Our buying experience with Olthof Homes was awesome. The sales person for the company, *** is so friendly and explains everything in detail. Communication was on point with the status of our home. I definitely recommend buying homes from Olthof.

Oltolf was super easy to deal with during the construction of my new home. The home was built real good and they have addressed all my concerns. They always kept me informed on next steps. Everyone was friendly and courteous. I feel overall the home was a good value for my investment.

I'm really happy with my townhouse! ***, my saleswoman was amazing throughout the whole building process. It was stress-free! The whole staff has been great, all of my walkthroughs and inspections. I highly recommend building in ***. It's such a great community!

I'm really worried after reading some shocking reviews about Olthof Homes, LLC. I wish I had seen them before I started the process of buying my own home from them. It would have been great to address these complaints with the salesperson. Now, I'll be extra cautious and thoroughly investigate the construction of my new home. I hope my current home, which I've been living in for 16 years, doesn't turn out to be better built than the one being constructed by Olthof Homes, LLC. This has definitely been a wake-up call for me, and I'll be conducting my own inspections during the next few months as they work on the foundation.

I bought an Olthof home in the spring of 2016 and I've been happy with my home's quality and my experience with the company. The sales team guided me through the whole buying process and answered all my questions. The folks at Olthof Homes work well together during the sale and closing, making it a smooth transaction. After closing, there were a few things that came up during my 1-year warranty period, but they were all taken care of promptly and fixed correctly. Even after six years, I'm still loving my new home and I'm really glad I chose to buy an Olthof home.

Terrible customer service. The carpet is completely flat and matted after 6 months. Three contractors last minute cancelled for repairs from 1 year ago. Still waiting. Door knob fell off 3 times, we finally replaced it ourselves. Poured concrete in rain. Ping marks all over it. Drywall taping was the worst I've seen. I'm in the industry. Shower door leaks from defective seal. Not corrected. The Olthoff easement is 3 feet deep grass. You can feel wind coming through the windows. The seals on the windows get fogged. Numerous issues not mentioned. They don't answer the phone or call back.

Don't buy a home from Olthof Homes, LLC. Their warranty is a joke. We had a flooring issue that persisted until closing, and even after 5 months, they still haven't fixed it. They won't support you or follow up with you. They initially said they needed to order tiles for the floor, which took them 3 months. When they finally came to fix it, they removed the tiles and opened the box, only to find that the tiles were different. They promised to come back the next day to fix it, but it's been a week and nobody has shown up. The floor is still exposed since they removed the tiles. I've tried calling and emailing, but nobody is responding, not even their contractor or anyone from Olthof Homes. Avoid buying homes from them. Stay away.

We built our first home with Olthof Homes and we're really impressed by how efficient and professional they were. Even with the pandemic going on, they managed to finish our home on time and the quality is amazing. Our journey started with Steven *** who was really careful in helping us through the process and knew a lot about what he was suggesting. Amber *** was really thorough in helping us choose the right things for our home. John and Bill were great to work with and made sure the transition into our forever home was easy. Tracey *** always answered our questions quickly and kept us informed. Overall, if we had to build another home, we would definitely choose Olthof Homes. They have an excellent team! Keep up the good work.

If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. The customer service is poor. Nothing is ever covered under the warranty, you have to threaten to get a lawyer involved for these people to send someone out to look at your issues. They never put any J-channel around any of our windows and now we have water damage throughout the entire house. I called and they said there is nothing they can do, it's not under warranty... So you build my house worse than poorly and refuse to actually fix any of the issues. I had to have my roof replaced within 2 years of having my home built and moving in because the shingles kept coming off every time there was wind. That also caused water staining in one of the bedrooms. We have nail pops throughout the house that were supposed to be fixed that never were. The floors all squeak on the second story, making it impossible to be quiet at night and wake up my toddler when he's sleeping because they are so loud. The flooring underneath the tile wasn't set properly, so the grout cracked and came out. Olthof Homes, LLC are bottom of the bottom line and beyond sub-par. We had to have them replaced, Olthof sent us the replacement windows and never actually sent anyone out to install the windows. And they sent us the wrong model windows, so we originally were only able to put in 3 out of 12 windows, and had to do it ourselves.

Yeah, 0 STARS. This builder is a cookie-cutter producer who is more concerned about quantity than quality. We bought our home in 2013 and our duplex was about 5 years old then. Now, where to start on the issues. The windows are cheap, as cold air comes through in the winter and heat in the summer. The fans are just for show in the bathrooms, no suction at all. Our dryer vents to the attic, and with few openings on the roof, our roof has started to warp (our neighbor's roof across the street is warped right over the garage). The shingles started falling apart after only 10 years. We've had qualified roofers come to look at our roof and all of them said they know Olthof puts up the worst type of shingles that last for a short time. It's a cost-cutting measure for them which hurts the homebuyers in the end. The walls are paper thin, we can hear everything in the neighbors' house. A cabinet closing rattles our walls. The dog barking in his house sounds like the dog's in our house. You can hear a vacuum cleaner clearly from his side. You hear the neighbor opening and closing their back door when we're on the other side of the house. We have a wall that bows out in a room. Our back door was put in improperly, resulting in water getting in the house. We have outlets and switches that don't work at all. We tried contacting the builder but they never responded. We went to look at another home built by them just to compare and their floors were not level. They had some of the same issues as our home. Even their newly built model home in a newer subdivision 10 minutes away had siding falling off already. I have friends and coworkers who had homes built by them and the issues they have are similar with poor customer service and shoddy jobs on fixing the issues. They didn't follow the blueprints for my friend's home and forgot to install nooks and other small things they paid for. It's fitting that the best part of the home is the garbage disposal. Needless to say, we will never buy another house from them again and hopefully landowners stop selling land to them. I'm tired of these poor quality homes being put up by this and other builders like them in the area. Can't wait to get out of this home.
