This insurance company denied the payment of benefits.
when driving my car, insuranced under this company, while visiting from dominican republic my in 2007 my wife had an accident hitting two other vehicles, the accident was her fault. the reason for the denial according to them(ocean harbor) was because in one of the documents i signed when first got the policy, a question asked if my wife had a drivers license from the us and i said no because she had a license from dominican republic and as a tourist she could use that one while visiting the country.

they use that semantic barrier of a miss written document to denied payments for the damage caused to the other cars, i got a lawyer and he started working on the case but i was paying him 200 dollars per hour and couldnt use him more i made a payment agreement with geico( insurance company for one of the other drivers) and paid them after they threath me with taking away my license, i was despered and cuouldnt find a pro bono lawyer to help me.

Now almost 3 years after that the other insurance company is calling me asking for 12000 dollars in damages, jejejejej nice now what am i going to do?

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever encountered.

I pay my premiums through autopay so they are always paid on time.

On November 21 I filed a claim on my 2016 Mini Cooper Countryman due to running over debris in the highway.

Hit said debris November 20 about 8:00 pm It was a dark night in pouring down rain.

I filed the claim the next morning.

Hear nothing from the adjuster until the following Monday when I was notified via email that and appraiser had been assigned to the claim.

After repeated calls and e-mails to the adjuster, which he did not respond to, I learned from the repair shop that an appraiser had been there, to view my car for damages on December 7th. Twelve days later! At which time it was pointed out to the appraiser that the transmission needed to replaced due to severe damage to the casing.

On December 9th I received an email attached to which was the estimate the appraiser gave for damages. Nowhere in the estimate is the transmission or the casing thereof.

On December 14th I finally got a call from the adjuster, Robert Gonzalez. Saying a check had been mailed December 10th a Sunday, to my residence made out to the bank where my car is financed and myself with my first name misspelled. During this call we discussed the transmission being badly damaged. I was told by the adjuster, Robert Gonzalez, during this conversation the appraiser is not a part of Pearl Holding Group but an outside source.

Robert Gonzalez, the adjusted told me he would contact the appraiser and have it re-appraised. He was to call me back the next day. I have never been able to speak to him again as he will not respond to the plethora of voicemails and emails I have sent.

During this time from November 21 to December 26 I have been in a rental car racking up a huge fee of which my policy will only reimburse for 10 days at $20 per dad.

Meanwhile my car is still sitting at the repair shop. The shop also contacted Pearl Holding Group and my adjuster Robert Gonzalez for clarity on the estimate. After speaking with my adjuster they were informed he would get an appraiser back out to the shop. That never happened!

I will be contacting an attorney the day after Christmas to file charges!

I have insurance through Ocean Harbor. A truck hit the car behind me multiple times and the car behind me hit me 3 times. The truck who caused the accident left the scene. I was hurt due to this accident I know have 2 herniated disk and 4 bulge disk. The girl who hit me has Geico but Geico will not pay because they say she wasn't at fault that she hit me because the truck hit her. I had to go through my insurance. Well my accident was 2/10/2017 it is now 4/3/2017 and nothing has been done. To make it worse Ocean Harbor had IAA salvage pick up my car. After the appraisal was done a IAA Ocean Harbor had IAA tow my car to the Collision Center well IAA caused alot of other damages to my car. This has been the worse experience I have ever had.

On 22 June 2016, my vehicle was involved in an accident of which I was not a fault.
I have called the Main telephone number for Pearl Holding Group, managing general agent for Ocean Harbor Casualty Insurance Company. I have attempted to contact Ocean Harbor agencies, 7 telephone numbers of the agencies around Florida and never have been able to contact anyone. I believe this company and it agents is a scam from the complaints I have read online about the Ocean Harbor Agencies. It looks like I will lose at about $13, 000 in a totaled vehicle. I will contact Florida DOJ Consumer Affairs and the State DOJ. I have to contact the driver of the other vehicle to find out his experience with the company as I believe his car is totaled..
I ended up with cracked ribs, which I am dealing with at the present.

This company is HORRIBLE. Their insured hit my truck. They towed my truck 2 hours & 20 minutes away (across the state)! You can leave a message but they never call you back. Even their supervisors don’t call you back. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau & the Florida Department of Financial Services and ENCOURAGE EVERYONE ELSE TO DO THE SAME. They placed my Truck at an Insurance Auto Auction across the state, removed my plates from my truck and Ocean Harbor Insurance Company is listed as the Seller. This company should not be in business! I have retained an Attorney and again encourage you to do the same.

I am also having trouble with this insurance company. Their insured customer wrecked her into my house! I have been trying to speak with a CSR since Nov 2010 it is now Feb 2011 no one will take a call and I have left more than 50+ message, They do not call back! Sent me a letter stating they would pay $1500.00 to have my house repaired if I sign a release! The damage is SO much more than that! They are UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE!
