complaints.

Overall, I would not recommend using Ovago for flights based on my experience. It's unacceptable to sell tickets for flights that are not in operation and leave customers stranded without any reliable recourse for support.

Ovago Ovago's Pathetic Customer Service: A Personal Experience

If you are looking to book a flight with Ovago, be warned - their customer service is nothing short of PATHETIC. I recently tried to change the date of my flight and ended up contacting their customer service team for help. Little did I know that it would be a three-day-long ordeal. After being put on hold for more than 10 hours in total, I was sadly left without any assistance.

In fact, one of the agents I spoke to ended up cancelling my return flight altogether, leaving me in a serious predicament. It's quite disheartening when you're seeking help from customer service and they end up making things worse for you.

My advice? Pay an extra $1000 if you can, but avoid booking with Ovago unless you are 100% sure of your travel plans. Even if you have a support bundle in your plan, they are unlikely to be able to help you make any changes or reschedule your flight.

I even went as far as to document my experience, taking screenshots of my hour-long holds - most of which were even longer than that. This has been my worst customer care experience to date, and I would sincerely doubt anyone could beat it.

In the end, I learned an important lesson - always research the customer service reviews before booking any flight. You don’t want to find yourself in the same position I did - stranded and without any support.

Ovago Unreliable Agent and Price Change at Ovago.com - My Frustrating Experience with Booking a Flight

I write this review with a heavy heart, as I recently had a frustrating experience with Ovago (ovago.com). I was initially delighted with the customer service I received from an agent, who assured me that he would HOLD a fantastic deal on a flight for me for 24 hours. However, things quickly went downhill when I paid for the ticket that same evening, only to receive a message from the agent the next morning saying that they could no longer issue my ticket, as the price had doubled.

Not only did this mean that I was no longer able to go on the direct 13-hour flight that had been originally promised, but I was left with an alternative option that added an extra 17 hours to my journey time. To add insult to injury, it transpired that even at the time of purchase, I could have secured a direct flight at a similar price, had I not relied on the agent's reassurances.

Despite the fact that I had a booking confirmation and all of our conversations were documented in screenshots, Ovago refused to take any responsibility for the mistake, leaving me stranded without a ticket. Needless to say, I was incredibly disappointed with the company and would not recommend them to others based on this experience.

Ovago 0 Star Experience with Ovago: Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Assistance

Unfortunately, I have to say that my recent experience with Ovago was extremely disappointing. As someone who has traveled extensively for over 30 years, I have never encountered such poor customer service.

To begin with, multiple members of their help services failed me in a variety of ways. I received incorrect information about my flights, was told to wait for a response that never came, and was given no assistance whatsoever. Despite repeated reassurances that a manager would be in touch with me, I never received any follow-up.

As a result, none of the issues I encountered were resolved and I had to pay for every solution myself. This was an incredible frustration and created a great deal of stress during what should have been a simple and easy travel experience.

Luckily, it was only through the kindness of the airport staff and the Iberia personnel that I was able to navigate these challenges and make it to my destination. If I had known that I would essentially have to resolve everything on my own, I never would have relied on Ovago's assistance.

Overall, I have to give Ovago a 0 star rating if it were possible. While I understand that mistakes happen, the lack of support and follow-up from their customer service team cannot be ignored.

Ovago Unfortunate Experience with OVAGO: Misleading Advertising and Poor Customer Service

I had quite an unfortunate experience with OVAGO while trying to book a flight online through Kayak. Although I thought I had successfully purchased a ticket, I soon discovered that the date advertised was not actually available. This was especially frustrating after providing all of my personal information, including my credit card number.

I then received an email from a representative named Clark who informed me that the date I had chosen was not an option and suggested alternative dates that might work for me. I agreed to these changes but soon found myself consistently trying to reach out to the company via phone calls and emails regarding the alternative tickets that had been promised to me. Eventually, they informed me that even those dates were not available either!

In my opinion, this type of business practice is unacceptable. It is not fair to lead customers on with false advertising and then make it nearly impossible for them to actually book a ticket. It seems to me that OVAGO does not have the best interests of their clients in mind and instead focuses on how to avoid helping them.

Thus, I recommend that anyone looking to book a flight, whether it be via Kayak or directly through OVAGO, to look for other options. Ovago Beware of Ovago: Delayed Refunds and Poor Customer Service

Recently, we had an unfortunate experience with Ovago (ovago.com). We had booked flights through their platform but unfortunately our flights were cancelled just three days before departure. Initially, Ovago assured us that they would process our refund quickly within 72 hours of the cancellation. However, even after 17 days of waiting and multiple follow-ups via email and chat, we still haven't received our refund of over $3k. Ovago continues to blame the airline for not responding to them, which is unacceptable.

