I made a reservation at North Italia, a new restaurant in Greensboro, N.C. As my wife and I were dressing and preparing to leave for the restaurant, I checked OpenTable to obtain our reservation number. To my surprise, I received an email from OpenTable informing me that our reservation had been canceled. Naturally, I was frustrated to learn this less than an hour before our scheduled dining time.
I immediately called the restaurant, where I was informed that our reservation had, in fact, not been canceled and was still confirmed. Despite this clarification, my wife and I, still upset, had a miserable dining experience, all due to the incompetence of OpenTable.
Recommendation: Don't use Open Table, they are incompetent!
You let yourself be miserable due to their mistake.
