My husband and I were on the jade for 7 day Alaskan Cruise. Our last full day at Sea we discovered that our flight information was not coming up for the following night for us to go home. Our flight was booked through Norwegian. We received no emails ( we both purchased the internet plan) or notification of any kind. Original flight was on Air Canada from Vancouver to Toronto to NY Lga. When we asked guest services for help all they could do was get us an outside line to Air Canada which we were on hold for 1 and half hrs. All Air Canada could say was our flight was canceled and it went back to Norwegian. We contacted Norwegian Flight Dept. They informed me that they did rebook us on United and gave me all the information I needed and also sent us both emails. (they also told me guest services should of been able to get us this information) We were now flying Vancouver to Denver CO, to Washington D.C. to NEWAK NJ. (we live in long Island NY). Not only did we have an extra flight but because we only found out the day before the only seats available on first flight were premium seat which was 40.00 for each second flight we got extra leg room because I was not sitting in a middle seat in the back between 2 strangers for 3 plus hours. those were 25 or 30 not sure then last flight We picked extra leg room for comfort so thats on us. We also had to rent a car from Newark to get home because it was cheaper than train or taxi. so it cost us about $400 more than it would have between seats and Rental car not to mention we were traveling for about 23 from the time we left the ship.
Claimed loss: Its not so much about the extra cost as it is our last day which should of been relaxing was very stressful.
Desired outcome: We really did enjoy our cruise and the ship and hope to book through you again.