It is extremely disappointing that we had to purchase a service from Ovago, they did not provide it, and now they are delaying our refund. Due to this delay, we had to file a claim through our credit card company to get our money back, which is still pending. It is evident that Ovago is quick to take your money but struggles to issue a refund. We strongly discourage anyone from using Ovago and suggest that you book directly with the airlines to avoid the hassle and save yourself from dealing with a middleman.

Because of our negative experience, we have reported Ovago to both the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Federal Trade Commission for investigation. If our refund does not come soon, we may consider suing the company. It is unacceptable for a company to delay refunds and seem to be scamming many other individuals. In conclusion, beware of Ovago and choose a more reliable platform for your travel arrangements.

Ovago Disappointing Experience with Ovago Booking System: Review

I recently booked a trip to visit my parents through Ovago (ovago.com) and encountered some frustrating issues with their system. While I was able to secure a ticket for a reasonable price of $254, I soon discovered that there was a technical error that changed the passenger name to my mother when I entered my billing address. They informed me that they were able to adjust the name without any additional cost, which was a relief. For instance, I quickly discovered that Southwest Airlines' website had a lower cost option available, as did skiplagged, which was actually where I had originally booked the tickets through. It was only when I visited the Ovago website that I found a lower price, but given the trouble I had encountered with my initial booking, I was understandably hesitant to trust them again.

When I asked for options from Ovago to correct the mistake, I was informed that my only choice was to pay more for the ticket or pay an additional $50 cancellation fee. This was extremely frustrating, especially as I felt I had not received any satisfactory customer service throughout the process.

Overall, I would not recommend using Ovago if you have any other options available. While I appreciate that the initial mistake may have been a technical error, the lack of support, suggestions, and options provided to me by the customer service team were incredibly disappointing. Ovago Ovago Review: Terrible Customer Support and Bogus Information Caused Financial Losses

As frequent users of Ovago, we were initially pleased with the service provided. However, our experience took a turn for the worse in 2020 when my wife purchased a ticket to Spain from Ovago. Unfortunately, due to the Covid outbreak, the flight was cancelled. In order to cancel the ticket, my wife was charged a "cancellation fee." This was a red flag for us, but we decided to proceed with purchasing another ticket for a later date since my wife needed to see her family.

Sadly, this flight was also cancelled and we were shocked to find ourselves out of pocket by over $1200. 00. We believed that Ovago was a reputable company and hoped that they would rectify the situation. However, this was not the case. We encountered hours upon hours of ineffective customer support, bouncing between departments, speaking to multiple representatives who seemed clueless about our issue, and receiving empty promises of call backs that were never fulfilled. Additionally, we were fed bogus information about the airline holding our money.

Finally, we received an email offering a refund of "half" our money. However, this email proved to be false, and we have yet to receive any form of refund. It has been months since our initial issue, and we are still no closer to getting our money back. We are frustrated and disappointed by Ovago's lack of accountability and unwillingness to provide proper customer support.

We strongly advise against using Ovago and caution others to avoid dealing with them at all costs. It is unfortunate that this website does not allow zero stars as Ovago does not even deserve a single one.

My experience with Ovago (ovago.com) was quite disappointing, to say the least. While booking the flight was a breeze, things took a turn for the worst when I needed to make changes to my itinerary. I was met with total radio silence from their customer support team, despite multiple assurances that they would follow up with me regarding possible flight options.

Even V Mxxxxx, the COO of Ovago, gave me his word that he would personally see to it that my issue was resolved, but as it turned out, that was just an empty promise. To make matters worse, even after I reached out to him, there was still no follow-up regarding my request or the ongoing investigation.

It's important to note that this was a flight change that I needed to make due to COVID-related issues, so you can imagine my frustration at being stuck in limbo with zero support from the company. In the end, my wife was able to book the same flight directly with the airline and was able to change her ticket without any problems whatsoever.

In conclusion, if you're considering using Ovago for your travel needs, I would strongly advise against it. While they may offer competitive prices, the lack of customer support and general apathy towards their clients' needs is simply not worth the risk. Save yourself the headache and book your flights directly with the airline - it's the safer and more reliable choice.
