I moved into my apartment last year in october, I live on the 15th floor. For some odd/stupid reason these idiots decide to turn off the heat in my bedroom. Now dont get me wrong, I love the winter (Cold weather) but i'll be damned, when I get home at 12am everyday there's no heat. I might as well sleep outside. I have made numerous calls/emails and put in tickets with the "emergency "team, what I get? A ticket number, the operator tells me someone will check on it in the morning. The following day, housing shows up and I have heat in my bedroom. The heat usually turns on at 6am-11pm no ###ing good I dont like working13 hours to go home to a freezing bedroom. My bedroom is so cold, iciles form at the ceiling. It's so cold I have to sleep in the living room. The solution from nycha: your line needs to bleed (we can only do it, during the summer overhaul) I have told them on numerous occasions, if I dont have heat in my bedroom come this winter I will sue the ### out of nycha!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Girl i feel our pain i just moved into nycha a month ago...on the first floor. there is all types of sewage problems. Ive been smelling sewer gas EVERY day the smell is stuck in our clothes even our pores at this point and they have the nerve to tell me this is normal and all first floor apartments in nycha have these pipes problemss...### I only smell it in MY apartment ! They wont do a damn thing to fix it eithier AND I have no heat and the windows are drafty as hell. I have to turn on my oven everyday all day and leave the door open to heat up my apartment. Im ###ing freezing my ### off in here and it stinks literally

I agree with you 100% I'm in the smith housing units and my studio apt. is very cold, the damn manager decided to cleaned and repaired the boiler on the coldest day of the year, and it's been down hill from there. have you tried calling your senator's and Micheal Knapp the general manager. always send certify mail i think I'm giving all this ### up and moving to Florida i always pay my rent on time but people just don't care good luck...
i live in dyckman and its the coldest of em all hell in [censor]ing september it feel like 20 degrees in the hole apartment iam a night worker to and shame on them putting on heat in day and basically for just a cuple of hours
i had to move my bed into living room and buy 3 heaters even one for bathroom which we all know is so dangroues as well as turning on over to get heat i dont get it if we pay [censor]ing rent guve the damm heat
DYCKMAN NYCHA SUCK they only care about payments and trying upkeep the outside to make manager look good

I am filing an complaint of no heat in the apartment. NYCHA Soundview Houses, in the Bronx, NYC. They office at 1920 Seward Avenue, Bronx, New York City, 10473. They really do not care of the staff. They always lie. And they do not want me, in the office.
